chapter 4

In the LGBTQIA Community Center, Dolphin is being thanked by Gracie, Belinda, Amir, Yandel, Reagan, and Casey along with everybody else.

"Listen, as much as I would love to celebrate with all of you, I have to go. I still have three classes to attend, so bye", said Dolphin.

"You are a hero and go to school?" Amir questioned.

"I do, and I have to go, bye", said Dolphin, then disappears.

Dolphin appears in the principal's office.

Emery was reading a book, when she heard her ceramic duck break.

"You are back", said Emery, as she puts her book down and looks at Dolphin.

Dolphin's eyes and hand glow and the ceramic duck slowly repairs itself.

"Impressive as ever and from the phone call, I got, well phone calls they are all safe and sound", Emery smiles.

"Yup, sorry it took me a while", said Dolphin.

"It is okay, but you should hurry, you have gym, literature, and Math", said Emery, then gives Dolphin a pass.

"Right", said Dolphin, then super speeds out of the office into the hallway, then comes back and closes the door.

Dolphin changes into a red shirt, white shorts, and white shoes, while running through the hallway at superspeed and makes it to the gym.

In the gym, a bunch of students are participating in many events, and the teacher is helping some students with tennis.

"Dolphin, you're here", said Marely.

Dolphin turns around to see Marely wearing a yellow shirt, white shorts, and white shoes doing jump rope.

"H…h..h..", Dolphin stuttered, then trips over a small red ball. "Ow!"

Marely runs to Dolphin and asks "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, pain resistant", said Dolphin, as Marely helps her up.

"So, you only feel a slight sting?" Marely asks Dolphin, looking interested, yet concerned.

"Yeah, so what's going on?" Dolphin asks Marely, while looking around the gym.

"Today, we are doing many activities, so you can pick jump rope, volleyball, Tennis, and dodgeball", Merely explained.

"Oh, where's the other jump rope?" Dolphin asked.

Marely points to the stage.

Dolphin super speeds onto the stage, grabs the jump rope, and jumps off the stage.

"So, you want to jump rope together?" Marely asks Dolphin, with a sweet smile.

'Relax, you can do that, wait what if I say something stupid, just nod', thought Dolphin.

Dolphin nodded.

"Great", said Marely.

Marely and Dolphin jump rope side by side.

'This isn't that bad', thought Dolphin.

'She seems to be giving a break from acting like a Nervous Nancy, thank goodness', thought Marely.

"So, Dolphin, I wanted to ask you", said Marely.

"Sure, ask anything", replied Dolphin.

"Do you want to come over tonight for a sleepover at my house?" Marely asks Dolphin.

"Me…sleepover…with you", said Dolphin, nervously, then drops the jump rope on her foot and froze.

"Dolphin. Dolphin, are you alright? Dolphin", Marely calls to Dolphin, as she tries to get her out of her frozen state.

"Not again", complained a girl.

"How is she the same girl that saves the world everyday?" another girl complains.

"I know", said the first girl.

Dolphin shakes her head and says "I would love to go to a sleepover at your house".

"Really! That's great", said Marley, then hugs Dolphin.

"What do you know, she actually was able to say yes", said A girl.

After school, Dolphin is packing pajamas, her phone, charger, and a toy into a bookbag.

"Dolphin, you have everything for your sleepover?" Annie asked.

"I do", said Dolphin.

"Let me see the bag, sweetie", said Derek.

"Okay, dad", said Dolphin.

Dolphin walks out of her room, slides down the rail, and lands on the floor.

Derek and Annie are standing by the door.

Derek has short black hair, brown skin, wearing a blue polo shirt, pants, and shoes.

Annie has bushy black hair, brown skin, wearing a blue polo shirt, pants, and shoes.

Dolphin opens her bag and shows it to Annie and Derek.

Annie and Derek looks into the bag.

"Dolphin, where's your can?" Annie asks Dolphin.

