45 Chapter 45
Chapter 45 — A Short Date.
Ning Chen and his group arrived inside Soutou City. After arriving, they quickly rented the best hotel to stay in for a few weeks.
Although it was the best hotel, it couldn't compare to the many expensive hotels which was built inside the capital city.
As a result, Dugu Yan and Osler complained about how mediocre this city was. They wondered why Qin Ming even said about it being more interesting here.
Ning Chen ignored their complains and just told them to quickly place their luggage inside their own rooms because they were gonna meet with Qin Ming later.
They couldn't refused his words and obediently followed what he said.
All of them soon met with Qin Ming at the cafeteria.
"Our next opponents have already been decided and it will happen in the next few days. Until then, you guys can explore around the city or prepare yourself for the battle," Qin Ming explained to them.
All of them nodded to his words and soon went to do their own separate matters.
Bai Chenxiang approached Ning Chen and whispered something to his ears.
"Hey, wanna have a short date? I heard that this place is full of delicious delicacies."
Ning Chen weirdly stared at Bai Chenxiang's appearance, "Why would I want to have a date with a cross-dressing girl?"
Bai Chenxiang pouted angrily and complained at him, "You! Why are you always so mean to me now? It's just a date to eat foods, nothing else!"

Ning Chen suddenly flicked her forehead and Bai Chenxiang quickly winced in pain, holding her forehead with both of her arms.
He then smiled slightly and placed his face near her ears.
"It's because you look cute when you get angry and we can also have that short date if you wish to," Ning Chen whispered quietly before walking away.
He had nothing to do in order to pass time and going in a date wouldn't hurt him.
"What..?" Bai Chenxiang widened her mouth with her face slowly turning red.
However, she quickly smiled widely and followed Ning Chen to have their own little date.

Ning Chen and Bai Chenxiang went toward the beautiful plaza of the Soutou City. It was one with nature and also had many shops.
The two of them had tried asking Xie Lingling to come along with them, but she preferred to stay at the hotel.
"Look! Look! There's so many shops selling foods!" Bai Chenxiang walked from shop to shop and she examined every food she came across with her sparkling eyes.
Ning Chen smiled wryly seeing her acting so energetic when it came to foods. He also recalled her liking his own cooking very much.
The two of them walked around, trying many different shop and tasting foods like dumplings, bread, and cakes.
Ning Chen also had to admit that street foods had it's own unique taste.
While they were walking around, Ning Chen noticed a shop selling various accessories and he pulled Bai Chenxiang toward it.
Bai Chenxiang couldn't escape and could only look at the many accessories with Ning Chen.
Ning Chen picked a hairpin with intricate and cool design of a light blue roc and thought it goes well with Bai Chenxiang's blonde hair.
He quickly bought it and handed it toward Bai Chenxiang.
"Wear this hairpin when you don't need to hide your true self anymore," Ning Chen said while smiling widely before looking for more accessories to purchase.
Bai Chenxiang held the hairpin tightly with her hands and felt her chest growing warm. A lovely smile formed on her face.
Ning Chen bought more accessories for his friends and sister.
A silver necklace with a golden feather for Xue Qinghe, a single white earring for Xue Beng and a green bracelet for Xie Lingling.
It was a gift for all of the people he considered as his friends.
As for his sister and himself, he bought a silver ring for his sister and a necklace with a little sword for himself.
After buying those accessories, Ning Chen and Bai Chenxiang walked around for a bit.
Ning Chen then spotted a small stall selling sausages and saw it was filled with spirit energy.
It meant that the person selling the sausages was a food type system and they were also known for their weird chants...
Ning Chen and Bai Chenxiang quickly approached the stall.
Seeing them approaching, a white-haired man smiled and welcomed them.
"Welcome, what would you like?"
"A sausage of course! Does it look like there's anything else here other than the sausages with all the same sizes?" Ning Chen said while feeling this man was a bit dumb.
The white-haired man laughed awkwardly and then felt the handsome man in front of him was quite similar to someone he knew.
"My bad. What I meant was, would you like a freshly-made sausage or not?" The man asked while pointing at the sausages placed at the table.
"Of course, we would prefer to eat something fresh," Bai Chenxiang said quickly.
It was the best to eat something fresh and new. ;)
"Hoho, okay," The white-haired man said and then placed his palm forward.
"I, your daddy, has a big sausage!"
A red and tender sausage soon condensed on the man's palm.
Bai Chenxiang was quickly horrified seeing this and felt disgusted hearing that man's nasty chant.
"Th-there's nothing I can do about this!" The man hurriedly said after seeing Bai Chenxiang's disgusted face.
Ning Chen chuckled seeing this and shook his head. Food type chants were truly weird.
He then took the sausage and decided to eat it.
"Hey! Hey! Stop—! Why are you eating that sausage shit—!?" Bai Chenxiang panicked and tried to stop Ning Chen from eating it.
However, she was too late.
Gulp!
Ning Chen ate the sausages and it soon entered his stomach, transforming into a warm energy that restored his body condition.
The taste was so-so, but the effect of the sausage was great.
The man was amazed to see Ning Chen eating his sausage without any disgust.
"Your ability is quite good, you can have my tip," Ning Chen said and gave him his money with a bit of extra.
He then turned toward Bai Chenxiang and he asked, "Are you not going to eat?"
She quickly shook her head and swore that she would never eat that sausage.
Ning Chen laughed at her reaction and they soon went back toward the hotel.
The man thanked them for buying and was grinning at the money he earned.

