Xmas Special - Last of The Cybermen

A man bangs a hammer onto some hard metal.

The man then drops the hammer and sighs "it's done".

The Cyban Cyber Controller stomps over and says "the ship is complete?" the man nods "yes, can I go now?" The Cyban Cyber Controller tilts its head and says "you will become like me!".

The man then screams.

Later on, the small spaceship flies up into the air, The Cyban Cyber Controller sits in a chair, with the man, who is now upgraded and a Cyban Cyberman.

The spaceship flies through space.

Suddenly, a spark comes off the ship and the Cyban Cyberman then says "Controller, malfunctions have been detected!" the Cyban Cyber Controller looks down and says "we are headed for a planet, we will convert all life on it!".

On a planet, a group of people stands watching as the spaceship crashes down on their planet.

The Tardis starts to materialise on a planet, as the Tardis lands, snow starts to drop onto the Tardis.

Kathy steps outside wearing a tank top and she says "oh my god! It's freezing!".

The Doctor steps out and smiles "snow! I haven't seen snow in ages" Kathy says "yeah, well it can go away now, why are we even here?" The Doctor says "I wanted to go and find some help, but it seems as if something wants our help, I had a distress call from here, although I'm starting to worry that we may be here a little too late" Kathy says "what makes you say that?" The Doctor sighs and he points over into the distance.

Kathy turns around and sees flags hung up with The Cybermen logo on them.

Kathy says "I recognise that" The Doctor nods at her "Cybermen, they invaded your world last Christmas, and the Christmas before that" Kathy says "they must love Christmas" The Doctor nods "they tried to escape Earth, but my friend Maya...she died to stop them from escaping, I'm starting to worry that her sacrifice was for nothing" Kathy says "then let's go and find out".

The Doctor and Kathy start to walk down a pathway, and towards the Cybermen base.

Down at the Cyberman Base, inside a control room, a Cyban Cyberman then says "readings of Artron Energy detected outside the premises".

As The Doctor and Kathy get closer to the Cyberman Base, The Doctor pulls his Sonic Screwdriver out and starts to scan towards the base.

Kathy looks at The Doctor, until suddenly, a man shouts "GET AWAY FROM THERE!".

Turning around, The Doctor and Kathy see a man running up to them holding a gun.

The Doctor says "don't shoot!". The man looks at The Doctor "I won't shoot you, it's them I'll shoot if they attack-" The Doctor nods "the Cybermen?" the man nods at The Doctor. The man says "come with me if you wanna live".

Following the man, The Doctor says "so, what do we call you?" the man looks at him and says "I'm Andrew, Andrew Wilkins".

Later on, The Doctor and Kathy follow Andrew into a small cave, The Doctor then sees survivors inside the case.

People are wrapped up in blankets beside small campfires, with tents surrounding the area.

Kathy looks at Andrew and she says "what happened here?" Andrew sits down beside a woman and says "they came about six months ago, promising change...upgrade-".

The Doctor says "doesn't surprise me-".

The woman then looks at The Doctor and says "you've met them before?" The Doctor nods at her "yeah, they're survivors, from Earth, they tried to do what they've done here, to Earth...but I was there to stop them" Andrew says "they convinced some people to do the upgrade, but when they finally revealed what they'd become...people fled, we hid here, Helen helped me save these people, but more and more people die every day" The Doctor says "I'm sorry for your loss, all of you, but they will find you eventually, we have to stop them before they take everyone" Helen says "how do we do that? We fight them?" The Doctor says "fight them, yes...but we do it the smart way".

Inside the Cyban Cybermen's Control Room, a Cyberman says "life forms detected, five miles away, send a squad to investigate".

A Cyberman then puts his hand onto its chest plate and says "I obey!".

The Doctor sits down beside Andrew and says "they're led by a Cyber Controller, I've been fighting it for a while now, it caused the death of one my friends, is it here? Have you seen the Controller?" Andrew says "they may have mentioned something about a leader, but I don't know anything about a Controller" The Doctor nods at him "it'll be here somewhere".

