64 Chapter 64

Chapter 64 — Conquest King.

While It felt like an eternity had passed inside the world of nightmares for Ning Chen, only a minute had in fact passed in the real world.

Shi Nian repeatedly tried to destroy the sword wings protecting Ning Chen, but his attempts were all futile, leaving not even a scratch.

As a result, he could only stare at him with frustration and also delight.

He was extremely frustrated because he didn't managed to kill Ning Chen. And delighted because he could hear him struggling inside the shell he was hiding, screaming in agony and helplessness.

Ning Chen's scream sounded pleasant and satisfying, especially when Shi Nian had an extremely deep fury toward Ning Chen for severing his arm, leaving him with only one arm left.

Shi Nian wasn't able to used any of his other spirit rings with his seventh spirit ring activated. It was hard to control after all.

And he couldn't also affect Ning Chen inside the world of nightmares. He could only patiently wait for Ning Chen to deplete all of his spirit power and eventually be consumed by his own fears.

Shi Nian stopped attacking the sword wings and instead decided to closely examined Ning Chen using his spiritual strength.

"...!" He was then quickly shocked as he looked at Ning Chen closely with his spiritual strength.

He remembered and quickly realized Ning Chen's true identity. However, he soon started crackling an unpleasant laughter madly.

"It wasn't part of my plan to kill someone from a very famous clan, but this is your own fault for messing with me!" Shi Nian said resolutely, not feeling afraid or hesitant to kill Ning Chen.

There was still many other organisations and empires like the Spirit Hall and Star Lou Empire. If he escaped toward them, he bet they will even appreciate his accomplishment of killing someone important from the Heaven Dou Empire.

"Anyhow, it is sure a satisfying experiences, to witness another important genius meeting their end under my hand." Shi Nian smirked sadistically.

He was then curious about what kind of nightmares Ning Chen was currently experiencing.

However, he soon shook his head. There was no need for him to know. From the screams and struggles he was hearing, it was definitely a fine nightmare.

Shi Nian was thinking about his next plan, but then felt a terrifying pressure suddenly exploding from Ning Chen's location. It was formless heavy, making it hard to even breath properly.

"What the hell!?" He gasped strongly and unconsciously took a step backward, cold sweats slowly drenching his back.

The large sword wings protecting Ning Chen slowly retracted, revealing his great splendour to the entire world

Starting from his heart, a series of golden aura spread everywhere like ferocious waves, causing tiny golden particles to slowly rain around them.

Shi Nian trembled slightly, feeling afraid of the aura that Ning Chen was releasing. He wouldn't normally be affected by a mere pressure created by a rank 40. However, the pressure from Ning Chen was strange. It felt divine and exalted, wanting to dominate and conquer.

It was the authority of a true king, the power of conquest.

"All shall obey my conquest, governing and punishing everything in existence..." Ning Chen slowly whispered with his eyes closed.

He felt strange as if his heart was completely liberated, free from all shackles.

He then felt something inside his heart, wanting him to say it's divine authority and call out its power.

And so, Ning Chen called it's power out, the thing inside his heart.

"Domain Declaration..." The golden light surged violently and enveloped him completely. "Conquest Domain!"

The golden light grew extremely intense, blinding everything. It even affected Ning Chen, slowly changing his short amethyst hair into golden colour.

His facial features experienced changes, appearing more majestic and sharp. He now looked extremely heroic and noble.

The golden light soon stabilise, become a thin film of light around him. He slowly opened his eyes, revealing a pair of profound golden eyes.

It was filled with sacredness and a very sharp aura, his gaze alone being capable of stabbing the mind like a sword

Ning Chen held his sword highly above the sky, the golden film quickly gathering toward it.

"Below The King's Flag!" He exclaimed passionately, stabbing the sword into the ground, causing brilliant golden light to spread over the ground like cracks.

A majestic flag hovered above him, a crest with a dragon and sword pattern.

"A-A domain!?" Shi Nian was shocked to his core. It was hard to believe, domains were after all hard to acquire.

However, that wasn't the only thing that shocked him.

"You! How could you escape from the nightmare I created!? This is impossible!"

Ning Chen silently stared at him with his sharp eyes, clearly showing he was at his worst mood.

It was natural when considering what he experienced inside the nightmare.

"You don't need to know, especially when you're going to die right here and right now!" He sneered coldly.

"You insolent brat! I'll teach you a lesson for underestimating me." Shi Nian said furiously, a black spirit ring appearing behind him.

"Mind Needle!" An ethereal small needle appeared out from his between his eyebrows, quickly shooting at Ning Chen.

"Punishment." A golden aura covered Ning Chen's sword, quickly slashing toward the needle, causing it to be quickly destroyed.

Shi Nian was flustered after seeing how easily Ning Chen destroyed his mental attack. It was known that mental attacks were harder to deal with.

Ning Chen waved his sword around and then smiled thinly. "Although I hate you deeply, I still need to express my gratitude for you helping me complete my domain. As a thanks, I shall grant you an easy and painless death."

