Chapter 16 - Sword Domain [1]

"Sword Domain."

"Tsumibito no hakai."

Lax's words sounded throughout the dark world, sending shivers down the sea monster's spine.

They could sense something was about to happen when they heard those words, and they knew...

...their deaths were inevitable.

Countless swords descended from the sky, each pointing in the direction of the sea monsters and...

"ARGHHH!"

A sword struck and pierced one of the sea monsters, and more swords continued to pierce the sea monster's body until he died looking like a porcupine.

Then the same thing happened to all of them: swords rained down from the sky, and when they saw this, some accepted their deaths while standing still, others fled for their lives, and others defended themselves.

But their efforts were pointless; after all, all they were doing was delaying their deaths.

As if the swords falling from the sky weren't enough, the domain gathered energy from the environment and infused it with swords.

Lax, on the other hand, was watching all of this with a satisfied smile on his face.

"This is amazing! I know I didn't have to say those words, but I thought it would be much cooler if I did, right?"

When the last sea monster died, the sword rained down as they vanished a few minutes later.

Lax fainted for an instant after the domain vanished, but he quickly regained consciousness because he expended too much energy activating the domain.

"Although the sword domain can gather energy from its surroundings for use, it still depends on my energy to make it stronger or weaker and how long it will last," Lax said as he walked away from the area and towards the forest.

And as for the remaining soldiers seeing the Leviathan's headless body, they cheered and then chased the sea monsters that weren't in range from Lax's domain.

At the moment, Lax was happily running through the giant forest because he had made some huge gains during the trip on the first floor.

First, he managed to gain information about another world, second, he was able to rank up to rank 3 and obtain the sword domain from the system, and finally, he was happy that he will be able to see Nia again.

Lax smiled when he thought about Nia, and a few minutes later he arrived at the middle of the two opposite lands again, where he found the space crack from when he entered.

He jumped, but this time he didn't hit a wall.

"I'm finally back!" He exclaimed.

Then a few moments later, Raymond arrived on the scene.

"Welcome back, master Lax, please follow me." He said that, and he guided Lax to his room.

As Lax arrived at his room, Raymond left and went to prepare food for him, and after Raymond left, Lax took a bath.

Half an hour later, Lax finished his bath and wore the clothes he used before he went inside the temple, then he looked at himself in the mirror.

"I think I look like some handsome blind swordsman when I have my blindfold on." He said as he posed in front of the mirror as if he were holding a sword.

After looking at himself in the mirror using [Domain Sense] he went out of his room.

He then went to the hall where he first met the three gods, and he was greeted with a hug as soon as he arrived.

Nia hugged Lax as soon as she saw him. She missed him after not meeting for a long time, so she was very happy when she saw Lax again.

"Lax! I just finished my training, and now I'm able to control this orb of lightning that the goddess gave to me!" She said as she took out a crystal ball with lightning flickering inside it.

Lax was surprised to see that because it was the same as the one he used to kill the Leviathan.

"So the ball of lightning I bought from the system, did it originate from the goddess? If so, then it seems the system is really overpowered as it can sell something like that." He thought then he contemplated whether the ball of lightning Nia has will be able to be as strong as the one he used.

"Can I take a look at it, Nia?" He asked.

"Of course!" Nia replied happily as she handed Lax the lightning orb.

Lax then used his appraisal on the lightning orb, and he saw that the power of the lightning inside was just rank 2.

Lax gave the orb back to Nia and questioned her.

"Hey Nia, have you eaten yet?"

"Ah, not yet. I just finished my training not long ago, so I'm a bit hungry, I think." She replied while patting her stomach.

"Then, wanna come eat with me?"

"Really?!"

"Yeah, I'm heading to the dining table right now. Raymond just finished cooking the food, so I'm heading there to eat." Lax corrected.

"So you wanna come?"

"Yes!" She nodded her head and then grabbed Lax's hand as she pulled him along with her to the dining table.
