Shocking Revelation

"You all did well." Wu Zhangkong praised his two main students and Xie Xie. It was unlike him but for people their age and considering that Xie Xie was still adapting to his new skill set they did wonderfully.

"Thanks." Gu Yuena thanked their teacher shockingly informally though the only person who would mind, Xie Xie, was currently bewildered beyond comparison by the simple praise given to him by the Cold God himself.

He had been unfortunate enough to be Wu Zhangkong's personal student for a while in preparation for today and it was hell. He learned how to use his spirit rings fairly well, to the point of blocking an attack from Tang Wulin himself even, but it was hell on earth and he had never once been praised.

"That event was mainly used to promote the worth of class zero but that was only the school's perspective. I was watching all of you closely and you all did well, especially you Xie Xie." Wu Zhangkong praised sincerely.

For the two monsters of Eastsea, it was a sight they were used to but for Xie Xie, it was like seeing the birth of a god, completely impossible. He completely believed that Wu Zhangkong was incapable of giving praise no matter the achievement!

"However, that isn't to say you did perfectly! While you two had reasons, underestimating an enemy could cost your life! And you Xie Xie, you fell for Gu Yuena's plan without a second thought!" Wu Zhangkong scolded them coldly.

'Ah, there's the teacher I remember.' Xie Xie thought to himself, a cold sweat appearing on his brow. The abrupt change was making him doubt if the first part even happened, maybe it was a figment of his imagination!

"We'll be increasing your training until the official creation of class 0! After that, your training will change drastically." Wu Zhangkong explained simply, crossing his legs as he sat making him appear to be a cold and calculated emperor.

"What are we changing it to?" Gu Yuena asked lightly, not truly caring about what it was. She trusted Wu Zhangkong and his training methods. Cruel as they may be they were undoubtedly effective, more so than any other teacher she's had whether it be Di Tian or anyone else.

"We'll be going to the Spirit Ascension Platform once a week." Wu Zhangkong explained, a small smirk of amusement on his face at Xie Xie's expression of shock. The other two didn't give a reaction as he expected but Xie Xie certainly did.

"The Spirit Ascension Platform?! How did the school get permission for that?!" Xie Xie shouted in shock. The Spirit Ascension Platform wasn't a joke, it was the lifeline of cultivators however that was for the rich or the powerful not for middle class kids like them!

The main effect of the platform was to increase the age of a person's soul rings by defeating the imitations of spirit beasts that the Spirit Pagoda had replicated in the past. It not only had an effect on a cultivator's basic power, their rings, but it also gave them much needed experience.

"We have our own ways. However, before we do any of that we'll be attending a different trial. We'll be leaving early tomorrow so prepare yourself." Wu Zhangkong explained, not telling them what they would need to prepare nor what they would be preparing for.

"Ah, before we leave I have a request." Gu Yuena began, stopping the small meeting from ending just yet. She still had another matter to attend to that required his help. As for whatever their plans were in the morning, she didn't mind even if it did mess with her plans with Wulin.

They had been relaxing a bit too much recently due to the storm that had just passed so it wouldn't be a bad thing to face whatever trial their teacher has up his sleeve to get back into the swing of things since the battle against class one was far from enough.

"What is it?" Wu Zhangkong asked, his interest palpable to his two students who understood him best. Neither of them asked for things very often and even if they did it was usually to further their training.

He liked the two of them quite a bit so he had gotten them both high end spiritual tools and because they both worked hard he gave them frequent days off to build their relationship. Maybe one day he'd see the birth of their children. What a day that would be.

"I'd like to add Mu Xi to our roster." Gu Yuena said simply, not beating around the bush in the slightest. However, there was a playful smile on her face that told Wu Zhangkong that she wanted to tease Wulin in one way or another.

"Why? She certainly has the talent but she's not in your grade." Wu Zhangkong asked, trying to figure out her intentions. He trusted her eye for talent however sometimes she was too playful so he couldn't trust her at all times.

He could think of many ways Gu Yuena would want to use this to tease Wulin since he had once been in the boy's situation but as their teacher, he had to be careful with who he added to the class. Besides, it would cause irreversible damage to Mu Xi's reputation.

She would be demoted four years, such a thing could be fatal to a cultivator's reputation and children especially didn't take such a thing lightly. If she was aware of it and accepted the inevitable consequences that would be fine but he would have to make sure beforehand.

"Wouldn't it be cruel to separate a student and their teacher?" Gu Yuena asked, her playful smile widening to the extreme. Clearly, she had gotten him to ask the question she couldn't wait to answer.

"What are you getting at?" He hurried her, not bothering to listen to her drag him around however she pleased when he could just hear the answer now. Normally she would pout slightly at this action of his but this time her reading smirk wasn't even phased.

"Mu Xi is Wulin's blacksmithing student!" Gu Yuena proclaimed proudly causing his brain to momentarily freeze.
