121 Chapter 120: End of a Nightmare

'Outer gods? Cthulhu? No wonder it sounded so fucking familiar, they're those eldritch gods from Lovecraft!' Xiu Ye silently cursed as he saw the long monstrous tentacles, belonging to one of the most known lovecraftain god–Cthulhu, wave and slapping in the air and around the steel floors randomly.

It sent a chill down his spine as it wiggle its slimy grotesque limbs around.

As if that wasn't disgusting enough, Na Nali was facing the tentacles with a revered and blushing look on her face.

He'd seen enough hentai to know where this was going...

"....goddamn Japan and their tentacle fetishes." Ryūjin Jakka commented with a sigh as he saw the limbs of the eldritch god wiggle and move around from its small dimensional crack on reality.

'Wha-What the fuck are you talking about? The Lovecraft Mythology isn't from japan nor is it inspired by it!' Xiu Ye rebuked. 'At least, I think it is. Cthulhu might be inspired from a hentai probably–ah, what the hell am I talking about?! There's a literal nightmare inducing god in front of me here! Hentai might be important, but living is even more! Back on topic, how am I going to deal with this? This is a god, for fuck's sakes!'

"Outer God, you mean." Tianguo 'helpfully' said, albeit forcefully.

She didn't know why, but something deep inside her; specifically her Deathly Hallow, was calling out for the outer god in front of her.

If she didn't just received a history lesson from the psychotic girl in front of her then, she would have probably trusted her instincts and go towards it. For it could have helped her on her mission of meeting her master.

'Shut. Up. Outer God or God, they're almost the same goddamn type anyway! To put it simply; they're absurdly strong beings that someone on my level couldn't possibly fight against!' He could practically feel his shirt being completely soaked from all the cold sweat he was letting out.

"What about using one of the anti-divine weapons?"

'Use them? I would like to but these anti-divine noble phantasms have really strict, or over the top requirements needed to use them. Did you know, using a certain spear that pierced the body of Christ requires the acknowledgement of God before they could use its anti-divine properties?'

"Huh? Which god are you talking about?" Tianguo asked.

'The big G himself, a very known and powerful god in my previous world, who's supposedly known to have created the universe and every living being. So...yeah, I am not opening that big can of worms before either the Divine Realm or the Douluo Gods are back on the Douluo Planet.'

'There's also the Chains of Heaven, Enkidu, a pretty OP noble phantasm against divine beings but the soul power needed to project and use it on the big bastard would be too much for me to handle; I'll be drained dry before I can even force it back to its dimension.'

'And there's another issue of using the anti-divine noble phantasms: I don't even know if it'll work on Outer Gods! Clearly, there's a difference between a normal divine being and an eldritch abomination that can mind fuck a person just from seeing its true form.'

A tentacle lashed out and strike the ground besides Xiu Ye, making him snap out of his thoughts and looked back into the alter.

The mass of slimy green tentacles floated around the alter, red shining lights glowed bright around it that it completely enveloped on the entire area around it; a gigantic red pupil eye appeared in the middle of that mass of gigantic slippery limbs that was as big as a car.

The gigantic eye stared blankly into empty space, looking a bit dazed, it remained silent but the power radiating out of it was incredible. The waves of energy it was releasing made space and time and reality distort around it, it was enough to vaporize any weaker soul masters into dust when they get near it into dust.

It further cemented its status, as a god. A being that mortals would worship out of either love or fear.

"How beautiful~" Na Nali gazed upon the eldritch being with a revered look; falling to her knees without any hesitation and prostrated herself towards the otherworldly being in front of her.

"Na Nali, greets and welcomes the old great god."

Xiu Ye watched all of this with a fearful look on his face, he could feel it–death, death was coming for him if he so ever gets into the alter. He would die, it was as simple as that.

Hesitation and indecision was clear in his eyes, he didn't know what to do.

Should he risk it?

'What do I do....? If I just leave, run as fast as I could, I could warn the others about this and let real experts deal about this the way it should've been.'

"You know that wouldn't work." Ryūjin Jakka said. "That thing has already got you in his sight, knowing how bad their kind are, I wouldn't let it past them that they would just let a prey like you escape. No. The moment that thing gets used to this world's laws, he would kill you and absorb your essence; destroying your soul forever. And judging by slight moment of its eye, it wouldn't be for too long."

Xiu Ye clicked his tongue and narrowed his eyes, the shame and fear on his face were changed into resolute and determined, 'So the thing hasn't gotten used to this world's laws and should be immobile for a while, right?'

"Yeah. It was unnoticeable for a moment but I could really sense the Planar Lord trying to kick the outer god out of the planet and cut the dimensional tunnel. Problem is, however, that the outer god is too strong and is resisting. It would only be a matter of time before it could break its restrictions however." Tianguo replied.