Helen then says "actually, hold on-".

All of a sudden, a Cyberman's voice is then heard saying "lifeforms detected, you will all be upgraded, or you will be deleted!".

People start to scream as Cybermen emerge from all around them.

The Doctor shouts "NO!".

Kathy and Andrew stand together, looking around in shock.

People start to get shot by The Cybermen, and they fall to the floor.

Helen looks around in shock, she then runs towards the exit.

A Cyberman starts stomping towards The Doctor, The Doctor says "WAIT! I'M THE DOCTOR, YOU NEED ME, KEEP ME AND MY FRIENDS ALIVE!". The Cyberman looks at The Doctor and says "you will come to the Control Room!".

Outside, The Doctor, Kathy, and Andrew walk through the snow and towards the Cyberman Base.

Kathy looks at The Doctor "so, I'm assuming you've got some genius idea on how to get us out?" The Doctor says "right now, let's just find out what they want from us first, probably my brain knowing them-".

Walking through the Cyber Base, the three of them walk downstairs and into the Cyber Control Room.

The Doctor, Kathy, and Andrew stand together inside the Cyber Control Room.

Kathy then looks over at a Cyberman who is standing in front of a control panel with a massive lever on it. Kathy stares at The Cyberman.

The Doctor starts walking around slowly and says "so, we're here what happens now?" a Cyberman says "you are all an enemy of the Cybermen!" The Doctor nods "and what?" the Cyberman says "enemies of the Cybermen must be deleted!".

A Cyberman stomps over and puts its hand on Andrew's shoulder, electrocuting him.

The Doctor stares in shock "NO! YOU DIDN'T NEED TO KILL HIM!".

Kathy stares in shock.

Another Cyberman stomps forward and toward Kathy.

The Doctor pulls his Sonic Screwdriver out and points it at The Cyberman and says "leave her alone, or I will stop you!".

A voice then shouts "ENOUGH!".

The Doctor and Kathy turn around to see a door open and a massive steel chair slowly moves out of the room with the Cyban Cyber Controller sitting on the chair.

The Cyber Controller says "Doctor" The Doctor steps forward and says "well, you survived...again" The Cyber Controller says "I am the Controller of the Cybermen, I always survive" The Doctor says "not this time, Maya sacrificed herself just so you wouldn't survive, she died...because of you!" the Cyber Controller says "and yet I survive".

Outside, in small groups of ten, Cyban Cybermen march together.

Back inside the Cyber Control Room, The Cyber Controller says "we have been building this base for months now, this planet was full of anger, fear, revenge-".

The Doctor nods "because you landed here!".

The Cyber Controller says "we removed their emotions, created a Cyber Planet".

The Doctor says "this planet will not be ruled by The Cybermen!" the Cyber Controller says "and will you stop us? You are full of emotions, we can remove emotions-".

Kathy steps forward, The Doctor goes to speak until she says "how is it fair that you get to choose that these people don't deserve their emotions? Emotions are what makes us who we are, what makes us unique-".

A Cyberman stomps forward and she "signs of grief located, grief is an emotion!".

The Cyber Controller looks at Kathy "we can take that emotion!".

A bunch of Cybermen starts to turn towards Kathy, looking at her.

The Doctor holds his Sonic Screwdriver and says "wait! Wait! Listen, I am the smartest person in the universe, not to gloat about it, but I am, I could basically do anything, and if you hurt Kathy, then I won't help you! So? What do you say? Do we have a deal?".

The Cyber Controller stands up from its chair and says "YOU WILL BE DELETED!".

The Doctor rolls his eyes "well, if only it was that easy".

Suddenly, a blast gun shoots through the chest of one of the Cybermen.

The Cyber Leader looks over to the corner of the room.

The Doctor turns around.

