Chapter 25 — Spirit Ring (3)

"You should get a rest first!" Xiao Yi firmly stared at Yu Long's eyes while speaking.

"Fine..." Yu Long could only reluctantly nod his head while sweating.

Fang Lin who was standing on the side with blank look on his face suddenly brighten up.

"I suggest to let Yu Long rest on your lap to have a proper and nice rest~!" Fang Lin smiled slyly after he said that.

He was Yu Long best friend and a friend helps his friend by giving him opportunities!

"W-What!?" Xiao Yi stuttered as she spoke aloud.

Yu Long was speechless at Fang Lin.

Then the next words that Xiao Yi said made him cough loudly.

"Okay.." Xiao Yi lowered her head shyly.

She sat on the ground and spread her laps for Yu Long.

Even though Xiao Yi thought it was immoral to do this kind of thing, she thought of all the kindness that Yu Long gave her.

This lap pillow was nothing compared to it.

"You sure..?" Yu Long asked carefully while looking at Xiao Yi red face.

It's not that he didn't like to have a lap pillow with a cute girl like Xiao Yi, but she might be forcing herself.

Xiao Yi nodded her head while trying to not look at Yu Long.

Yu Long in the end laid his head on Xiao Yi's lap.

He could only think that Xiao Yi's lap was soft and warm to feel. Yu Long could also smell the sweet flower like scent coming from her body.

Yu Long closed his eyes as he felt comfortable.

Xiao Yi's lap was much more better than the soft and comfy pillow on the academy.

Yu Long willed his Star Core to spin faster to refill his star spirit power more faster.

The star core quickly spin faster as it greedily suck in the incoming Star Qi from the surrounding.

Xiao Yi peeked toward Yu Long who had his eyes closed.

A small smile bloomed on her face.

Xiao Yi wish that their future will be peaceful and happy. Not a future filled with sufferings and pain.

Fang Lin laid on the cold ground not wanting to look at the two and just blankly stared at the sky.

"I'm lonely," Fang Lin blinked his eyes sadly.

He was inwardly burning with envy and anguish.

"Ahh! I'm so stupid! I shouldn't have told that! Now I'm suffering with these lovely duo! I should really get myself a girl!" Fang Lin closed his eyes trying to suppress his aching heart.

Many minutes had passed quickly and their resting time had finally ended.

Yu Long carefully helped Xiao Yi stand up whose legs were now sore due to Yu Long.

"Why didn't you tell me it was already sore? I could have just get up," Yu Long asked.

"It's nothing," Xiao Yi avoided his question.

Yu Long sighed deeply and then looked toward the forest, "We should find a suitable spirit ring for my spirit."

Fang Lin and Xiao Yi nodded and ventured across the forest to find Yu Long's spirit ring.

After a minutes of searching around, they found a suitable spirit plant.

A large tree monster was wandering across the forest.

The tree monster had thick branches all over it's body, and dark-green moss spreading from it's back and chest.

It had a glowing, hazy green eyes on it's head.

Yu Long narrowed his eyes seeing this tree monster. The tree monster was called as Nature Protector and looks like it was about 1,400 years old.

The tree monster was perfect for his second spirit essence.

"I'll take care of this tree monster," Yu Long stopped and smiled confidently, "You two just stay back."

Fang Lin and Xiao Yi nodded and watched Yu Long from behind.

Yu Long eyes flashed intensely as his body was swallowed by a crimson and silver light.

Yu Long transformed into his Cosmic Regulus Form.

Crack..!

"It's time to get abit rough!" Yu Long cracked his finger while smiling menacingly, revealing his sharp fangs.

Bang!

Yu Long ran toward the tree monster while leaving small craters behind everytime his foot left the ground.

The tree monster turned around slowly as it noticed a formidable presence approaching it

The spear Yu Long was holding flashed in a brilliant light as he appeared Infront of the tree monster in a flash!

Yu Long was about to pierce the tree monster with his spear, but the tree monster controlled the thick black branch around it's body to form into many blades.

Baam!

The spear and wooden blade clashed causing a loud sound to resound across the forest.

Yu Long was quite surprised to see how tough the wooden branch was.

Swoosh!

Yu Long quickly got away from the tree monster as dozens of sharp branch attacked him like snakes.

Yu Long circled his spear around his body, deflecting the incoming wooden branch near him.

Thud!

The sharp branch landed on the soil after missing Yu Long.

