It's All My Fault!

The time was not right, it was already noon by the time Mu Chuqing reached the KFC where Su Yuan was.

The shop was packed with customers, and there were almost no seats.

Su Yuan was enthusiastically devouring her food when Mu Chuqing spotted her. Lawyer Zhang was sitting opposite Su Yuan with a glass of coke in his hand.

"Yuan Yuan!"

"Chuqing, please sit! I've saved a seat for you!"

Mu Chuqing stared at her sullenly from the corner of her eyes. Seeing Su Yuan like this, Mu Chuqing finally gave a sigh of relief.

"Mu Chuqing, can you allow me to have a peaceful meal!" Su Yuan patted Mu Chuqing's shoulders and glared at her.

"Okay, I will stop speaking. But what kind of meal is this; I'll treat you to a nice delicious one!"

"Really!" Su Yuan's eyes brightened up immediately.

Mu Chuqing's phone suddenly rang, and the caller ID displayed Gu Yian.

"Hello, Yian!"

Su Yuan immediately went to Mu Chuqing's side and eavesdropped.

"Chuqing, have you knocked off your work? I want to invite you to lunch!"

"Yes, I'm not at my workplace. But Su Yuan…"

Before she finished speaking, Mu Chuqing's mouth was suddenly stuffed with a hamburger, and Su Yuan quickly waved her hand and gestured, encouraging Mu Chuqing to go for it. "Go ahead!"

Mu Chuqing frowned, not understanding why.

Su Yuan gave her expression as if she were looking at a fool before snatching the phone from Mu Chuqing.

"Senior Yian, I wanted to go shopping with Chuqing, but I decided against it since the weather is so hot. You can come to the company to pick Mu Chuqing!"

After finishing her part, Su Yuan immediately hung up without handing the phone over to Mu Chuqing.

Lawyer Zhang parted ways with Mu Chuqing and Su Yuan at KFC before Mu Chuqing drove over with Su Yuan to Li Corporation. She saw Gu Yian leaning against his black Maybach in front of the building.

With his slender body dressed in a white suit and Gu Yian's clean and fair face, the gentleness exuding from the man was greatly amplified. He had already attracted the attention of surrounding women, whose faces were tinged red by now. Yet, he somehow seemed to be ignorant of this.

Su Yuan nudged at Mu Chuqing's shoulder, as she teased, "Look, a real-life prince charming! Given his looks, status, and character, what about burning the incense in your last life, I would believe even if you told me you were a god in your last life!"

"Stop teasing me!" Mu Chuqing glared at her before alighting from her car.

Seeing the duo, Gu Yian smiled and walked over.

"Chuqing, Su Yuan."

"Hello, Senior Yian, you guys go ahead and chat. I'm going up first!" Su Yuan again slightly nudged Mu Chuqing's shoulder before giving her a thoughtful gaze.

"Stop teasing me!"

Su Yuan ran off.

Mu Chuqing smiled as she stared at the back of the running figure. Turning to Gu Yian, she smiled and shrugged with a resigned look.

"Let's go!" Gu Yian smiled as he turned and walked over to open the door of the passenger seat for Mu Chuqing.

Gu Yian brought Mu Chuqing to eat noodles at a Chinese restaurant with an intricate and warm interior design. After that, they moved to the cafeteria next door.

"I heard that you participated in the tender for the mirage?"

Gu Yian took a sip of his coffee before looking up at Mu Chuqing as he spoke.

"Yes, that land is indeed a good place. If I can get it, it'll make a good selling point for a seaside resort or hotel!"

Gu Yian nodded his head, but his brows were slightly furrowed as he spoke, "That's indeed a good place. Many corporations in City Fu had been targeting it for many years. However, the landowner had refused to open it up for bidding and has never hinted any intention to do so. I just hope that this sudden decision to sell it does not involve other implications!"
