Chapter 5: Adventure Begins

As we are falling to the ground the I kept thinking of the way to survive this fall.

"Sato: Does that God has lost her mind, what do she think of letting us to fall to the ground like this?"

I can't focus to think because of the wind kept rushing to my face. While I try to keep my eyes open, I saw glimpse of green light that gently getting brighter from Arina's hand.

Our fall start to slow, and I saw Arina hands were glow in greenish colour. As we are slowly descended to the ground, my body was upside down and as a result my face landed to the ground first. We have landed in a forest. I ask Arina about what was that thing on her hand.

"Sato: What was that glowing thing on your hand?"

"Arina: Actually, neither do I know, what is this thing, I just do what have Faultier told us to 'Wish the thing you most wanted while holding this crystal in your hand' and my wish was to keep us safe."

"Sato: Hmm... Alright this is the part where we go on our own way."

"Arina: What!?! you just gonna leave me alone in this forest on my own?"

"Sato: Just like I said, see you then..."

As I was about to leave I heard a rustling sound in the bushes beside Arina, and A gooey creature slowly came out from the bushes. Arina ran towards me and hid behind my back. I take another quick look at that gooey creature and it turn out to be a slime.

[Sato: I think this world is a real deal, first God, I saw a creature that's not from our original world. Wait a second, shouldn't I be more suprise about the God that I just met?. Heh... whatever, now how should I get rid of this slime. Typically, slime is the weakest creature literally in any story that I've read. Probably a normal punch would do.]

I punch that slime until it's flatten as the same as the ground. [+10 Exp] [Little Slime Defeated] Suddenly this message popped up infront of my eyes.

"Sato: Arina, can you see what is in front of me?"

"Arina: Umm... do you mean the slime that you just squashed?"

"Sato: No, I mean this floating words in front of my head" I point my finger towards the words that are floating in front of my head.

"Arina: No, I don't see anything, The only thing that I saw is your hand are all slimy, and please don't get near me. Here, take my handkerchief."

"Sato: Alright, thanks.[Hmm... I think im the only could see these, but does this thing can only be seen by it's own user only? Maybe I should ask Arina to kill monsters too.]"

After I wiped the gooey stuff on my hand using the handkerchief that Arina just gave to me, it slowly dissolve the handkerchief a few seconds later.

"Sato: Arina, about the handkerchief, it get dissolve by the gooey slimey stuff. I'm sorry."

"Arina: What? Oh no--, but that was favourite handkerchief that my mom gave me for my birthday last year."

Arina's eyes started to watery as she saw the only thing that left on my hand is only a small piece of the handkerchief that she just gave to me. I kept the last small piece of that handkerchief in my pocket.

"Sato: Please stop crying"

She continue to cry afterward.

"Sato: Fine, fine I'll let you follow me." I gave my handkerchief to her.

She wipe her eyes and stop crying. As soon as her mood were stable, we continue to explore forest to find the wat out. A few moments later two slimes appear in front of us, Arina's hand started to glow again and his face looks serious this time.

"Arina: Wind Blade! take that you useless creature, how could you dissolve my handkerchief like that!"

"Arina: Umm.. Sato, I think I just saw what you just ask me earlier. It's said I've killed two slime and I got 20 Exp"

"Sato: What?!? How did you just do that?.. Anyways, I think I've already got it, this world has a system that makes us level up, but how should we check our status. [Hmm... typically, every story that I've read, they just say 'Status Open' and the status appear right before their eyes. Probably I should try it too.]

"Sato: STATUS OPEN!!" While raising my hand at the air. After a seconds, literally nothing happen and Arina glares at me with a confused face.

"Arina: Why do you shout so suddenly?"

"Sato: I was trying to figure out on how to access the system"

"Arina: What does the system anyway, can you tell me the details of that system."

"Sato: Ok, the system typically contains, health point, mana, and other stats"

"Arina: Oh... does it contains skills and attributes too?"

"Sato: What? how did you know?"

"Arina: It was in front of me, all of the time. After I defeated those slime, I noticed that there's a tiny white line at the right end corner of my view, I try to touch it with my hand and this thing appear. It looks like I was better at this, I guess, hehe." She chuckle a bit with her smug face.

"Sato: Fine, whatever" As soon as she stopped teasing me, I noticed that what Arina told me was true, there's a small white line at the right end corner of my view. I try to touch it and suddenly my status appear right in front of me.

"Sato: What's up with this stats, how I'm gonna kill a God with this kind of stats, Faultier must have made a mistake for summoning me to kill Gods." A drop of tear came out from my eyes while I'm thinking about my bad luck in every situation that I've faced.

"Arina: What's up with you, are you crying."

"Sato: No, I'm not crying, there's something in my eyes. By the way, how about your status?" I quickly wiped my tears and change the topic.

"Arina: Oh, it's looks normal to me"

A drop of tears came out from my eyes again and I wiped it before Arina even notice.

"Sato: [Yeah I think it was true that I'm not the one destined to kill those Gods] Wow, those status was kind of great."

"Arina: What about you?"

"Sato: It's the about the same as you.. hehe" with my obvious poker face, her hand suddenly glows green and started to chant her wind blade towards me.

"Arina: Spit out the truth or I'll cut you in half"

"Sato: Alright, fine I'll speak, I'll speak! for good sake, stop blackmailing me with your magic" Her hand stop glowing and I told her my real stats.

"Arina: What? How will you kill Gods with those flimsy stats more over you don't even have any magic attribute not to say your attack doesn't match mine."

Another rustling sound appear again while we analyzing our status. The sound are a bit different from before, before this it's only the bush that's rustling. But now the sound of broken twigs are following the the rustling noises and suddenly a big black bear appear behind us.

"Arina: Wind Blade!" The bear only scratch a little by Arina's magic.

"Arina: What? it didn't work?"

"Sato: Arina-- Run!"

I threw a rock at that bear and drew his attention towards me. I ran towards different direction from Arina. But the caught me up and swipe his claw on the ground, it hit my legs and fall to the ground. I've tried to get up but my legs felt numb and bleed badly.

"Sato: Is this my end? huff.. it's okay Sato it's not my destiny anyways. But, I do hope to find my reason to exist in my next life."

I close my eyes as I was prepared to accept my death. Suddenly, a thought light up in my mind, the crystal.

"Sato: I have nothing to lose anyways"

I hold the crystal tightly in my hand and wish.

"Sato: I wish to kill Gods..."

Black-redish aura surrounded me, my minds gone blank, and a demon like figure appear in front of me.

"Demon: Do you wish to kill Gods?"

"Sato: Yes..."

A black grimoire slowly appear from a pool of red water like blood in front of me. I took the book wake up from my mind.

"Sato: Oh, it just a dream. Wait no, the grimoire that I just took is in my hand. Where is that bear that just about to end my life earlier? All of my injuries were healed?" My head was full of question.

Suddenly I heard a Arina voices repeatedly chant her Wind Blade. I quickly rush towards the scene, grab Arina hands and ran away from that bear. Arina look exhausted. The bear charge towards us. Arina can't move she has use to much magic. Only I was left to defend her. Without hesitation I hold the grimoire in front of me. but nothing happen.

"Sato: 'Go magic go', 'Attack', 'Abra Cadabra'. Still nothing?"

As the black bear was getting closer to us. I scream.

"Sato: Wind Blade!" A dark version of Arina's Wind Blade appear and cut the big black bear into half"

"Sato: What just happen?"
