He was one of the Crimson Project, codenamed Greed, compared to Wrath, where the emotion overwhelmed her mind from rationality. 

Excessive Greed still allowed him to think rationally. But it made his goal easy to guess. 

He had come here, feeling the power of the witch coming from Fiona, and wanted to devour her ability.
