Reminding Them Of The Past

"Mu Chuqing, what do you mean by this?"

CEO Wang's face had grown increasingly unhappy, so Chang Chu couldn't help but speak up, her tone obviously hostile.

"Hey… Hey… What are you yelling about? Do you know something called etiquette!"

Chang Chu's head popped up behind Mu Chuqing, causing Mu Chuqing to view Chang Chu with a mocking expression.

Mu Chuqing continued speaking, "CEO Wang, don't overthink it. I just wanted to remind you that recently many tenders have been much associated with corruptive practices and even involving underhanded operation. I'm just afraid that you might get accidentally involved in this, resulting in undesirable consequences. Regardless, I look forward to working with you in the future. "Ms. Chang and my meeting is just a coincidence, our companies have worked before…"

As he said this, sweat had already broken out on CEO Wang's forehead, his face looking pale.

"I have something on, so I shall leave now!" said CEO Wang awkwardly as he continued to sweat profusely, and found an excuse to exit desperately.

Mu Chuqing's lip curled up in a sneer before she turned to Su Yuan and said, "Su Yuan, since we're here already, why don't we have our lunch here!"

Su Yuan ran towards the lift, bumping Chang Chu on her shoulder as she passed by her.

Chang Chu gritted her teeth and glanced at the entrance. At last, she turned to glare at the duo who were already in the elevator and stomped towards them in agitation.

Seeing this, Su Yuan pressed the 'close' button hurriedly. In the end, Chang Chu hurried her steps, but she did not manage to catch up with the elevator.

Seeing the satisfied face of Su Yuan, Chang Chu shook in anger.

Mu Chuqing and Su Yuan had just found seats and settled down when the crisp sound of heels clicking against the ground rang out, followed by a burst of strong perfume invading their noses.

Chang Chu stood behind the duo, gritting her teeth and coldly looking at Mu Chuqing.

"Mu Chuqing, what did you mean that just now?"

She refused to see that annoying face and did not want to have any ties with her. She would walk through this path she had chosen.

And so she just totally dismissed Chang Chu's presence.

"Waiter!" Mu Chuqing waved to the waiter who had just walked past.

The waiter reached their table and smiled. "Customer, do you want to order anything?"

"Yes!"

Mu Chuqing nodded her head as she took the menu from the waiter.

Facing the utter disregard, the infuriated Chang Chu reached out to snatch the menu Mu Chuqing was holding.

Mu Chuqing did not expect such an act from Chang Chu. At that moment, the sharp-edged corner of the menu cut across her palm, causing blood to ooze out.

"Miss!" exclaimed the waiter in shock, not knowing what to do.

Upon seeing this, Chang Chu gave a relieved smile as she had released a bit of her anger. She randomly threw the menu on the table, crossed her arms in front of her chest, and looked down at Mu Chuqing, her beautiful face looking smug.

"Mu Chuqing, tell me, I really don't know what to say to you anymore. In front of me, you're forever so tragic and pitiful. Looks like three years ago, I've wasted quite a lot of energy for nothing. Having a miscarriage really isn't easy, but thankfully, the child in your belly is gone too…"
