Chapter 4

As the final school bell rang,I was standing there with Elena admist the crowd as I find Liam in this crowd,but its not hard to find him, owning the only pair of green eyes this school now.

"See Mr.Chapman is not bad!He let you off of detention!All you had to do is come up with a good excuse!" Elena claimed.

"That doesn't mean he was right to EMBARASS me in front of everyone like that!" I exclaimed.

"Well forget that,now you don't have detention and you can go on that date." Elena giggled and playfully elbowed my arm.

"Yeah but I do have extra homework to do...and it's not a date,we're just hanging out ,trying to get to know each other." I blushed.

"Well...isn't that a date then?That's what they do in dates! You've never been in one so you probably don't know." Elena laughed.

"Oh shut up!" I exclaimed while I playfully punched her arm.

And there ,I saw him standing with a story book in his hands,his eyes look away from his book and search around until he found my eyes.My legs became weak.

"Alicia!" Liam gestured me to come .

I feel that tingly feeling starting all over again,I look up at Elena,

"Go have fun!!But remember to be home soon, on one hand your mum will be pissed, on the other ,you know Verity is not the safe haven as they always call it.Gore has been prevalent." Elena whispered.

"Elena,I'm not a child, I know how to take care of myself.Also my mum only comes home at around 8 p.m,if i don't call you by 6:30 p.m,remember to call me."I rolled my eyes at her.Looks like I have two mothers now.

"Go he's waiting for you,don't have too much fun!" She winked at me.

I roll my eyes at her and then timidly walk towards Liam,he was staring at me for so long but suddenly his eyes darted away and his smile turned dull.Is he shy?Or is there something wrong?

"So?How was school today?You're awfully quiet." Liam asked as we walked

"Well it's a long story and um ,I'm not much of a talker."

"Well don't tell me I need to teach you how to talk too."He sneered.

"What are you doing in my school?Are you an exchange student?" I know he probably isn't an exchange student but I don't know why I asked that.

He raised his eyebrows at me, "Do I look like an exchange student to you?I'm here to study."

"I mean why study here,which school were you studying in before?"

"You ask a lot of questions." He mumbled as he furrowed his eyebrows.

"Sorry didn't know you mind,you just look different from here thats all."

I looked up at him,no reply.No intention to reply.Why doesn't he want to tell his background?

"How do I look different?" He asked.

Thank god he broke the silence,I was almost going to ask what colour he likes,such a stupid question to ask a guy.

"You just look different." I looked up at him,

"I've seen green eyes before,outside of our school of course,but your eyes are also glowing like an incandescent bulb."

His eyes locked on mine for a while,but he lookes away smiling.

But I can't look away,he is mesmerising.His Shirt pulled tight onto his body,revealing his sculpted figure.He rolls up his sleeves,his forearms streaked with veins that sat comfortably on his bloodless skin raises up to stroke his dark hair away from his eyes ,such a sharp jawline.Then he looked at me dead in the eye.

"You're staring at me again."He said and I look away blushing.

He suddenly took my chin by his fingers gently and lifted my face up to face his.My heart raced

"No don't look away,I like it when you look at me." He smiled.

"Here to the corner is the park,come I want to show you something." He grabbed my hand and leads the way,for what seems like its not even near to school.We snaked through busy streets then quiet streets till finally we arrive at the park,uttermost silence I've ever felt in any place I've been to.Eerie but at the same time peaceful.

"What is it you want to show me here?" I asked.

"The silence,the peace,place I'm from it's never this way."He answered.

So he is not from here,Thought so.

"Where are you from?"I further questioned him.

"Come let's go to the very top if the playground there."

Alright no answer again.But I followed him to the very top of the playground.Quite large for a children's playground, I wonder why he brought me here and why wasn't he answering me whenever I ask about him,I just want tovget to know him.

THUMP,THUMP ,CRASH!

"Woahhh there careful with the steps,here let me help you." He is maked his way down the play rocks made for rock climbing and then pulls me up fall onto his broad chest ,I pull away immediately

"Sorry I skipped a step."I blushed and make my way up again while he was right behind me.

Finally we were at the top and I still don't see what's so special.

"So you know what else is very special here,look up " He said.

I looked up and sawthe orange serene sky, with sunlight seeming through fluffy clouds .Sky isn't this clear back at the city,are we still in the city?

"Woah,it's beautiful."I said.

"Really is huh?I always come here ,almost everyday."

He laid his back on the black platform and faced the sky.

"Come lay next to me.Let's watch the sunset together."He said.

"I'll just sit."

"Oh come on don't be a buzzkill!" he said and took me by the shoulder and pulls my back down hard."

"OW!THAT HURT!"

He still hasn't let go of my shoulders,he gawked at me as his grip on my shoulder tightened.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Sorry I,I don't know what's wrong with me." He pulled away.

We laid against our back and look at the sky in silence,I've never felt this comfortable with someone in silence,not even with my own mother.

Liam suddenly moved sideways and faced me,took his finger and ran it against my neck,his nail pressing forcefully against my skin.Is this his way of being..romantic?

"Your nails are sharp." I say

"I know,I like it sharp.They help me in many ways." He smirked.

"Helps you with what?You're not some wild animal that needs to use sharp nails to cut through meat,we have knives." I laughed ,attempting to ease the pressure in the air.

His nails dug deeper into my skin,

sending sharp pain.

"W-what are y-you doing?" I winced.

His eyes became red around the edges,I could see his muscles tensing.His face came towards me,until it's only an inch away from mine.

"You should go." He whispered
