The lady remained standing outside, she sighed and took a breath "I hope he does not screw up this time." crossed her arm and walked to the flower beds. Her lady-in-waiting Liza walked towards her and placed a comforting hand on Scarlett's shoulder, "he promised plus enjoy the space alone. He does need air to freshen up, your delivery was not easy-going, it was bloody hell you nearly died. He was so anxious and stressed too." Scarlett looked at her and nodded, Liza continued "do not go to speculations they will destroy your mind, marriage, and life. Give him his time, plus he seemed very excited which is good. He can clear his mind and a plus for us, fish and seafood dinner." she finished with a giggle.
"We must prepare the house for our guests." Lady Scarlett glanced and walked inside; Liza followed her clenching her arms in prayer 'please lord Rex don't return to your old habit'.
Scarlett hold her daughter dearly and whispered, "I love you and daddy loves you too. Rosie can you be a good girl and stop crying the entire time darling, daddy will be stressed and leave us.
He will go back to her and I can't bear the fact that she takes your daddy from you." she started crying, "I didn't expect you to be born inside of me, if I ever knew who he was before, I won't be remaining with this scum called Rex Shelford. But you changed the game. I really want him to change and remain faithful to us. Can you be a good girl." whipping her tears. Rose looked at her mother with a sad face, Scarlett then hugged her, "mommy is okay" she kissed her smiling at her. Rose being a couple of weeks old won't be able to interact with her mother as older children can but babies her age understand everything, she grasped her mother's finger and stared at her mother's tears and eyes. Both mother and daughter understood each other, "I love you, my angel".
The wet nurse entered, she was of the same height as the mother a bit more curved, her burgundy color tied back stylishly, "ma'am it is time for feeding her", she nodded and gave Rose to her wet nurse, "mamma Anne will be feeding you baby girl tonight, be a good girl" kissing her forehead, Anne hold her and smiled to her "Mommy Anne have a beautiful story for tonight too, wanna hear it, sweetheart?". Scarlett saw the beautiful interactions and walked out of the room and headed to the living room.
"Liz can you prepare the business documents that I want to give Mr. Whitney. I will be calling my parents on phone." Scarlett dialed her parents' house, "Hello, your noble highness, are you coming tomorrow?" she burst out laughing and so does her mother on the other side of the line, "mother can you sleep overnight here with me? I feel like I am not okay"
"no, no need for a doctor, it's that I feel emotionally drained and need my mother's love. If you can." she snuffed with her napkin, "I am waiting for you".
She closed the line then cleared her voice and wiped her tears, "I won't repeat my mistakes twice and I won't stay still either, Rex, you better stay clean or pay the price." crossing her arms and legs staring at their wedding portrait.
Liz walked in with a full suitcase, "it's heavyweight my lady." she placed it on the glass table in front of her lady. Scarlett nodded, "I will talk to Mr. Whitney myself" she then dial him, "hello Mr. Whitney, I hope you are having a good evening, I would like you to come to pick up the suitcase and finish the rest of the business." the man on the other line "of course your highness, I will send the guy to pick it up and I assure you it won't be long for the business and you will be satisfied my lady at the end."
"I am pretty sure that you will and I suppose you will need cash too, I will transfer the money as promised to your bank account. Keep in mind that if you mess up or come unfinished, you will face the consequences."
"of course ma'am. Have a good evening, goodbye"
She get startled by the phone ringing where she just hang up, "hello?" she asked.
"Hello my beautiful wife, I was calling for the last ten minutes but the line was busy." the baron giggled, she gave a romantic giggle "women stuff, you know us already dear"
"yeah sure, I do know. Well, how is our baby doing, I bet she misses me"
"Both of us miss you, be careful from the breeze it can get cold you know, stay warm. If you catch a cold it can hurt our baby, keep that in mind dear."
"yes, yes thanks my love for reminding me of it, I will be a more extra careful promise."
"Good to hear that"
"I will finish preparing the tools with John and head to sleep, see you soon queen of my heart, good night, and give my Rosie a good night kiss from daddy"
She smiled, "good night love" her smile faded, and Liza, smiled "would you like to watch something on TV?"
Scarlett smiled back at her, "yes please Liz, I need to forget this shit."
After an hour, a knock on the main door was heard, Liza walked and opened the door a handsome man middle-aged with sparkling blue eyes and light brown hair smiled and introduced himself, Scarlett gave him the suitcase, he nodded and gave good night my lady.
"My mother is late, isn't it Liz" she sat back on the sofa, "it's 8:30 pm already."
Liza suggested calling her mother just to be about calling the house, a knock was heard, Liza ran to open it, "Hello Liza darling" the Countess walked in, Scarlett ran toward her mother and both embraced with a tight hug, the countess gave her a light pat and broke the hug, "let's set down, your Aunt is on the way now."
They both sat down and Scarlett explained the situation, the aunt joined them after a while too.
Both the mother and sister gave each other the look and said, "we will take the lead in this matter, you act normally and don't stress about it"
"you gave Mr. Whitney the fake suitcase right?" asked her aunt, "fear nothing you uncles and I are going to save the matter, give me the documents I will ship them with your uncle. Our lawyers will solve the problem. You give yourself rest and focus on our baby girl."
Scarlett broke into tears and hugged her aunt.
"we will make them pay if he returns to her. In any case, we will keep her in place"
