Episode 10 - Finale - The Unknown - Part 2

Previously: The Doctor arrived at Trenzalore, where he discovered The Unknown waiting for him. Saying goodbye to Kathy and Jack, The 14th Doctor confronted The Unknown at the Church, The Unknown had already taken the 2nd and 3rd Doctor. The Unknown started to capture The 14th Doctor where the 12th Doctor showed up.

The 14th Doctor's eyes are closed as ripples of time flash past his eyes.

The 14th Doctor then puts his hands onto his head, until he opens his eyes.

The 14th Doctor looks around at a dark room, at the corner of the room, is The Unknown.

The 14th Doctor then says "you're taking my life, everything I've...you're taking it!".

The Unknown then says "I will devour it all!".

A bright orange glow lights up Kathy's and Jack's faces as they stand inside the 12th Doctor's Tardis.

The 12th Doctor flicks some buttons on the console and says "right, we're safe".

Kathy then looks at the 12th Doctor and she says "but what about The Doctor, he's been taken!" The 12th Doctor nods at her "all in good time, anyway...what's your name?" Kathy then says "I'm Kathy Yates" The 12th Doctor nods "I'm The Doctor, by what I could see of your Doctor, I'm somewhere in his past, so I look forward to meeting you" Kathy stares at him "right".

The 12th Doctor smiles at Jack and says "well, it is nice to see you again, how long has it been?" Jack then says "well, it's not really been that long if you include your future face".

The 14th Doctor looks at The Unknown and says "why haven't you just killed my incarnation already?" The Unknown smirks "what would be the fun in that? Why not relive some moments that scarred you? Or make you die painfully" The 14th Doctor sighs "you won't break me".

The Unknown then says "you won't make it out alive Doctor".

Back in the 12th Doctor's Tardis, The 12th Doctor then says "right, so a plan?" Kathy nods at The 12th Doctor "what is our plan?" The 12th Doctor smiles "I'm not sure yet" Kathy stares at The 12th Doctor "we need to get my Doctor back, he said to me that The Rani told him stuff about The Unknown, he knows more than all of us on how to possibly stop it" The 12th Doctor sighs "Rani? That's an old friend...but if she's given him information, then he might be the only one to save us...well, me...well...all of me" Jack then says "so? Doctor? What are we doing?" The 12th Doctor then smiles at Jack "I have a risky idea, one that could possibly kill me if your Doctor doesn't stop The Unknown, but as he's me, I'm willing to trust him with my life" Kathy nods at him "so?" The 12th Doctor smiles at them.

The 14th Doctor steps out of the Tardis, he looks around outside, where he then sees the Redburn's house.

The 14th Doctor stares in shock "no, why am I here?".

The 14th Doctor watches as the door opens and Karla steps out of the house wearing black.

The 14th Doctor stares at Karla "Karla?" Karla stares at The 14th Doctor "you killed her".

The 14th Doctor's eyes fill with tears and he says "who did I kill?" Karla then says "Maya!".

The 14th Doctor then opens his eyes and he is stood back inside the darkroom.

The Unknown them smiles at The Doctor "a tasty memory, one of pain...one of mourning. Remember how she died" The 14th Doctor shouts "GET OUT OF MY MEMORIES! Leave Maya alone!" The Unknown starts to laugh "tell me how it feels, how it felt, watching her die" The 14th Doctor stares at The Unknown and says "she was under my protection...she trusted me! And I let her down, I let Greg down, and I let her family down!" The Unknown smiles at The 14th Doctor.

The 12th Doctor holds a book and he says "Timelords wrote a story about The Unknown, it became a story after it was thrown into the Void. The Unknown was an original Timelord who helped to build the Capitol, it helped to build the planet Gallifrey into the magnificent planet it was. But it had a different vision, Timelords wanted to do their own thing, but The Unknown wanted to rule the universe, it wanted power and an empty universe...so the Timelords threw it into the Void, in hopes to entrap it for the rest of eternity".