Yu Long felt his whole being getting stronger as a silver cloak with crimson lines formed around his neck.

His blood thickened and flowed viciously across all his body. His strong Vigor and Star Spirit Power condensed at his spear head.

Yu Long took a deep breath as he throwed the spear toward the tree monster.

Swoosh!

His iron spear shot through the air creating strong whirlwinds as if flew toward the tree monster.

Yu Long was using all his full strength this time, not worrying to accidently kill the spirit beast.

The tree monster controlled all of its branch to gather Infront if it.

Clang!

The shield made out of branchs was broken and the spear pierce the tree monster, but the spear did not managed to stab deeply as the spear also crumbled into pieces.

"Tch," Yu Long clicked his tongue in annoyance.

The spear was already showing some cracks earlier, but he didn't expect it to immediately break after using all of his power.

The tree monster grab the spear head stuck on it's body and threw it toward the ground.

Grroot!!

The tree monster charged toward Yu Long who had lose his weapon.

Many branch extended out from it's body and lunged toward Yu Long.

Swoosh!

Yu Long stood there calmly while looking at the tree monster.

His crimson claw with the crimson color reaching till his elbow making it looked like a gauntlet, was glowing fiercely.

A dazzling light gathered at Yu Long's crimson claw.

Yu Long's crimson claw pierced deep within the tree monster.

The tree monster was baffled by his sudden counter-attack.

The tree monster fell on the ground which was brimming with vitality previously was now lifeless on the ground.

A deep-purple ring appeared above it's lifeless body.

Yu Long sat cross-legged on the ground and released his second spirit essence on his palm.

The purple ring slowly floated toward his second spirit essence.

Yu Long felt no pain from absorbing the purple ring as his Cosmic Regulus suppresed it entirely.

"Ahh!" Yu Long moaned as the spirit power that was blocked by an invincible wall slowly breaking through it.

Yu Long opened his eyes and examined his current rank.

"Rank 23... Not bad," Yu Long nodded his head in satisfaction.

Two purple ring was hovering behind his back after he finished absorbing it.

Yu Long immediately knew his new ability it was called—!

Yu Long eyes suddenly turned bloodshot as he started to sweat profusely.

His vision was slowly darkening and swirling.

Roar!

A cosmic-shattering roar resounding causing the whole continent to tremble fiercely.

A large lion appeared behind Yu Long.

A single silver and crimson spirit ring appeared, replacing the two purple spirit ring behind him.

Next to the ring, another silver and crimson ring was slowly condensing.

A silver dot appeared on Yu Long's forehead as silver and crimson veins like patterns started to spread across his whole body.

The second silver and crimson spirit ring had been successfully made!

A flame was quietly burning across Yu Long's forehead.

The flame was split into two colors. The inner flame being crimson and the outer flame being silver.

A large amount of spirit qi was being sucked in toward Yu Long with his body greedily absorbing all of it.

Yu Long body was also getting stronger in a extremely fast rate as black liquid was expelled out from his boys.

Yu Long didn't knew all of that. His eyes were blank and lose its unique luster.

Yu Long mind was currently inside a unknown dark place.

He opened his eyes and saw he standing in the middle of a dark place. He looked down and saw a bright clear water filling the ground.

Yu Long looked Infront of him and quickly saw a throne made out countless bones that released a extremely terrifying aura..

The terrifying aura felt it belonged to many gods.

A person was sitting on the throne with their whole body covered in a mysterious veil of black clouds making the person gender unknown.

A ethereal voice echoed loudly throught the air.

The voice contained happiness and sorrow at the same time.

Yu Long didn't know who this King Of Stars was.

Was it him?

The ethereal voice showed some hints of terror and despair as it said that.

Yu Long vision started to go black as his mind grew heavy at every words of the ethereal voice.

Ripple!

The waters started to show some ripples as the dark world slowly turn into many fragments, slowly dissapearing into nothingness.

Those were the mysterious person final words as Yu Long saw he was back at reality again.

His head was throbbing painfully as his mental strenght was depleted.

Yu Long massaged his throbbing head as the words of the man repeated inside his mind.

He didn't know who he was talking about, but from the sound of his voice, Yu Long needed to get stronger to due some unknown reason.

Yu Long felt infuriated for that nonsense, but he then felt his star core getting excited.

He then realised his star core was slowly growing as a massive amount of spirit qi was being sucked toward him!
