Chapter 6

Dolphin helps the vampires make it back to their homes safely, then heads to her home where she sees a surprise.

That surprise is Marely by the door.

Dolphin flies down and stands by Marely.

"What's going on, Marely?" Dolphin ask Marely, looking concerned.

"Nothing, I wanted to visit you, oh and I wanted to give you something I made in art class", said Marely.

"Something, you made in art class", Dolphin looks nervous.

"Yeah, here", said Marely, then reveals a necklace and puts it around Dolphin's neck.

The necklace is made of beads and clouds.

Dolphin looks at the necklace with a surprise, then looks at Marely.

"I hope it's not too much", replied Marely.

"It's beautiful", Dolphin blushed.

"Really?" Marely wondered.

"Yeah", Dolphin smiled.

Marely hugs Dolphin.

Dolphin turns red.

"Dolphin, you feel hot, are you okay?" Marely asks Dolphin. "Are you getting a fever?"

"No, I am okay", Dolphin insisted.

"Are you sure?" Marely questioned.

Dolphin nodded.

"Yeah, we are getting some ice for you anyway, just in case", Marely decided.

Marely and Dolphin enter the house.

Marely and Dolphin take off their shoes.

Marely pours water in a cup and puts ice in the water.

Dolphin drinks the water.

"Better?" Marely asks Dolphin, while sitting in a chair.

"It's really refreshing", Dolphin admitted.

Dolphin sits down on the chair.

"You know it's refreshing for us to talk like normal friends without you always freaking out", Marely pointed out.

"Freaking out? What do you mean?" Dolphin acts like she doesn't know what Marely is talking about.

"Come on, Dolphin, you think I didn't notice that you act nervous whenever you're around me and a bit clumsy", Marely smirked.

"Oh, I was hoping you would brush those moments off", Dolphin hoped.

"I would sometimes, but I feel we should talk about that", said Marely.

"Fine, we'll talk, what do you want to discuss?" Dolphin sighs.

"You know", said Marely.

"Please don't say it", Dolphin begged.

"Admit it", said Marely.

"I don't want to", Dolphin complained.

"We won't get anywhere if you don't admit it", Marely pointed out.

"Okay", said Dolphin. "Marely, it's probably pretty obvious that I have a crush on you".

"See that wasn't so hard", Marely teases Dolphin.

"You have no idea how that made my heart beat really fast", replied Dolphin, looking stressed.

"You are right, I don't, but this is why I want to discuss it with you", Marely smiles.

"Okay, but we have to do it here, I'd rather do it in my room because my parents should be home soon", said Dolphin.

"Alright", said Marely.

Marely and Dolphin go into Dolphin's room.

"Alright, I got a crush on you on the bad I saw you on the track team", Dolphin admitted.

"So, you found me racing against other people and me sweating attractive", Marely teases Dolphin.

"Now you know that is not what I mean", Dolphin hits Marely.

Marely giggled.

"So, when did you notice?" Dolphin asks Marely.

"Uh, when your clumsiness started, so yeah", Marely answers Dolphin's question.

"Oh for that long", Dolphin blushes from embarrassment.

"Yeah, it's kinda hard not notice that", said Marely.

"Great, let at least take a bit of pressure off me, wait how did I not notice that you were acting like you didn't know why I was acting odd?" Dolphin questioned.

"As if I would be thinking about this, when I notice my best friend has mind reading powers", Marely pointed out.

"Right, wait I never told you", Dolphin remembered.

"No, I figured that out on my own", Marely told Dolphin.

"Oh, so I guess you are going to say you don't feel the same way I do, I can take it", Dolphin assumed.

"What makes you say that?" Marely questions, as she put her hands on Dolphin's shoulder.

"Come on, you never saw me in that light, you only saw me as a best friend, that is very obvious. I mean you tease me, but you don't flirt with me", Dolphin noticed, as she gets off the bed.

"Okay, maybe that is true", Marely admitted, as she got off the bed. "But, that doesn't mean we can't be friends".

"What? You think I would think our friendship is too complicated and I would give up on you", Dolphin looked in disbelief.

"Yeah", said Marely.

"Never, you will always be my friend, and I care about you", Dolphin hugs Marely.

"Dolphin, you actually hugged me!" Marely looked surprised.

"Yeah, and I'm not shaking", Dolphin noticed.

"So, I guess your nerves are gone", Marely assumed.

Dolphin smiles.

"So, what are we going to do now?" Marely wondered.

"I have an idea", Dolphin smiles.

Dolphin opens the window, then gets on Marely's back and flies off.

"Wow! How did you ever get used to flying?" Marely asks Dolphin.

"Well, I'll tell you that I was scared, but I learned to not think about how I should fly", Dolphin tells Marely.

"Makes sense, but what about your other powers?" replied Marely.

"My powers are connected to my emotions", said Dolphin.

"Can I get an example?" Marely wondered.

Dolphin heads to the park.

In the park, there are only a few people feeding birds.

Dolphin lands on the ground.

Marely gets off Dolphin's back.

Dolphin's eyes glow, the wind becomes stronger.

Marely looks surprised as the wind picks Dolphin up.

Some people get out of the park.

The wind stops.

Dolphin makes a sunflower appear and gives it to Marely.

"Since when you are smooth", Marely jokes with Dolphin.

Dolphin controls the clouds and makes a stick made of fire.

"You can control the elements", Marely looks shocked.

Dolphin nodded.

The clouds backup and the fire stick stops.

Dolphin whistles and the birds surround her.

Marely looks surprised as Dolphin seems to understand the birds, her heart starts to race as she sees Dolphin smiles.

The birds fly off.

Dolphin spins around on the tree branch and lands on the ground.

"You have strong arms", Marely noticed.

"I do, don't I?" Dolphin smiled.

Dolphin does a backflip.

"Impressive, let me show you how I do it", Marely claps for Dolphin.

Marely does two backflips and does the splits.

"The splits were a bit much", said Dolphin.

"Maybe, I am a bit of a showoff", said Marely.

Dolphin and Marely giggles.
