Madman Eternus

Gin selected a good restaurant that provides private cabins to celebrate the successful completion of their first mission.

Cheers!

Gin, Yirene, Astro, and Hammer settled in a private cabin, loaded with a variety of dishes.

"Mm! The foods are tasty here, or is it my taste buds that became dull being in the wildlands these two days?" Hammer spoke.

"I think it's both. The foods are better here." Gin said, gobbling a slice of fried wild beast meat.

"Yirene, why did you destroy those drawings on that wall?" Gin asked, remembering Yirene's words.

"It's a sensitive topic that's why I didn't explain in front of others. The technique we discovered in that cave is not something that you guys fathom; Its value is beyond comparison."

"And also that Madman Eternus is a terrifying person who once stood at the peak of this world and he was also the president of Human Union 500 years ago."

"So, if others know we obtained the technique of Madman Eternus, you can imagine the consequences and what kind of bloodshed it will cause."

Hearing Yirene's words, Gin's expression also changed as he knows it's a pressing matter. A little slip, they may lose their lives.

He may be ignorant of other things, but he knows what kind of person is the president of the Human Union. The president is the most powerful human in the world possessing unimaginable strength and authority.

"Astro, if possible, memorize the technique and destroy the copy as soon as possible." Gin solemnly spoke.

"Yes, Brother Gin." Astro nodded understanding the situation.

"Did that technique has any name?" Yirene asked.

"Roaring Inferno of Heavens!" Astro was embarrassed as he finds the name of the technique is too arrogant.

"Oh! what a domineering name." Yirene didn't find it arrogant as the person who named it once stood at the peak of this world.

"So, what happened to him?" Gin asked, curious.

"I read it in a book, a battle took place between Madman Eternus and a powerful person. No one knows who won the battle. But, Madman Eternus disappeared after the battle and no one has ever seen him after that!"

"Even now some people fear when they hear his name! When he was the president of the Human Union, even some ancient families with a terrifying history have been afraid of him."

"He was a legend in the human continent, as he came from an ordinary background and reached the level of supreme in this world," Yirene revealed.

"Don't breath a word to anyone that you have his legacy, not even to your parents and close friends." Yirene solemnly stated, looking at Astro.

"Okay, no one aside from you guys will know about this!" Astro said.

"What about Emeera, Athusa, and Kildo?" Gin asked. Even though he believes they are trustworthy, you can't predict human nature.

"I will take care of that," Yirene said. Gin felt relieved hearing Yirene words.

"Sister Yirene, who's the current president of the Human Union?" Astro asked, curious.

"I don't know. I think no one knows! According to some rumors, the current generation president is said to be as strong as Madman Eternus but his identity is a mystery." Yirene said.

"I too heard about it from my father. The current generation president took the leadership role only a few years ago but within a year he was able to bring every power under his control." Hammer added.

"Powerful!" Gin commented. Even though he doesn't know about the power structure, bringing other powers under one's control is no easy feat.

"Gin, the martial academies of the Silver Mist region released entrance exam dates. We have to prepare for it." Hammer suddenly said.

"When?" Gin asked.

"At the end of this month. Only 15 days left." Hammer said.

"In the silver mist region, Skyfire Academy is the number one. Other academies can't hold a handle to it, so you guys better aim for number one." Yirene said.

"Us? Then, what about you?" Gin asked.

Yirene shook her head, "I will be leaving the Silver Mist Region in a few days."

"What?" Gin and Hammer exclaimed.

"Why?" Gin asked.

"You guys won't understand even if I tell you," Yirene spoke vaguely, clearly doesn't want to tell the reason.

"It's okay, we will meet again. With your strength joining Skyfire Academy is easy but don't set your sights on Silver mist region as it's only a backwater region."

"Furthermore, we can still chat and speak with our Communication bracelet," Yirene said.

After a while, they finished their meal and left the restaurant.

"Train well, you both. We will meet a day before the academy entrance examination starts." Gin said to Hammer and Astro.

"So, when are you leaving?" Gin asked Yirene.

"Next week," Yirene said.

"Tell me before you leave." Gin said while Yirene nodded. Soon, everyone parted and went their own way.

-

Gin reached his home at around 5 in the evening. "I am finally back home!"

After having a fresh shower, Gin sent Ranker Division the photos of Life-essence fruit which he wanted to sell. He got a reply from them stating: 'Mr. Gin, one of our manager will meet you tomorrow at your doorstep. You can discuss the details with him."

He also sent the details of their mission in the form of a report as every captain has to report what transpired in their mission.

After sending the report, Gin searched details about the Skyfire Academy and what type of examination they conduct.

He also looked for information's regarding the "Physique Enrichment' Stage. When he finally finished sorting out the details he needed, it was already 8 PM.

Having no time to cook, Gin decided to eat outside. There's a good store next street where he usually eats during school days.

The store was run by a married couple who are in mid-fifties; Gin affectionately calls them Aunt Hil and Uncle Leo.

Gin arrived at the store and saw the store was as busy as always. It was a small store capable of seating only six peoples. Even so, many peoples come as the food here is fresh and has good taste.

"Child Gin, come. I was worried that something happened to you as you didn't come these past few days." Aunt Hil invited Gin with concern and asked.

Gin's heart was warm as there are only a few peoples in this world who shows true care and concern for him. After his parent's disappearance, this middle-aged couple looked after him with care.

"Haha, I am good Aunty Hil. I was out of home these past few days that's why I couldn't come. Are you and Uncle Leo doing good?"

"Yes, we are doing well. What do you want to eat?" Aunt Hil asked.

"I will take one bowl of rice with curry, and one fried egg plate."

"Oh, Gin! when did you come?" Uncle Leo came out of the small kitchen on the back carrying dishes.

"Just now, Uncle Leo." Gin said.

"Wait a minute, I will get your orders." saying this, Leo went back to the kitchen.

"Aunt Hil, how's the business going?" Gin asked.

"Sigh, it was going well but the day before everything changed when the 'Redwolf Association' members came and asked for some money."

"You know about your Uncle Leo's personality well – he denied. A fight broke out! Since your uncle practiced martial arts in his younger days, he easily defeated and thrown them out."

"Even though they ran away, one of them said, 'they will come back with their leader'. I am concerned!" Aunt Hil revealed with tears welling up in her eyes.

"Redwolf Association? Why didn't you guys call an Enforcer?" Gin asked.

"I wanted to call them but Leo said Enforcers will only ask for more money. You know how they are, right?" Aunt Hil said.

Gin sighed as he knows very well about Enforcers. Even though they are paid to maintain law, they won't offend some criminal Associations like FireWolf as every criminal group will have a strong backer.

No one can completely eradicate evil, the same goes for these criminal associations, black markets, slave traders, murderers, etc.

Gin knows these very well but he can't just leave listening to Aunt Hil's worries. If it was someone else, then he won't care but not towards this couple.

"Don't worry, Aunt Hil, I am here. If they come, I will deal with them." Gin comforted.

"What? No! I was just wanted to tell someone about the problems. Child Gin, don't do something stupid. Have your meal and go home." Aunt Hil waved her hand.

Gin didn't say anything, he had his meal and waited while helping the couple with bringing food to the customers.

He wasn't least bit worried about the members of the Redwolf Association appearing here.

"Child Gin, go home. I don't need any help." Aunt Hil sharply rebuked.

At that moment, a raging voice trailed over, "Who hurt my comrades? Come out!"

"What? Oh no, they really came." Aunt Hil got panicked. She looked at Gin and ordered him to leave using her eyes.
