1 ENCOUNTERED MY EX BOYFRIEND

Alarm rings ; I woke up . It's 6 in the morning . I see my thesis papers all over the floor . I forgot to close the windows . I can not believe my own stupidity . Shit.. I have to submit my thesis by today . It takes an hour to rearrange these papers , i murmered.

Suddenly my phone rings , it is a call from hospital . I received it in a hurry thinking it might be emergency but it was to inform that today I should attend seminar. He said that Senior Cardiothoracic Surgeon Doctor George was planned to attend but at last moment he decided no to go but to perform emergency surgery and it consumes hours . He is busy so you must go , I was ordered . Before I could utter a word phone call ended.

Aghh!! I am gonna be late ,I murmered . I felt headache... I tried to calm myself down . I took a deep breath and ran towards my bathroom . I took a quick shower , brushed my teeth , dried my hair and hurriedly had a light breakfast . Usually I drive by myself but I called a driver for today . I should dress well so I wore my baby pink suit pant with white blouse heels on and as I was heading towards door I remembered my thesis papers . I collected and arranged them on my way to the hospital . I reached hospital on time . I asked driver to wait for an hour. I called a Resident Doctor Aman for help and requested him to go through papers to see if it it has been arranged properly or not and then submit the thesis to the Chief Doctor . He nodded and said sure I will . As he was turning to head back he asked me , `` Have you forgot to put makeup ?? .

I turned my head to face mirror and I saw didn' t even put lipstick . I smirked and thanked him . I asked him to bring me a laptop and he went back to his department .

I searched for makeup inside the drawers and luckily I found some of them . I did my makeup made a low puffy ponytail and called driver requesting him to be at exit . I went to ask about seminar and powerpoint . Cheif Doctor handed me an USB and Doctor Aman brought me a laptop. I thanked them , took my laptop and rushed toward the car . I told my driver about location as well I must reach there by 9 : 45 .

While he was driving I connected USB to my laptop and opened pdf file to prepare for presentation . I flicked through it .

Topic for seminar was Pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs).

I have to give prensentation on this topic for the seminar and it was right after opening ceremony . I didn't have much time to read througly . We were about to reach , I superficially touched up my makeup .

While I was walkimg to the building , I encountered many similar faces . I greeted all of them and as I turned to the right , I saw a glimpse of Doctor Viaan , my ex boyfriend . Suddenly a random flashback brought thousands of painful memories which broke my heart once again .

He was having chat with the well known Doctors , two of them were once close with me too . It has been four years since I saw them .

I was lost in my memories when I heard my name, one of them called me . Oh shit.. Why did he need to call me ?? , I murmered. I was little nervous , I was seeing my ex after 4 years . I did not wanted to go there but I can't ignore them just beacause of my personal issues with Doctor Viaan . They were once my accquintances . I moved forward and greeted them with a warm smile . We were having a talk , after a while I realised my ex was staring at me . In the meantime we heard an anouncement . We were informed to enter hall and have our seats. Seminar is begin soon , I felt some sort of relief. I hastened to the conference hall.

I sat in third chair of second row and when I turned to adjust myself , I saw him sitting beside me . Such a fu***g day , I whined in a low tone . I looked around and noticed that every chair was reserved .

I sighed...

Seminar started , I was called to the stage . It went well . Afters hours when seminar was about to end , I decided to headback to the hospital .

I took out my phone to call driver and I saw a message from a driver . It was written , `` I had to go back to the hospital so I have parked you car in parking area and left keys in the reception . My sincere apologies Doctor Avni ".

I went to the reception and asked about car key . She handed me a key and walked to the parking area . I was about to reach there but someone grabbed my waist from behind and pulled closer to him. That was my ex boyfriend .

We were too close . I could feel his heartbeat , breathe and his muscles . He eyes seemed lustful when he looked all over my body . He reached my lips and within seconds our lips met . I closed my eyes , I could feel warmth underneath my mouth . Our tongues were flirting and I lost selfcontrol for a while .

I heard footsteps and a woman voice , ` Honey... are you there ? I came back to my senses , this isn't right . No I shouldnot be doing this , he is already engaged and woman who was calling him is Doctor Emma , his fiancée then I pushed him back and ran towards my car .

As I drove my car , I was totally blank . I felt like I was kind of hypnotised and trapped within my memories . I didn't  knew that which direction I was driving until my car suddenly stopped . I got out from the car to see why it has stopped . My car smoking under the hood . I panicked . I didnt know what to do .

I was about to call my bestfriend Doctor Tia when I saw a car coming from the same direction and stopped behind my car  . A man come out from the car and it truns out to be my Ex boyfriend . What the hell ! Was he following me all the way here ...?

`` Why were you following me ? What happened earlier was a mistake " , I said .

You rushed hastily , I knew something like this gonna happen so I followed you , he replied . We were together for 3 years so it is obvious to know me well . We used to talk about our future , babies and all . All of sudden I felt pain as if his memories stabbed pain in my heart . I took 6 steps away from him , I controlled myself and my emotions which were about to brust through the tears . He saw a car's condition , called my insurance company and hung up.

He insisted to drive me home . I waited and thought for a while , it was getting dark and no cars passed through so I had to follow him . I asked him about his fiancée beacause I was worried about her as he came here alone .

`` I told her to take a cab and go home firs , I will be there after sorting out some works " , he replied .

I stared him for a while. Several questions arose on my mind , I wanted to ask him , if he ever loved me or not ? , I wanted to hear the reason behind cheating me but I never dared to ask beacuse I did not wanted to trust his lies anymore . I didnot wanted to hurt myself again.

You should give up on people who are not trustworthy and loyal .There was a silence between us on the way to my home .

I was lost in my thoughts when he said we reached .  I thanked him and moved to the building .

After a moment he called me from behind and asked if we could go for coffee tomorrow . I instantly denied and kept on walking . He must be disappointed .

I went to bed as soon as I entered the apartment . I was so exhausted and tired that I fell asleep within a second....
