4 The Feeling of Deja Vu

"Where the hell did the Author write me in this time." said Apollo while assessing his surroundings. The ceiling was filled with stalagmites and glowing crystals that dimly illuminated the surroundings below. He inferred that he was in a cavernous setting.

"What am I supposed to do here?" complained Apollo as he aimlessly wondered through the cavern.

Tahk. Tahk. Tahk.

His footsteps echoed throughout the cave as he walked in random directions. "Can something happen already, I'm bored."

EEEEEEEEEEEK!

As if on cue a shriek was heard echoing through the cave alerting Apollo. He instantly located where the sound was coming from and started to make his way through the labyrinth like cave.

Grrrrrrrrrrr....

As Apollo reached his destination a menacing growl greeted him. He saw three dog like monsters that surrounded a human curled up in a ball. The monsters were the size of a grizzly bear and had no eyes. Its saliva was glowing green and as it dropped on the floor, the floor partially melted. "This is why you don't eat uranium kids. Yikes."

Apollo looked at the curled up human and wondered why this scene looked familiar. He ignored the thought and decided to enter the scene.

The monsters' attention were fixated on the human and they didn't notice Apollo sneaking up behind them. Apollo rummaged through his pocket and brought out a marble.

"I choose you!" he shouted before throwing the marble at one of the monsters.

VWOOOOOOSH

The marble cleanly pierced through the head of the monster located in the middle of the group. Its body shortly went limp after getting hit. The marble was nowhere to be seen as it kept travelling due to the force of the throw.

The remaining two monsters quickly looked behind them and saw Apollo whistling while holding his hands behind his back.

"Hey, I also didn't expect that to happen." said Apollo feigning innocence.

The two monsters quickly pounced on Apollo, "That's not a good idea, you guys should have read my prologue."

Apollo stood still, unmoving. The two monsters who were in the middle of the air crashed towards Apollo. Apollo casually dodged the assault and let out a sigh. The heads of the monsters were instantly severed, it was impossible to see what happened in that moment.

"Where the hell did my marble go?" asked Apollo looking at the hole that the marble left as it kept penetrating through the cavern wall. He scratched his head and wondered how he can get it out.

"T-they're gone?" the victim spoke as she slowly stood up from her position. She wondered who saved her from death once more. She looked behind her and there she saw a masked man staring into a small hole while rubbing his chin.

"A-Apollo?!" she shouted.

Apollo jumped in his place, he was in deep thought so he got spooked by the random name call, "Y-yes?" answered Apollo casually.

"Its me! do you remember me?" she said excitedly pointing at herself.

"J-Jessica....?" said Apollo uncertainly.

"Its Lyra!" she shouted crossing her arms.

"Ohhhhhhhh, you. Ah, yes. Lyra. The girl I met in the train station" said Apollo while slowly nodding his head.

"Dummy! You saved me from a gang of men remember!" shouted Lyra tears were on the edges of her eyes, "How could you forget about me! I even travelled the world for you!"

"Oh, the woman from the prologue!" exclaimed Apollo as he realizes who the woman really was.

"Yes! that's me!" shouted Lyra her eyes widened in relief.

"Wait, you understand what I said?" wondered Apollo, 'Sheesh, another one?'

"For some reason after you disappeared, my entire world went pitch black and I suddenly woke up in this cave, with information that we're in your novel." said Lyra with a straight face.

"The damned author kidnapped you from your timeline and placed you here?!" exclaimed Apollo while looking at the cavern ceiling.

"I guess so." said Lyra looking at Apollo with eyes of admiration, "It looks like I've gained a role in your novel." she added wanting Apollo to look back at her.

Apollo quickly looked at Lyra and asked, "What is it?"

"Deuteragonist." said Lyra with pride.

"Oh wow, one step away from being a side character. Congrats." said Apollo while applauding.

"Anyways, I woke up here with another person and I want to find her." said Lyra worried about the unknown person she was with, "When we were attacked by those monsters I used myself as the diversion so she could get away."