"Right, it's a full moon tonight", Dolphin remembered.

Dolphin opens the cabinet, grabs a can, and puts it into her bag with her stretchy arm.

"Also, you need water in case you are overusing your powers for an emergency", Derek pointed out.

"Right", Dolphin nodded.

Dolphin grabs three bottles of water and puts it in the bag.

"Here's a picture in case you lose control of yourself", Annie offered a picture frame of the family.

"Mom, dad, it'll be okay, it's only one night, I'll be back tomorrow afternoon", Dolphin reassures her parents.

"We know, but we can never predict what could happen with your powers", replied Annie.

"Okay, I'll bring everything with me", said Dolphin.

Annie and Derek sigh in relief.

Dolphin hugs Annie and Derek and opens the door.

Derek and Annie looks worried, while Dolphin walks out of the door.

"She'll be fine", Derek reassures Annie.

"I know, but anything can happen", said Annie.

"Yeah, but she is prepared", said Derek.

Annie smiles.

Dolphin knocks at a red door.

The red door opens revealing a woman who has red hair, brown skin, wearing a red gown and slippers.

Her name is Naima.

"Hi, Ms. Nium", said Dolphin.

"Hi, Dolphin, Marely is upstairs, and please take your shoes off right on this rug", replied Naima.

"Okay", said Dolphin, then took off her shoes.

Dolphin puts the shoes on the side of the rug.

Naima closes the door.

Dolphin heads upstairs.

"And remember not to run down the stairs and don't be too loud", Naima tells Dolphin.

"Yes, ma'am", replied Dolphin.

"Alright, now have fun, and if you need anything my door is open", said Naima. "Also, don't interrupt Sydney".

Dolphin walks upstairs and Naima goes into the living room.

Dolphin sees a door open and peeks seeing a 16-year-old girl writing in a notebook with a lamp on.

Dolphin backs up and walks the hallway, looks through the door, and finds Marely.

Dolphin opens the door.

Marely is listening to music with headphones on and doing ballet.

Dolphin smiles, puts her bookbag down, closes the door, and performs ballet.

Dolphin and Marely are doing ballet together.

'Thank goodness, I'm glad, i'm not acting stupid', thought Dolphin.

Dolphin and Marely meet eye to eye.

"Hi", said Dolphin.

"Hi", said Marely.

Marely puts her headphones down and says "Why didn't you tell me you were here?"

"I thought us dancing would be fun", Dolphin lied.

"Alright, so what did you bring?" Marely asks Dolphin.

"Oh, just accessories that I will use in case of an emergency", Dolphin told Marely.

"Oh, so what do you want to do?" Marely asks Dolphin.

"Want to dance some more?" Dolphin asked.

"Sure, let's do some hip hop, you know that?" Marely offered.

Marely turns on hip hop music.

Marely and Dolphin do hip hop dances.

Dolphin accidentally trips over the curtain and the curtains open revealing the moon.

"Oh no", said Dolphin.

"What's wrong?" Marely asks Dolphin, as she sees Dolphin moving to the closet.

"The moon, it..it..", Dolphin tries to explain, but her ears become wolf-like, claws come out with toenails and fingernails and her tail too.

Marely looks shocked.

Dolphin howls.

"Dolphin, are you okay?" Marely asks Dolphin, as she tries to touch her.

Dolphin looks confused and barks.

"Oh, you don't understand humans, that makes this sleepover difficult", replied Marely.

Marely sees Dolphin having a can in her mouth.

"What's that?" Marely takes the can. "This can is for when I become animal like".

Marely looks at the can and says "So, you want me to feed you this?"

Dolphin howls.

"No problem", said Marely, then opens the door.

Dolphin tries to follow Marely.

"No, stay", said Marely. "My mom and my sister can't see you like that".

Dolphin looks sad and sits.

"Good, I'll be right back", said Marely, then closes the door.

Marely heads downstairs.