The next day...
Ning Chen and Bai Chenxiang went toward the Great Spirit Arena of Soutou City.
They went toward the double team office and said toward the staff, "We're the Sword Chime Combination. Is there any team here that has an unbeatable record?"
The staff searched through their document list and then turned toward them, "There is one team meeting your requirements, but I'll first ask them about it to prepare your match with them. Please wait at the lounge for a moment."
The two of them nodded and rested at the lounge. This wasn't the first time they were forced to wait.
After waiting for a while, the staff soon came toward them with a good news.
"The team has accepted your challenge. Your match with the Three Five Combination will soon start."
Ning Chen and Bai Chenxiang waited patiently after hearing those words.
He also decided to limit himself to rank 37+ with his spirit control to able to fight with Bai Chenxiang and make things fair.
If anyone were to examine him now, they wouldn't able to determine his real cultivation rank.
It felt like cheating, but Ning Chen didn't cared.
A few minutes later, their match soon started...
"Ladies and gentlemen! On the third duo match, we have the Sword Chime Combination against the Three Five Combination!" The host announced loudly toward the audience.
The audience exclaimed loudly after hearing that, especially the name of the Three Five Combination.
Ning Chen and Bai Chenxiang soon walked toward the stage.
In front of them stood two people; a boy and a girl who were close to their age.
The boy had short black hair and dark blue eyes. He looked simple, but was like a sheathed blade.
The girl was very pretty with a rosy face and had a beautiful long legs. Her brown long hair was combed into a scorpion braid hanging past her buttocks.
Ning Chen smiled faintly seeing them and felt something was different.
He felt this fight was gonna be very interesting...
The five members of the Shrek Seven Devils were currently watching from the spectators seat.
All of them were curious to see who was foolish enough to directly challenge their strongest brother and sister, Tang San and Xiao Wu.
Ning Rongrong stared at the man with a short pink hair and muscular body.
Despite wearing a mask that covered the upper part of his face, it couldn't cover his handsome and noble appearance.
A person then suddenly crossed her mind.
"Brother...?" Ning Rongrong muttered in disbelief.
Ning Chen felt someone staring at him Intently and looked toward its direction.
He then saw his sister and he merely smiled at her.
Ning Rongrong was surprised and happy to see it was truly her beloved brother!
She quickly forgot about cheering for the Three Five combination and cheered for her brother instead.
For all she knows, no one has ever defeated his brother. He was invincible.
"Brother, you can do it!" Ning Rongrong abruptly stood up from her seat and shouted loudly.
Her teammates were surprised at this, but thought she was cheering for Tang san and they cheered loudly too.
They didn't know she was actually cheering for her true brother.
"Let the battle begin!" The host announced loudly.
A powerful suppression force suddenly appeared everywhere with spirit rings rotating behind Ning Chen.
The whole place descended into silence as they stared at Ning Chen.
Ning Chen smirked while holding Kel'al. He was motivated to show-off to his sister who was watching him.
He was after all Ning Rongrong's big brother.
As her brother, he didn't wanted to let her down and instead wanted to make her feel extremely proud.
The fight soon started.
The fight between the protagonist and the anomaly of this world.
An anomaly that shouldn't existed in this world.