The 12th Doctor stands thinking for a moment until he says "if it's a Timelord, there's a chance it could regenerate. If it can, there's no telling what incarnation it could possibly be on...but either way, that thing is not a Timelord anymore, it's evolved into a monster" Kathy looks at The 12th Doctor "you're still not telling us how we can stop it and save The Doctor" The 12th Doctor then looks at Kathy "stop it? I have no idea how to stop it, for all I know, you can't, but save your Doctor? That's something I can do but involves me sacrificing my life in hopes that he can save all of my lives" Jack then steps forward and he says "I've not seen much of this Doctor, but I know he is still The Doctor, he will be able to save you all, I know he can" The 12th Doctor smiles "Captain, it's a shame I haven't been able to see you in a while, hopefully...we can work something out soon" Jack smiles "don't leave it too long, or I'll be the one to come visit you".

The 12th Doctor looks at Kathy and he says "alright, let's save your Doctor, so he can save me".

The 12th Doctor presses some buttons, and the Tardis continues to fly.

Kathy then says "are you all on your own?" The 12th Doctor looks at her and says "what?" Kathy says "are you on your own?" The 12th Doctor sighs "at the moment yes, not for too long, I lost a friend a while back, something happened, and I can't remember her, Clara was her name, that's all I remember, but at the moment, I'm happy to be alone, I just put people's lives in danger".

Kathy stares at him.

The 12th Doctor's Tardis materialises down onto Trenzalore.

The 12th Doctor then walks out of the Tardis with Kathy and Jack.

The 12th Doctor says "when I'm gone and your Doctor is back, make sure you get back to his Tardis, and you get far away from here until you figure out how to stop it" Kathy nods at him.

Jack then says "his Tardis was absorbed by the ground, we didn't know how to find it" The 12th Doctor then pulls a small object out of his coat and he then says "use this, it'll help you find the Tardis, I'm assuming you still know how to pilot it?" Jack nods at The 12th Doctor "of course I do" The 12th Doctor nods "find the Tardis, land outside the church, wait for your Doctor".

Jack nods at him "alright".

Jack takes the object.

The 12th Doctor smiles at Kathy "I look forward to meeting you, the long way round".

The 12th Doctor smiles at Jack "until the next time, Jack Harkness".

Jack smiles at The 12th Doctor.

The 12th Doctor then walks towards the church.

Kathy and Jack start walking in the opposite direction, searching for their Tardis.

The 14th Doctor falls onto the floor, feeling weakened.

The Unknown then says "your fight is almost over now, Doctor" The 14th Doctor lays on the floor and says "it...can't...be...over!" The Unknown says "once you're gone, I will go after the rest of your lives, every single one, until there is none left to feast on, then with you out of the picture, I will feast on planet Earth, and the universe will be mine!" The 14th Doctor glares at The Unknown but then starts to laugh. The Unknown stares at The Doctor.

The 14th Doctor then forces himself to stand up, The 14th Doctor then nods and says "that's right when I'm gone, but I'm not gone, I'm still here...you wanna try and beat me? Go ahead, but you should know one thing about me, I may be the only one to stop you, but have you heard about every other thing that has tried to stop me? Or beat me-".

The Unknown stares at The Doctor.

The 14th Doctor then continues and he smiles "look me up, because nothing has ever beaten me, nothing ever will, I'll be alive for as long as I want to be, I will continue saving this universe until my last hearts beat. You want to beat me? You want to stop me? You want this universe? Then I'll give you some advice, never ever tell me your plan because you'll get nothing whilst I'm still around".

The Unknown then starts to growl as The 14th Doctor watches the black room start to fade.

The 14th Doctor then opens his eyes, and he is laying on the floor inside the church.

The 14th Doctor stands up, seeing The Unknown walking down the aisle.

On the opposite side of the aisle is The 12th Doctor.