Shi Nian regained his composure and started laughing, still not believing he was weaker than Ning Chen.

"Grant me an easy death? Keep dreaming! With your pitiful strength, let's see who will end up dying!"

"Mind Destroying Flash!"

Shi Nian roared angrily as another black spirit ring flashed behind him. An ethereal lightning escaping from his finger and pierced toward Ning Chen.

"It's useless." Ning Chen slowly shook his head, his sword covered with golden aura splitting the lightning apart. "With my conquest domain, I alone am absolute! The Conquest King!"

Shi Nian's eyes expressed his visible disbelief. It was impossible. No matter how much mental attacks he unleashed, it's simply useless before Ning Chen...

He felt death approaching him. No! He still didn't wanted to die! He still have countless grand things waiting for him in the future...

"N-No! please! please don't kill me! I'll do anything, I'll give you all my wealth, knowledge and even become your servant! Just please don't kill me!" He quickly said anxiously and with a pale-stricken face.

Ning Chen felt his blood boiling at this sight and felt disgusted.

"How about the people you have killed before!? Didn't they also have grand things waiting for them, but you killed them without even feeling remorse! So tell me why should I spare your worthless life!?" Ning Chen asked angrily, holding his sword tightly.

"..." Shi Nian didn't replied and just went completely silent. However, he soon grinned savagely. He was just merely buying some time.

"Fool! I'll let you experience a hellish nightmare again and kill you this time!" He laughed as his spirit ring quickly activated, but nothing happened.

It was still the same before, making Shi Nian's complexion turn completely pale like a sheet of paper.

Ning Chen's lips curled upward, his eyes streaming with golden light. He was satisfied seeing Shi Nian's face which showed pure despair.

"Well, nice try, but it's just unfortunate that it failed. How was it? Your little sweet moment of hope?" Ning Chen hummed quietly.

"...." Shi Nian was still silent, desperately trying to think of a way to survive until his eyes turned bloodshot.

He couldn't win with physical power. His mental attacks not working... What should he do?

No answers were popping out.

Ning Chen held his sword tightly and his golden eyes abruptly flashed with four colour lights.

"Hmm... I can now definitely combine all of my sword stance into one..." He mumbled with his lips curling upward.

It was the perfect time to try it out since there was Shi Nian.

"Flame. Wind. Earth. Water."

Ning Chen's four spirit rings rotated behind him with an unique formation, his sword now completely filled with four colour lights.

He quickly tried to combine all of his sword stances, but then found the four colour lights and the elements conflicting with each other, showing no signs of combining.

"Conquest Aura: Obedience." Ning Chen said as golden light intertwined with the four colour lights, forcefully combining them slowly.

Ning Chen raised his sword above the sky, four coloured lights exploding and surging to form a gigantic pillar.

"Forbidden Dragon King...."

His sword grew largely, transforming into a colossal four-coloured dragon sword. It's sheer size even reaching the sky, causing many people to stare at it in amazement.

"...Gargantua Banishment!""

Ning Chen took a deep breath, his muscles being strained to their limits, as he swung his arms downward, the colossal dragon sword falling down from the heaven, threatening to annihilate everything.

It froze the space and air completely, a humangous pressure pressing down against all beings.

It was like a divine punishment that came straight from the heaven.

Shi Nian was completely frozen, not even able to move a single muscles. He stood there without even being able to utter any scream.

Only pure horror and despair were present on his face as he met his end.

BOOOM!

The gigantic sword slashed down, splitting the earth into two and destroying a large part of the forest. A dense brown smoke spread everywhere with countless animals running away in panic.

"Wow, so powerful..." Ning Chen was speechless, not imagining it to be this extremely powerful. He was worried about the damage he did, but soon felt his entire body going weak.

He was completely exhausted, mentally and physically.

His hair and eyes soon returned to their normal amethyst colour as he fell toward the ground.

Ning Chen then began thinking about his first ever domain, the conquest domain. It's abilities were all very good.

The first ability was Conquest Knight.

The second ability was called Below The King's Flag. It was an area effect skill that could enhance his allies by drawing out their hidden power and weakening their opponents.

It also could remove any abnormal conditions and control effects.

The people who were under the effect of this ability would feel their loyalty toward Ning Chen increasing. It was like a burning flame.

It could also create links between the souls and deliver thoughts like telepathy. It was called Mind Link, it can even allow Ning Chen to bypass any language barrier.

The third ability was Conquest Coat Of Arms. It could temporarily reinforced every weapons and armours.

The final ability was Conquest Aura: Punishment, Obedience and Governance.

He could use this aura to dominate and conquer.

It also allowed him to possess true immunity against mental attacks and increasing his Lucky Halo Correction.

The Lucky Halo Correction was self-explanatory.

Conquest Aura could also be used alongside King's Flag, increasing all of his elemental resistances by 50%. It was done by forcefully governing the surrounding elements.

Ning Chen was resting at the ground, but then sensed someone approaching. He smiled faintly, seeing who it was...
