I roamed at a slower pace, but this damn water beneath my feet making it harder and harder to walk unnoticed, I suddenly heard a noise behind me like someone was walking behind me.

when I turn back putting up my dagger in that direction... Maggie raised her hands in surrender but didn't say any word, after seeing her I quickly lowered my Dagger

" Why are you following me?"

" Because I want to...and besides that Are you mad at me?" she asked looking deep into my eyes like she was trying to figure out what I am thinking

" no" I began walking again, she followed me.

I noticed two Rats entering from another tunnel to us because of the noise that we made by our footsteps in the water. Maggy instantly create an ice ball in her palm but I let out while gripping my white dagger " they are mine "

when they came close I noticed that their size was around 3 feet tall with red glowing eyes and two teeth coming out of their mouths while water dripping from their mouth continuously

I waited until they came in my attack range and when one of the Rat dashed towards me I simply sidestepped making his attack useless, after he missed his attack I jabbed in his skull and pushed forward slicing his back...

Rat dropped on the watery ground with a splash, my right hand-coated with his blood but without stopping I takeoff myself at another one and killed him in one strike...

they were weak compared to spiders or ants but at least they were giving an exp like ants... I averted my gaze at Maggy

I saw her disgusted expression after looking at the blood on the water was rare, the fact that she was a hero and after seeing a big amount of blood she felt uncomfortable...wow..however she was trying to hide her emotions at best with a weak smile...

As we move through the tunnel to tunnel I killed lots of rats and then a message appears on my head

Maggy was following Don around whenever he goes she followed behind without a word.

she was amazed by Don's performance until now he killed more than 5 rats alone but it was not what she admired the most... she wanted to help him but he refused to take help from her even he got injured on his arm.. she can see a big scratch on his right hand and blood were dripping from his wounds but he was still fighting without caring about his injured arm

He was killing Big rats using only a small dagger with his Footwork and perfect timing but again he had stopped abruptly looking at the rat, silently

She wanted to say something as she looking at his poker face and then at his injured hand but suddenly his hand healed in an instant, causing Maggy to steps back in fear.. she couldn't able to understand what was just happened, a few seconds ago she was able to see a wound but now only blood... before she recovers from that shock suddenly Dons facial expressions changed and he started kicking a corpse of a rat.

she cannot figure out what's going on with him.. she wanted to stop him but her mind was telling her not to interfere, he stooped again and a faint smile appeared on his face...

Maggy was shocked again as she thought... this guy. A few seconds ago he was burning with rage and now he was smiling... what the hell is going on. ... besides that how could his wounds healed quickly. Even a healer's Magic takes time to heals someone's wounds.

Maggy pulled Don's hand towards her face to confirm that his hands were truly healed or she was just imagining things but after observation, she noticed that his hand was completely fine without any trace of injuries...

A bunch of questions commenced into Maggy's mind like how can this be? , is he hiding his powers? , and if he is then why?

she about to ask Don but...

" Don't ask me anything and most important thing is to stay away from me or else "

" Or what? " Maggy steps towards Don in confidence but her confidence didn't come from her ice ability instead she was believing that no matter what Don was not an Evil guy or at least he won't hurt her

Their eyes locked with each other for a while but Don stepped back and strolled away, Maggy smiled softly as she saw Don walking away she again started following him but this time she started talking with him even after Don didn't show any interest...

Group of people was fighting with the mischief of rats but in the Group of humans there were two separate groups created, one has a people more than 10 and other one have more than 4

" Stay back. I will take care of them " James came forward stepping in front of a girl and Used his fireballs against two rats, two different fireballs hit perfectly on the two rats as they started screaming in pain even after they tried to roll over their bodies in small water it was not enough to cause a flame on their bodies extinguish quickly, therefore, they burned alive...

James was doing his best to protect all of the F-ranked heroes even after Wendy and her E-ranked heroes were didn't bothering to help them.

unlike Maggy, wendy chose to stay behind the group of E ranked heroes for her safety and was attacking rats when they came into her attack range, Wendy was still has a lot of mana for her further use but James was hardly able to produce flames, he was exhausted, fortunately, they killed all of the Rats that attacked them.

James bent down and puts his hands in knees while breathing deeply

" Are you ok? " the girl put a hand on James back as she asked looking at him, other F ranked heroes were also looking at James because they have survived thanks to James

" yeah.. just need a break " James smiled at the girl that he saved a few moments ago

" puff.. what a bunch losers, are you guys have a no shame...constantly depend upon on one guy " wendy lets out sarcastically As she came close to James with other E ranked heroes

James quickly glares at her and others. lots of E-ranked heroes were badly injured but somehow they were managing to walk beside others, other hand Wendy was in Good shape without any scratch on her body and smiling while staring at the other F-ranked heroes...

" at least they believed in me " James smirks and turns away from her and looks at other F-ranked heroes. " Thanks, guys for everything.. and sorry for making a poor decision like staying with these idiots "

Wendy instantly snapped back at James

" What did you said. We helped you to survive this long and you ungrateful-"

" There are no we wendy, only those E ranked heroes, you were just hiding behind their back...you are not a leader you are a coward... " James responded in an angry tone, On James face hatred visible to everyone as if he didn't like even a bit of Wendy's leadership, They could sense that at any moment he was going to leave the group

Wendy chuckled after hearing James point of view on her leadership and at the same time she takes a glance back at other E ranked heroes, they were also agreeing with James at some point " You are telling me about leadership but as we can see my group have all the heroes but you already lost one guy "

Wendy tries to cover up things so Other E-ranked heroes don't leave her side but still some of the E-ranked heroes looking at her in the skeptical gaze.

James glances at others completely ignoring Wendy and said to convince the others "there is hope for us if we fight together, but if you still want to follow her then go ahead"

everyone looks at each other as if they don't know what to do if they were to leave wendys side and joins other F ranked heroes then what.. could they able to stay alive with a weakling like them, even if James were saying he will protect them but still that was not enough cause he can't able to protect everyone. but another side if they choose Wendy's side then maybe they have a number and besides that powerful people like E ranked heroes.

After waiting for a while James steps back as if he decided to leave but he was taking his time to see if anyone wants to join his team, nobody made any move and that made wendy a lot happier " you get your answer, now fuck off "

James turns back at other F-ranked heroes for support as he meets the gazes they all looked at him with a smile like they are with him whatever he chooses to leave or not.

James instantly left Wendy and the other 11 E-ranked heroes on that place with his 4 F-ranked heroes in hope of finding a better chance to survive in this dungeon...
