CHAPTER 10: We Really didn't ask, i'm not lying!

after a night of not so good sleep partly because i became a father and because the kid woke up every 39 minutes, i woke up before everyone else.

so i figured it was time i explained a few things when the rest woke up, if we had time of course.

i looked at the sky then i started to sweat a bit, it was a school week...everyone was still in Karin's room. And the sun was peeking.

- WAKE UP IDIOTS!!

Adam woke with a start Akashi stayed in bed just looking at the ceiling. While Gin was struggling to wake up and Karin didn't even try.

- What's with you? .Adam started. We barely slept.

Shiki just stared at him until Adam realized how late it was.

- Oh shit.

- i thought we were gonna skip today.Gin managed.

- We can't we just started going yesterday and with they're dumbass rule that doesn't make any sense about coming late i don't want to know what they do to new comers who completely skip a day!

- but both Adam and your clothes are burned.

- It's just a little burn Gin don't cry!And why aren't u sayin' shit Akashi.

- Wait you didn't notice? .Gin said it like it was the most dumbfounding thing. He's sleeping, you really thought he'd wake up?

- alright.

Shiki went to the bathroom and water could be heard. Adam and Gin immediately rose and started to get ready. When he came back he had a bucket full of water and threw it at the still sleeping Akashi and Karin. while Akashi woke up Karin acted like she was used to it.( they decided to carry her)

I had to not only wear suspenders but also keep the baby in my arms baby who for some reason did not once cry since they left Karin's room( who by the way only woke when they arrived at the entrance. she tried to escape but Shiki caught her as they had to go through the teachers office to register as official name givers ( parents for short)

- u sure you two should go?. Akashi wasn't really sure if they should actually let Shiki and Karin alone. Wouldn't it be better if Adam went with Shiki or something?

before Karin could try to hype up the idea Adam and Shiki said jumped in first.

- sorry man, I don't swing that way.

they looked at each other and yet again in perfect sync.

- Well That was cringe.

they exchanged a look and exchanged their thoughts like that '' just stop talking'' Karin and Shiki went towards the teacher's lounge tho it was at the other side of the building which gave enough time to strike up an insanely awkward conversation.

- So~

- what?

- well you know the hum.

- Spit it out Karin we don't have time for you to act shy.

- I-I'M NOT hum, i'm not acting shy it's just what-what name are we going to use?

- ? Well Theseus what other name?

- no i- i mean family name which of our names will be used ?

i had totally forgotten that, worst was that none lf their names actually sounded good with the name theseus.

- we'll use mine.

- right right....why tho?

Shiki looked at her with discontent and disgust -what you want him to have your name ?

- that-that's not what i meant it's just why your name i mean mine's , no offense intended way cooler.

For the first time since i knew Karin i Looked at her with an almost shocked expression, for the first time i let feelings out and i couldn't control it.

- What IN the hell are you talking about ?

- i'm just saying~

- you're family name literally comes from a cursed girl!

- wh wa w-well You're name comes from one of the most slayne creatures by heroes!

- NONONO first of all they always mistake high wyverns with Dragon's, second of all ursula is super ugly ! did you see how dragons look!

- Huh excuse me But I've got Ursula in my name and i'm far prettier than probably every girl you know.

- oh Come On i've seen better.

- don't get started man you know damn well i'm right we're not using Your stupid animal name!

- well we're not using your cursed name either!

now we had just stopped walking she got on my nerves feat only Adam achieved. I had to come up with something but before that we should continue walking as we had become a hell of a show for passing students. it seemed like karin had grown two cm in the course of a night which made her a cm taller than me and made me look even more like a kid.

- you know what we'll use my uncle's name.

- why your unc. While she tried to speak i put a finger on her mouth and started to rant.

- You see I was the one who saved him, I was the one who warmed him up, I was the one who put him to sleep, I was the one changed his stinkin' clothe while no one else noticed, I was the one who carried him, I was the one who fed him. So you would understand that I want to choose the family name right?.She nodded. Good so taking your complaint into consideration i'll use my uncle's name which also doesn't really sound good but it's better. now let us go ahead.

when she started the argument about which family name Thessi(Short for Theseus) should have and when she mentioned Shiki's family name for the first time since she knew the mysterious kid, she saw an expression filled with different emotions which made her finally click

- Ah he has some humanity too-

the previous day when she found the four boys due to one of her dreams she went through heaven and earth to find them. It was like they stopped being in a physical/material plane for a moment. like they never even were in her world.