'....Ryūjin Jakka, give me access to Zanka no Tachi.' A cold light flashed in his eyes as embers of ultimate fire sparked around his body.

"Alright. But it's going to take a while, also you owe me a duel."

'Its fine. It's time to finish this, once and for all.'

"My body, is made out of swords..."

Using Reinforcement on his entire body, activating Unlimited Sword Body and using his One-word Battle Armor that looks like a Black Knight's Armor with a red visor, Xiu Ye stood up from his spot, his four soul rings rose up beneath his feet as he spoke out the words that caused a sea of flames to sprout and engulf the entire underground area,

"Reduce All Creation to Ash, Ryūjin Jakka!"

...

The battle was hard and extremely tedious.

The entire underground area was entirely scorched in black ash; the structural integrity of the building seemed as if it was about to collapse on itself just by a breeze of wind with all of the damages while the moisture in the air is completely depleted and oxygen almost nonexistent.

The battle had took about three to four hours. It took twenty minutes battling and killing Na Nali and the remaining time on cutting all of the tentacles of Cthulhu while trying to dodge them; they had the weight strength enough to crack space and they moved at the speed of Mach 10. Xiu Ye even lost his left arm when he was he caught off guard and was struck by one of its tentacles.

The worst part of the battle with it, was its eye. The damn thing had the ability to mesmerize anyone into thinking that they were attacking and killing their close friends and family. It was how he got caught off guard, several times that costed him several lacerations and large slash wounds on his body that would have killed him already if it weren't for his healing factor.

Ryūjin Jakka, even going through bankai, Zanka no Tachi; a blade that was infused with ultimate fire that can even burn concepts, Yamato; a sword that can virtually cut through anything, Mjolnir and even Tianguo's help weren't enough for the job so he had to project a couple more weapons to help him kick the god out of the Douluo Plane.

He had to used several other anti-immortal, anti-army, anti-unit and one anti-divine; a one time use only, noble phantasms in the fight against that monster.

Also....yeah, kicked out.

The small part of Cthulhu that had forced its way into the Douluo Plane was immortal; thoroughly unkillable, even with an anti-immortal scythe called Harpe, it just wouldn't kill it. Its regeneration was just too absurd; regenerating in an instant every time he had managed to sever one of its limbs or cut its eye, managing to only sometimes delay it by a second when he uses Harpe and the anti-divine noble phantasm.

It was a hard fought battle though, with Xiu Ye having won by cutting all of its tentacles at the same time and slashing its eye with Ryūjin Jakka; it would prioritize its healing on its eye, so the severed limbs were left bleeding for a second. That moment of chance was enough for the red head to summon a gigantic sword called Sul-sagana, a really big ass sword that he only needed about a quarter of it to push the eldritch entity into the dimensional tunnel and used the Yamato to cut the connection between the void and Douluo Plane.

And so, as Xiu Ye lay on the ground; only a few pieces of his One-word Battle Armor were left on his body, most of his skin were replaced with sharp blades and his stump had several long blades protruding out of it; making a substitute arm.

He was bruised and severely injured; large cuts and slashes all over his body, with his left leg seem to almost fallen off, that his healing factor was making quick work on. He let out a laugh.

Even if his throat felt dry from a lack of oxygen, burning his lungs even further from inhaling the flames of Ryūjin Jakka's fire, that he coughed uncontrollably–he continued on laughing.

Even if there were some questions he wanted answers to right now, he didn't care.

He raised his right arm up, his hand spread open before folding them into a fist.

Tears in Xiu Ye's eyes, a large bloody cut over his left eye.

"Heh, I won Cthulhu. I hope to never, ever, see you fucker or any of your kind ever again...."

Yes, it was finally over.

❄️

And finally, the entire evil soul masters and undead arc is done! Well, almost. I still have to write a aftermath chapter/s and then we continue on to the Shrek Academy Arc.

I'm gonna be honest here, this arc? Sucks. Capital S. When I first started writing about a plot with zombies in it, I thought it was going to be fun and exciting. Turns out, it was a bitch to write and turned boring af when it got drawn out.

Well, no more! We're going back to a bit of canon with Xiu Ye and his friends go through being Shrek students, not all of them will be, and a tournament in Star Luo by the end of it.

I had enough of the second arc so I completely skipped the fight scene chapter here, I'll probably write a chapter of it for a special or something. I know some of you might get mad about it but honestly, do you guys really want to make this stupid arc even longer?

Because a couple of chapters later, the third Arc will begin! To which, I have absolutely no idea what I'm gonna call it.

I have planned that they go through being students, doing what 'normal' students in a soul master world would, add a bit of some OC events, and end it at the Star Luo Continental Tournament.

So, thoughts on what title the 3rd Arc would be? I already decided on it but if your tittle sounds cooler on the one I'm planning on, then comment down.

Btw, I'm gonna estimate, this story will end in either Arc 4 or 5 with a bit of side stories and epilogue.
