2 Chapter 02 - New Techniques and Beginning of Cultivation
After a long rest, Yu Haochen finally began his training near the river outside the Star Dou Great Forest.
Not having to worry about other people's eyes and having plenty of fish in the river to eat, his focus was completely taken by the techniques he inherited from his birthmark.
What Yu Haochen inherited were two cultivation techniques and three combat techniques.
The combat techniques that Yu Haochen inherited were a movement technique, a hand-to-hand fighting technique, and a spear technique.
The movement technique he received is called Shadow Steps. It could double its speed if cultivated proficiently and quadruple its speed when completely mastered.

His hand-to-hand combat technique is called Battle God Martial Arts. It is a technique that encompassed punches, palms and kicks, methods of using and withdrawing force, how to use the body with soul power as well as other uses. It could be considered an all-rounder technique but it still had the same power as specialized techniques.
Finally, his spear technique is called Yin Yang Spear Arts. It is a martial art that uses power and hardness to destroy even the hardest stone and softness and fluidity to deal with enemy attacks. There are three especially powerful moves written in the technique that caught Yu Haochen's attention.
However, Yu Haochen put aside combat techniques for the moment and turned to cultivation techniques.
After all, no matter how greedy he was to learn these techniques, with his current body it was only a dream to start training with these techniques at this point. He needed to first build a foundation and reshape his malnourished body.
Upon reading the cultivation techniques in his mind, Yu Haochen couldn't help but take a deep breath and an excited gleam flashed in his eyes.
In total, there are two cultivation techniques that seemed to have been molded especially for him.
The first is called Sun and Moon Heavenly Eyes, a pupil cultivation technique specially designed for his Spiritual Dragon Eyes.
The Sun and Moon Heavenly Eyes cultivation technique is capable of absorbing the essence of the Sun and Moon to strengthen the practitioner's vision, understanding, and mental power. The technique is divided into five stages, and with each stage the eyes would be further enhanced and abilities outside of the soul rings would be granted. The stages are, respectively:
- Essence of the Sun and Moon (1st Stage): At this level, perception, understanding and vision are improved and it is possible to see with increasing clarity. Mental Power is also greatly improved and memory begins to become more perfect. The control of mental and spiritual power is also greatly enhanced.
- Pupils of the Sun and Moon (2nd Stage): At this level the pupils begin to take on a golden and silver color. Vision is further improved and everything begins to move in slow motion, allowing the practitioner to react faster and grant the ability to perform mental attacks and see the energy flow of a living being.
- Manifestation of the Sun and Moon (3rd Stage): At this level, vision is improved to an extreme level where one is able to see the smallest details in one's field of vision and the pupils completely take on golden and silver colors. Mental Power is also improved and condensed to the point of affecting reality and memory becomes perfect, capable of remembering everything seen or heard.
- Integration of the Sun and Moon (4th Stage): At this level it is possible to understand and affect other people's thoughts through mental power and create a domain of spiritual vision within a certain range (depends on spiritual and mental power) where one can see everything in a three-dimensional view.
- Sun and Moon Heavenly Eye (5th Stage): At this level the eyes reach perfection and mental power is elevated above the realm of mortals. One can use spiritual and mental power to do anything, as long as you have sufficient spiritual and mental capacity (Ex: It is possible to place an entire plane within an illusion as long as the practitioner's mental and spiritual capacity is sufficient.).
Just this cultivation technique made Yu Haochen drool and he almost couldn't calm down. Taking a few deep breaths, Yu Haochen began to read the second cultivation technique.
The second cultivation technique was called Natural Qi Refinement. This technique was capable of absorbing nature energy to strengthen and cleanse the impurities of the body and soul, strengthen and purify the bloodline, and cultivate purer and more abundant soul power. This technique has also been divided into five stages and each stage brings tremendous improvements to those who cultivate this technique. The stages are divided into:
- Purification of Impurities: Purifies and strengthens the body, soul, soul power and lineage, leaving them ten times more pure and powerful than people at the same level. Perception of the elements is also greatly strengthened, making it easier to release and create elemental abilities.
- Body metamorphosis: Completely reforms the body, changing the bones, veins, meridians and blood, making them even more powerful and resistant, creating a perfect body for practicing martial arts. At this stage, natural talent is greatly strengthened and the practitioner gains immunity to poison, cold and heat.
- Essence Refinement: Refines the body, soul, soul power and lineage even more deeply and brings them closer to perfection. All internal organs are strengthened to the extreme at this stage and the body begins to absorb the laws to improve affinity and understanding of them.
- Crystallization of the Essence: The practitioner's body is elevated to perfection from the inside out. Attack power, defense, stamina, agility and vitality are greatly enhanced. The soul and soul power begin to have a pure crystalline shine free from any impurities and strengthened to the extreme.
- Body of Nature: At this stage the practitioner gives form to the "Body of Nature" and is able to feel and use all the elements of the natural world as desired as long as their understanding is sufficient. The understanding and perception of nature at this stage is raised to the highest possible and a soul core containing all the laws of nature is created. The Nature Soul Core will be strengthened based on understanding the laws.
Although it didn't take long to finish reading all the techniques, the excitement was palpable on Yu Haochen's face at this moment.
"These techniques are really tailor-made for me. With them I can quickly reforge my weak body and build a firm and strong foundation." Yu Haochen muttered to himself before a cold light flashed across his eyes. "My revenge will also be just around the corner."
Shaking his head, Yu Haochen calmed down and began to practice cultivation techniques. No matter how much he desires revenge, he needs to turn the opportunity he has received into strength as quickly as possible.
Making up his mind, Yu Haochen saw blazing sun in the sky and began the first cultivation of the Sun and Moon Heavenly Eyes.

Yu Haochen's previously malnourished body is being repaired with each complete circulation of the cultivation technique. Every muscle, fiber and cells in his body seemed to be screaming with joy, as if seeing rain after a great drought.
Yu Haochen indulged in this joyful feeling for an unknown amount of time, losing himself in the passage of time.

"I didn't think I would go into deep meditation when I just started with Natural Qi Refinement cultivation. If someone with bad intentions came near me it would be very dangerous." Yu Haochen breathed a sigh of relief and scolded himself for being careless.

His scarlet-red hair was brighter and silkier, his pretty face seemed more refined, his skin was whiter, and his dazzling golden eyes shone like a rare and precious jewel.

Author's Note: Sorry for the delay in posting the new chapter. I got really busy playing Ori and the Will of Wisps and ended up forgetting to post the chapter.
I hope you enjoyed the new chapter. Although the story has not progressed, it is a necessary chapter to show the beginning of Yu Haochen's cultivation.
Soon I will be advancing the story with Yu Haochen hunting for his first soul ring.
I saw some comments that I should give Tianmeng to Huo Yuhao and create a new cheat for Yu Haochen and some friends on my discord told me to give Tianmeng to Yu Haochen.
Honestly, I haven't decided what to do yet, but I already have some ideas regardless of the option.