She often had those dreams. but for some reason foe the first time it was completely clear,she understood what she had to do. but coming back to the present they now entered the teacher's lounge and all the attention was focused not on her nor Shiki but the incredibly cute baby. She kind of froze seeing their homeroom teacher's face he was not only completely shocked he seemed almost dissapointed, not in a creepy way of course but more like he's seen his best students waste their futures.

- approach.

the full moon teacher in charged of child cases had some sort of cold tone. the normally bright and cheerful teacher's lounge was now heavy. the poorly painted white walls were peeling only from the atmosphere

- So tell me, She said did you speed up the process or where you hiding it?

IT? Karin didn't like the way one of her favourite teachers was calling the kid she had named a night ago, even if she was the only one to be pissed she thought but then again to her surprise Shiki was Staring at miss.Violet with darkness never seen before. And before she could lash out Shiki stopped her by striking the conversation. she knew that Shiki did it to protect her reputation not only amongst the teachers but also amongst the students, She thought to herself- how can someone so much weaker than me give me indirect orders? and why am i just going along with him?-

- he's adopted miss. he said, miss Violet's eyes started to glow a luminescent gray.

- say that again, and i won't tolerate any lies boy. the room felt even more heavy now every teacher was ejecting a form of pressure, at first she thought she was lucky there were no other students in the lounge bit then she regretted it because they had no reason to treat the two fairly as even if having a kid is actually ''ok'' with school non of the teachers actually liked that and actually never gave respect to any student tht had a kid in their school days again they started treating them unfairly. Well with a few exceptions.

- We adopted the kid. Shiki continued. there has been no sexual interaction between me and miss ursula karin, We made the mistake of Bonding under a full moon with a baby around which made us click and named him at the same time.

For a brief moment there was only silence the teacher closed her eyes and when they opened the were glowing a luminescent Green. Suddenly all the pressure the room had was lifted all the teachers sighed in relief.

- OH THANK THE GODS~

they all began talking to each other tho Karin was kind of mad she didn't get to say anything.

- So.miss violet continued. are you going to keep him or will you give it to school until maturity.

- Him. Karin said.

- Excuse me ?

- you keep saying it it's Him.

- oh right. she took a brown notebook that looked fresh new and opened it a few pages were full of names, well it was no wonder the school had over 3000 male students and 2700 female students it was basically a city on it's own and was part of the reason why children were accepted.What's HIS name?

karin looked at Shiki who let out a sigh

- didn't i just tell you?

they all looked at Shiki a bit weirdly, then for a brief moment karin caught a glimpse of confusion on Shiki's face who instantly regained his composure.

- oh i mean i thought i told Karin outside but i might be mistaken, hum his name is Theseus Myërs .

- hm~ i see and where did you find him?

- confidential.

of course there was some privacy in all that if the parents had no intention of explaining things they did not need to and because it was proven that Shiki did not lie they had no right to preach about it more.

- alright so keep him or give him to school.

Shiki had absolutely no intention of keeping him but he looked a Karin yet again she looked him dead in the eye.

- we're keeping him.

Karin Stared at him like he was crazy but Shiki seemed amused, She never really managed to guess what he was thinking and even if she herself wanted to keep the kid, she got the feeling that Shiki's intentions were not as pure or benevolent as hers. and for the first time she felt dread from someone who was below her level, she felt as if something had finally started moving.and as they gave Shiki all the things he needed to take care of the baby and after they managed to get out of the room without mention of how late they arrived at school' She looked or more accurately,stared at Shiki.

- If you continue to stare like that you'll bore a hole through my face.

normally she would've kinda blushed and try to tease him in vain. but this time she felt like it was no time to do that, as the girl could not clearly formulate a sentence she just asked.

- i'm way over my head aren't i?. Shiki just grinned at her, a smile with no feeling no hate no love just nothing. and lemme guess. she continued. I can't back up now?

- what? .shiki said. You want a medal or something?

before she could respond a kid the same age or maybe a little older than Karin arrived puffing for air.

- K-Karin you gotta stop them. she said. The new kids they're getting they're asses pummeled. and in unison Karin and Shiki started leisurely walking towards the plaza.

- no wait it's not in that direction.

- damn that crazy but like..who asked? Shiki did you ask?

- don't remember asking.

they continued to walk away without listening to the kid who was still screaming behind them and together again they said.

- every damned day.

Karin thought to herself - when am i gonna hold the baby? -
