At VEES BRAND's headquarter...

Everything was going fine, and people seem to have forgotten what had happened previously. Lillian came in

"Ma'am, your father called to book an appointment this morning, he said it is urgent"

"Wendy his secretary called me yesterday and said he wants to see me, but I don't know why. What other appointments have I got today?"

"You have an appointment with Mr Hades later this afternoon, and you have a meeting with the modelling agency as well as some VIP clients fittings"

"Ok, thanks"

"Your welcome"

She left Eva's office.

About an hour later, Lillian called on her intercom, to inform her about the arrival of Jack

"Ma'am, Mr Jack Lee is here, he says he has an appointment with you on behave of your father"

"Jack who?" Eva was confused, she doesn't think she knows this Jack Lee but anyways she would hear him out.

"Send him in" Eva continued.

Lillian was surprised to see a tall young handsome man, with a perfect hairstyle and clear skin instead of Eva's father. She had already met him once and she doesn't like him at all because he is so rude, and doesn't know the value of his beautiful daughter.

She knocked and opened the door after she heard Eva's response. She motioned for Jack to enter as she left the room and closed the door behind her.

Immediately Eva saw his face, she recognises him, she didn't know he was called Jack, but she knew his dad and her dad are so close. She remembered he has tried to talk to her on a few occasions but for some weird reasons, she always seems to be busy during the time he comes to talk to her.

"Oh it's you, hello, I'm Eva, nice to meet you" She stretched out her hand to shake him

"Hi, Jack Lee, it's my pleasure" he responded with a handshake and handed her the flowers and box of chocolate. Eva was so confused as to why he's giving her the present.

"I hope you don't mind" he continued

"Not really, how can I help you?"

"I hope you remember me from the family occasions over the years?"

"Yes I do slightly"

"I have always tried to tell you something, and I thought I was going to see you at your mom's birthday party, but you weren't there, so I contacted father saying I need to meet you"

"Yeah, well I'm a busy businesswoman, and time is money. What is it that you want to tell me?"

"I like you and I want you to be my wife" he replied confidently

Eva laughed so hard because she couldn't believe her ears. She thought to herself 'is he alright? is he ok in the head? who comes into someone's office to propose to them like that especially without knowing them'

"You must be joking right? Do you know you are so funny" Eva couldn't contain her laughter, she has seen it all, but this, is definitely new for her?

"No, I'm dead serious" Jack wasn't smiling at all, and he was confused as to why she was laughing, what did he say that was so funny, he doesn't get this woman but he loves her smile and the way she laughs.

"Did my parent send you to me?" Eva's face changed

"No, they didn't, I choose to come here myself"

"So is that why you bought chocolate and flowers hoping you would propose and I would gladly accept? Well bro you are very mistaken, try again later"

"Well its an order, you will become my wife," Jack said with an authoritative voice

Eva was a bit shocked and she thought 'are you kidding me, who in the world is this freak'

"What did you say your job is again?" Eva asked knowing she hasn't asked him before.

"I'm the Major General of the armed forces," he said proudly

"Ooooohhh... no wonder, you think you can come in here and order me to be your wife, bruh, I ain't in the army or military, even if I was, I wouldn't because you are just not my type of man, and I am not an object or an animal you can order. So my advice for you is to try it on someone else, not me" she replied

"You will be my wife whether you like it or not," he said firmly

Eva was getting frustrated, it seems he didn't understand anything she was saying.

"Ok, I think this is the end of your appointment, I have other things to attend to"

"No worries, I will go for now and come back later. Oh, by the way, be ready on Saturday, I will come and pick you up for a dinner date. 7pm" he replied as he stood up.

"Are you ok? Are you sure you are not mentally challenged?" Eva was getting angry

"How dare you talk to me like that? what I have said is final, of you are not ready, I will drag you out of your house if I have to"

As he was about to open the door,

"Oh I think you are forgetting something" Eva shouted angrily.

He turned back to see what he forgot, and Eva pointed at his flowers and chocolate, but he didn't responded.

As he opened the door, he was met by an equally tall man that he recognises anywhere

"Andrew Thompson" he scourged.

Addy was so shocked to see Major General Jack Lee here, he wanted to surprise Eva because he couldn't wait anymore to see her, so he decided to leave the office after the morning meeting, but to his surprise, as he was about to knock, the door opened and it was this bastard standing in front of him.

"Jack Lee" with his straight face

Jack is looking for every means to bring Addy down because he knows Addy is involved with the underworld of the country, but he wasn't able to catch him.

They both nodded and gave each other space to pass.