"How, heroic of you." complimented Apollo quickly turning his back and placing his hand on the hole that the marble passed through, "Hey, do you know what a good name is for a pet marble?" asked Apollo as the marble magically appeared in his hand.

"No, maybe the readers can give you one?" said Lyra looking at the cavern ceiling.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEKK!!

Apollo stood still locating where the sound came from. He tightened the grip on the marble in his hand.

Lyra looked at Apollo as he stood still thinking of what he was doing. She guessed that he was trying to find where the shriek came from.

A few minutes have passed and Apollo was still standing still, unmoving.

"Hey, uh, aren't we supposed to help the person?" asked Lyra nervous of what has happened to the woman.

"I was waiting for you to say that line so the story can progress, took you long enough." scolded Apollo, he raised his hand carrying the marble and threw as hard as he could in the direction of the shriek.

VWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Like a bullet escaping the barrel, the marble shot through the stone cave wall like it was butter.

Apollo stood still for a second, sensing what happened on the other side. He sighed and placed his hands on his waist and looked at Lyra gesturing her to speak.

"What happened....?" asked Lyra clueless.

"I missed." sighed Apollo, "No matter how strong I am , I can't beat the progress of the story line." mumbled Apollo grabbing the waist of Lyra and pulling her by his side.

Zwoooop.

The two instantly teleported to the scene and there he saw a woman sprawled on the ground surrounded by men. One of the men was adorned in gold and looked to be the leader of the group.

"Hey doesn't this scene look familiar?" mumbled Apollo to himself.

The group instantly noticed the two trespassers and became vigilant of them. The man adorned in gold looked at them and shouted "Identify yourself!"

"Me?" asked Apollo while pointing himself. 'This really does look familiar.'

"Of course you dumbass, how dare you interrupt our business! Don't you know who I am?" snarled the man adorned in gold.

"Yeah, this scene is a carbon copy of the prologue. Yadda Yadda Yadda, I'll kill you guys to save the girl." said Apollo annoyed.

"Kill him!" shouted the man.

A group of 8 men instantly rushed towards Apollo and assaulted him at the same time. They all wielded various melee weapons which posed a threat to anyone who tried to fight them. "Well, not to me."

Apollo raised his hand and slowly lowered it. The men that rushed towards him suddenly felt their bodies became heavier and soon after were unable to move, barely being able to stand up.

"I'm not in the mood to see blood this chapter." yawned Apollo.

"What the hell are you saying!" the man adorned in gold pulled out a knife from his pocket and pointed it at the unconscious woman on the floor, "One wrong move and I'll kill her!"

BANG! THUD!

A bullet flew towards the man's forehead and his body fell backwards. "This isn't even Deja vu, this is Prologue Part 2."

"I thought you weren't in the mood to see blood this chapter?!" exclaimed Lyra she wasn't expecting Apollo to kill the person due to him just incapacitating the underlings.

"Don't worry I shot him with the non lethal side of the bullet." assured Apollo as he slowly walked forward towards the unconscious woman.

"WHAT SIDE OF A BULLET IS NON LETHAL?!" shouted Lyra in frustration of Apollo's reasoning.

Apollo looked back at Lyra and shrugged casually. "Dunno." he squatted down near the body of the woman and his eyes behind the mask widened. A gasp escaped from his mouth and his body trembled as he saw the face of the woman.

"You know her?" asked Lyra curious of Apollo's reaction.

"No, I've never seen this woman in my entire life. I just thought it would be a good idea if I faked a reaction to confuse the readers." chuckled Apollo.

Lyra approached Apollo and stood by his side and she got a glimpse of what the woman looked like. Her eyes widened and a gasp escaped her lips.

"What do you mean you've never seen this woman!? This woman looks just like—" Lyra was interrupted as Apollo quickly stood up and covered her mouth with his hand.

"Say that next chapter." smiled Apollo as Lyra slowly nodded her head.
