[3] priestess isn't bad, its terrible

Rianon's character, The Empress, still dumbfounded, heard a sound of a trumpet. She then realized that she's standing in front the castle.

"Greetings, Guardians!" says the NPC who just came. He have a white name above his head, while the others are green. This must be how they could distinguish the NPC from players.

He continue to speak. "I, Duke Lancaster is here to thank everyone for participating in the war, becoming the Guardians of Merdin. The sudden appearance of monsters have made the world tremble, but all of you, courageous people have stood up to fight. From mages, to fighters, to archers and rogues, even the priestesses are here to aid us."

Rianon's goal of playing is to dominate, yet here she was, tasked to aide other people. She still feels small even in the game. When would luck turn her way?

Since she was lost in thought, she no longer heard the words Duke Lancaster have said. She just saw a system notification in front of her, informing that a quest have been activated.

[MAIN QUEST: BLESSINGS OF A PRIESTESS]

Priestess! Go to the border and use your skill, "Blessing" to heal 20 players. Hurry! Their life is in your hands.

It sounds kind, but Rianon is not a kind person. Her insecurities made her bitter, slightly wicked, always wanting to become on top even if it meant harming others.

While waiting for players to lose their HP, she took her time reading the instructions of how her skills would work. As of now, she have three skills that does not really worth anything.

Immortality (Passive)

Once your HP dropped to 10% the regeneration would speed up by 200% (5 minutes cool down)

She did not saw it in the forum but still, she felt that it doesn't really mean anything. So what if she could not easily die? She doesn't have any offensive skills that could damage others? She would eventually be killed.

Blessing (Lvl 1) : Recover an ally's health by 20% while clearing the debuffs. (2 minutes cool down)

How selfless are these priestesses? Giving their life to help, without receiving any honour.

Countermagic (Lvl 1) : When damaged by magic, the enemy would receive 10% of the damage dealt. (2 minutes cool down)

Slightly offensive, but she would surely be killed first before killing the enemy.

She sighed. She must've wasted almost $55,000 for a game she wouldn't enjoy. She's afraid that the game won't be famous anymore once the next server opened.

The quest was not that hard, players actually come for her so she could heal them. Turns out, other magic related classes don't have healing spells until they leveled up, and they could only count on her.

Being needed felt nice. It actually warm her heart. But she knew that this is only for now, once they leveled up, they won't need her anymore.

Rianon's would always turn out like this. Being needed at the start, then trashed at the end. It makes her sick.
