Something Big
With a sigh, Megan crashed on her bed.
She had quite a lot to think about.
Firstly, all of her squad had reincarnated, but at different times.
Such that, Reyanolda, who she was ten years older than, was now twelve years older than her.
Greeny, who had been older than her by a few years, was now her age mate.
And Major, might have played a role in their deaths at the Binon incident.
"It's all so complicated!, Why the hell does it have to be so complicated?!!"
Megan then glanced at the electronic watch-like device.
She had been doing so habitually for the past few weeks, hoping that by some strange miracle, she would awaken her other cores.
You see, all Awakened humans had a set number of cores from birth.
It was the final limit to how powerful one could get.
A person with two cores only and had Awakened both, would be vastly more powerful than someone with ten cores who had only Awakened one.
However, the watch stayed the same.
Not even increasing her core number by one.

And she still had not gained enough power to even Awaken one.
The next day, Megan had gone over to class as usual.
She expected to be ignored, not talked about, and forgotten, like she had gotten used to.
Instead, a teenage girl with deep black hair rushed over to her.
"Megan Morgan?!"
Megan was suprised.
She had not done anything remarkable yet.
"Uh, yeah? What is it?"
The girl held out her hand.
"I'm Raven Rowena. Sixteen years old.
I'm a sharpshooter...or at least training to be one, and I want you to teach me your skills.
I was in the training hall yesterday, and I saw you use that gun like a pro!"
Megan's heart skipped a beat.
"Y-You were at the hall yesterday?"
Raven brushed her raven black hair from her face, she had a rather large scar on her fore head.
"Yup, but I got injured and left early.
But late enough to see the magic you can do with a gun!"
Megan could finally calm down a bit.
'She didn't hear anything'
"Look, Raven. I have things I'm busy with, alright?
I don't have time to te...."
"Please?!"
"No. I don't have ti..."
"Pretty please?!"
"Raven!, I don't ha..."
"Pretty please with a cherry on top?!"
Raven then pulled the cutest puppy dog eyes she could.
Megan tried to resist, but she always had a soft spot for cute children.
Even if, in this case, Raven was her age, Megan still had the mind of a twenty five year old Awakened Captain.
With a groan, Megan sighed.
"Oh, alright. Meet me at the roof top by eight.
You miss a day, then it's over.
Understand?"
Raven made an amusing salute.
"Aye, Captain!"

The class, was uneventful for Megan.
But at least she had gained something.
No, it was not knowledge.
She had that already,
(and on the field experience to match)
Instead, she had found another one of her squad.
Raven, the black haired woman who the general had put in her squad.
On her note book, she could finally check down another name.

3. Greeny √
4. Major √
5. Raven √
6. Hayley. ?
"Now I just have to find out what exactly had made us reincarnate seventy years into the future, with different power levels from our past selves.
Maybe I'll also learn why I only have one core.
And probably why Greeny, Ja and Raven don't remember their past lives."
Megan soon redressed, and got to the roof top fairly quickly.
Her black hair had been tied up into a long ponytail, and her red eyes gleamed in excitement.
It had been long since she had a chance to handle a gun or kill an Unfriendly.
"You came!!!"
Raven's voice called out from the darkness with childish glee.
"I almost thought I would have to wait until tomorrow."
Megan smiled at her conviction.
"Your enthusiasm is really infectious.
Anyways, pick up your Test pistol and take a shot at that pole.
I need to test out your aim."
A Test pistol was a special type of gun invented for practice and practice only.
It had rubber bullets which would only cause slight pain, and would not even harm a one core Awakened.
Raven shot a few rounds at the pole, and missed horrendously.
Her aim was so bad that Megan was left with her mouth hanging open.
"How can anyone's aim be so horrible?!
I think I have my work already cut out for me"

For the next few weeks, Megan had continued to gather information and soon, she had gotten a general picture of the condition of the present world.
The War had ended about sixty nine years ago, just one year after her death.
All Unfriendlies had seemingly surrendered and left the planet.
Everyone was an Awakened.
And someone had covered up the exact story of the Binon incident.
They did not want the fact that an Unfriendly Demon had appeared at the Binon ruins.
She had continued to teach shooting to Raven, work out with Ja, and spar with Greeny.
She had also kept in touch with Reyanolda, who gave her valuable information about the Awakened Forces, and her older sister, Jade, had become an Awakened general.
She now had ties within the highest tiers of the Awakened Force.
From what she knew, Movements had been recorded in the Earth's outer surroundings and people speculate that the Unfriendlies were planning something.
Something really, really big.
Megan herself knew that the war would never end.
Not until one race had been completely obliterated.
And if she did not get strong enough when that time comes, then she would probably have to be reincarnated once again.
And that time, she might not be so lucky to come out after the war had ended.
The year would soon end, and then the annual Students Championship would begin.
A perfect place for her to fight strong people and get stronger herself.