Suddenly, Helen smiles at The Doctor and says "come on, RUN!".

The Doctor takes Kathy's hand and he smiles at her "run".

As Kathy runs, she looks over at The Cyberman who is standing in front of the control panel, and she sees the word 'inhibitor' written on the control panel.

The Doctor and Kathy run together, holding hands.

Helen runs behind them.

Cybermen shoot their guns toward The Doctor, Kathy, and Helen.

Moments later, The Doctor stops running and says "wait, we need to stop" Kathy looks at The Doctor and says "what? Why? The Cybermen are coming!" The Doctor nods at her "exactly, they're always going to be coming!" Helen looks at The Doctor and says "what are you saying?" The Doctor says "we need to stop them...for good!" Kathy then says "how?" The Doctor smiles at her.

Moments later, The Doctor says "Cybermen are people with all emotions removed, a Cyberman can't bare to live with the emotions because when they realise what has happened to them, it kills them, the emotions are turned off by an inhibitor, which is on their chest plate. All the Cybermen are linked by a Cyber Database, it connects them together, but the inhibitor can be turned off, switching their emotions back on, which kills them. We need to find the code or the switch that connects the inhibitor".

Kathy then smiles and says "I've seen it! In the control room, a Cyberman was standing in front of a panel, it had a lever on it! It said inhibitor!" The Doctor smiles "THAT'S IT! You're brilliant!".

Helen nods "now what?" The Doctor says "we go back, and we pull that lever".

As a Cyberman marches around the base. The Cyberman turns around as it hears the sound of running.

Helen then shoots the Cyberman, and it falls to the floor.

The Doctor looks at Helen and says "you stay out here, keep any Cybermen from coming in, me and Kathy will finish this" Helen nods at him "good luck".

The Doctor and Kathy run into the Cyber Base.

Entering the Cyber Control Room, a Cyberman says "it is The Doctor!".

The Cyber Controller says "DELETE HIM!".

The Doctor pulls his Sonic Screwdriver out and aims it at the control panel with the lever on.

The Doctor says "anyone moves, and I'll turn off your inhibitors" The Cyber Controller steps up and off of its chair and says "you threaten the Cybermen?" The Doctor looks at The Cyber Controller and says "it was you...with Maya, the reason she died! HER DEATH WAS FOR NOTHING! Because you are still alive...AND SHE ISN'T!".

Kathy looks at The Doctor nervously.

The Doctor then looks at his Sonic Screwdriver, then back at the Cyber Controller and says "but you should be too!".

The Doctor then presses his Sonic Screwdriver, activating the lever.

Suddenly, a massive explosion goes off, and The Cybermen start screaming.

Outside, Helen watches as Cybermen's heads explode.

Back in the Control Room, Cybermen start to die.

The Doctor watches as the Cyber Controller then falls to its knees screaming.

Kathy watches in shock.

The Doctor walks over to Cyber Controller and says "this...this is for Maya".

The Cyber Controller's head then explodes.

The Cyber Base starts to explode.

Helen watches from a distance until she then sees The Doctor and Kathy run out together.

The Cyber Base then explodes, causing debris to fly everywhere.

A few hours later, Kathy sits on a rock near the Tardis.

The Doctor stands with Helen and says "I'll keep in touch. But The Cybermen should now all be gone from your planet, so you should all be safe...you just need to rebuild" Helen nods "thank you, Doctor, for saving our planet. See you again...hopefully".

The Doctor walks away from Helen, and over to Kathy.

The Doctor looks at Kathy and says "ready to go?" Kathy looks at The Doctor and she says "yeah".

Kathy stands up, The Doctor says "I'm sorry about what happened in there" Kathy looks at The Doctor and says "I don't know what happened in there, but you really frightened me" The Doctor stares at her "yeah...I know".

The Doctor looks at the Tardis and he says "right, let's go do what we need to do, ey?" Kathy nods at him.