The 12th Doctor then says to The Unknown "hello there, I'm The Doctor, the original, you might say" The Unknown then says "you interrupted my feast!" The 12th Doctor nods "yes, because if that Doctor properly looks back into his memories, if you looked properly into his memories, then you'd see what was about to happen!".

The 14th Doctor then stands there and he smiles "thank you".

The 12th Doctor nods at The 14th Doctor "just save us, save all of us".

The Unknown then puts its hands onto The 12th Doctor.

The 12th Doctor falls to his knees screaming.

Walking down into a small cave together, Jack helps Kathy down a slope.

Jack then says "so, we haven't had much time to talk, how long have you been with The Doctor?" Kathy smiles at Jack "not for too long, I met him a while ago, he helped me with a case, I'm a detective by the way. But he left, as I wanted to stay and track down my boyfriend's killer. You remember that Skorpion looking thing that was admitted to Torchwood?" Jack nods at her and Kathy says "well, I was the one who found it, I called Torchwood, so they could arrest it" Jack nods at her "I'm sorry for your loss, how long do you plan on staying with The Doctor? I know you're only with him at the minute because of what's happening to The Doctor's timeline" Kathy nods "at first, I only wanted to stay until it was all sorted, but I've found that staying with The Doctor, I can finally just forget everything that has happened back at home, with Alex" Jack nods at her "sometimes it's better to mourn than hide it away because it will catch up with you eventually" Kathy stares at Jack and she nods "but right now! I want to forget".

The two of them then stop as they see the Tardis up ahead.

Jack then smiles "here we go, finally something good happens".

Back in the church, The 14th Doctor runs down the aisle and past The Unknown and The 12th Doctor.

The 14th Doctor runs over to the doors.

The 14th Doctor then takes a final look, and as he looks at The 12th Doctor, he watches as his body starts to fade away.

The Unknown then opens its eyes as The 12th Doctor is gone.

The Unknown growls at The 14th Doctor and starts charging towards him.

Running outside, The 14th Doctor then says "alright, think! Think! What to do".

The Unknown steps outside and says "no escape Doctor, you can't escape from me, none of you ever will escape, no matter where you go, I will find you...I will feast on you-".

The Doctor then hears the sound of the Tardis materialising. The Doctor smiles "oh, I don't think you will".

The Unknown watches as the Tardis materialises onto The Doctor.

The Unknown shouts "NO!".

Inside the Tardis, The Doctor then smiles at Jack and Kathy inside the console room of his Tardis.

The Doctor runs over to the lever and he pulls it, causing the Tardis to dematerialise.

The Tardis flies through the Vortex.

Inside the console room, The Doctor then says "he was feasted on, by The Unknown...he was removed" Jack then says "but I can remember him?" The Doctor nods "being in the Tardis, she kept you safe, you'll all remember, so will I...but for now, he's gone" Kathy looks at The Doctor and she says "so how are we going to stop it?" The Doctor then says "with a lot of help" Kathy nods at him "from who?" The Doctor then says "the only way possible to take down a Timelord" Jack stares at The Doctor "which is how?" The Doctor then says "with the help of other Timelords" Jack shakes his head "what do you mean?" The Doctor looks at Jack and says "you need to go back home, I can't have you with me, the more people I have with me, the more I have to worry, as I've said, nobody is safe when The Unknown is around...Kathy has to stay as she is in danger on Earth, but Jack...I'll come find you when it's over" Jack then says "but I can help, you know that you need this good looking face helping you" The Doctor nods "I might, but I can't" Jack then sighs "fine".

The Doctor nods at Jack "I'll see you again, soon" Jack nods at him "you better do".

Kathy smiles at Jack "it was nice to meet you" Jack smiles "you too Miss Yates".

Jack then presses his vortex manipulator and disappears from the console room.

The Doctor then looks at Kathy "in order to stop The Unknown, I need to try and get some help off of two old friends...but it's not going to be easy, what do you say?" Kathy nods at The Doctor "okay" The Doctor takes a deep breath and he says "I have a feeling, this isn't going to end well".