Dolphin runs around the room.

The window is opened by a girl who has bushy red hair, white skin, wearing a sleeveless red shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes.

Dolphin growls at the girl.

The girl also reveals her wolf eyes and ears, while trying to calm down Dolphin.

Marely opens the door and has a bowl, then says "Hey, what's going on?"

The girl takes Dolphin and jumps out of the window.

"Dolphin!" Marely freaks out, then drops the bowl and runs downstairs.

"What's going on, Marely?" Naima asks Marely.

"Nothing, just taking a stroll", said Marely, as she headed to the door.

"Okay, but don't be out, too late", said Naima.

"Okay", said Marely, then opens the door and closes it.

Marely sees The girl that is taking Dolphin away and runs off.

"Thank goodness, I was temporarily part of the track team", replied Marely, as she followed the girl.

The girl makes it to the warehouse.

The girl puts Dolphin on the floor.

Dolphin barks at the girl.

The girl starts to sing sweetly and that calms Dolphin down.

"Was that a lullaby I heard?" Another girl appears. "Pesuna".

The girl has short blonde hair, brown skin, wolf ears, wolf eyes, wearing a purple sleeveless shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes named Toma.

"Yup, I found a new wolf", replied Pesuna.

Dolphin is scratching her ear.

Marely opens the door with her breathing hard, and says "Excuse me".

Dolphin barks and runs to Marely.

"Dolphin, are you okay?" Marely asks Dolphin.

"Stay away from that young wolf, mortal", Pesuna tells Marely.

"Excuse me, she's my friend and we were having a sleepover until you kidnapped her", Marley complained, while facing Pesuna.

"Kidnap! I rescued her from you, you are probably trying to brainwash her into a human", Pesuna argues back.

"She is a human, well mutant, she just was changed", Marley tries to explain.

Toma pets Dolphin and says "It's okay, they are just having a fun conversation".

Dolphin hugs Toma.

"A hug, No lick, unusual tail, more snake-like eyes", Toma observes Dolphin, then whistles. "Yo, Pesuna".

Pesuna looks at Toma.

"What the mortal said is true, she doesn't have the pure scent of a wolf, she has the human scent", Toma tells Pesuna.

Pesuna looks shocked.

"I told you", Marley smirks.

"Are you sure?" Pesuna asks Toma.

"Yes", Toma nodded.

"Oh, then you can take her back", said Pesuna.

"She's not a pet", said Marley, as she walks to Dolphin.

Dolphin jumps onto Marley.

"Alright, let's go, Dolphin", Marley smiled, then walked out of the warehouse.

Marley walks back to her house and says "I hope you turn back to normal soon, but then again we could have fun".

They make it back to the house.

Marley enters her bedroom with no worry.

Dolphin lays onto Marley's bed.

"Wait, you have to eat", said Marley, then grabs the bowl.

Dolphin sniffs the bowl and backs away to the wall.

"Come on, it's not bad", said Marley.

Dolphin hops away.

Marley chases Dolphin around the room until she is tired.

After she is tired, Dolphin eats the food that was in the bowl.

Dolphin turns back to normal.

"Uh, what happened?" Dolphin asks Marley, while scratching her head.

"Uh", Marley fell on the floor.

"Oh, I guess I was a handful", Dolphin figured out.

"Yes, you were, but now I know that next time on a full moon, I'll be prepared", said Marley.

"I am so sorry, you want me to watch a movie or we can listen to calming music?" Dolphin offered.

"Calming music", Marley yawned.

Marley and Dolphin lie on the bed, while music is playing.

"Say, Marley I have to admit that I remember some things from when I was in my animal-like state", said Dolphin, then sees Marely lying on her lap.

Dolphin blushes.

"Uh, Marely, Marely", Dolphin softly calls to Marely, but she is in deep sleep.

'Oh boy, I am definitely not going to be able to sleep', thought Dolphin.
