16 Chapter 16: Returning home and telling the good news (2)

Lucius and the others turned around toward the source of the sound. They saw the doors that were originally tightly shut were now widely opened.

"We can leave now. Finally, I will be able to meet Mom, Dad, and Teacher Aaron soon and then let them know of the good news.

I must also analyze my abilities after I get out of here" Lucius mumbled under his breath.

Some students had started to walk away, the moment they saw the doors being opened as they chatted among themselves.

"I shall also take my leave" Lucius mumbled.

Just as he was about to leave, a voice resounded through his ears. He knew whose voice it was.

"Lucius, let's go to your home, I have an important thing that I want to talk about with you" Zoe exclaimed.

"Zoe, can't you come to my home in a few days since I want to spend some time with my family?" Lucius replied, with a visible frown on his face.

"How dare you refuse Zoe's request!" Luca said it looked like he was ready to fight.

Zoe signaled him to stop causing a ruckus, and Luca quietly obeyed her.

"Why can't I come to your house today? It won't take more than 5 minutes to finish my work with you" Zoe replied, she sounded a little annoyed

Lucius frowned slightly when he heard her words.

"Hmm, I can't take her to my place today. It will be troublesome." Lucius mumbled under his breath.

There were two reasons that he didn't want her to come to his home today. The first being, he wanted to analyze his abilities before accepting any of her requests.

The second reason was that he genuinely wanted to spend time with his family. Lucius frowned heavily as he thought about how to convince her to come to his home later.

"OK I will come to your home two days later, I will come to the address that you have given me within two days.

If you dare to make me wait a single day, I will freeze you to death" Zoe exclaimed angrily, a slight killing intent could be felt from her voice.

Lucius became stunned by the drastic change in her attitude, he saw her walk towards the gate angrily. Lucius gulped his salvia in fear

"Well, I must not make her wait more than two days. I should now head home" Lucius mumbled under his breath.

Lucius also began to walk towards the gate right after Zoe, Xin, and Luca exited the room. He exited the room of oath under a minute

The moment Lucius exited the room of oath, the whispers of the students entered his ears.

"Hey, Zoe seemed very angry when she exited the room. Do you know the reason for it" A Divinity asked.

"I think Lucius has offended her," Another one said.

"I also agreed," Another one said.

Lucius, who was walking by the side, let out a sigh.

"Well, they got that right that I am responsible. However, what can I do if she acts like a spoiled brat? Regardless let me just quietly go home" Lucius thought to himself. He kept walking through the room, he soon exited the room and arrived in the wide hallway. The gleaming white floor and white walls appeared unchanged as he traversed through the area, just as he did a few hours ago.

He kept walking forward without any intention of stopping as he walked he kept looking around him. There were dozens of people around him.

Those who had failed looked at the Divine badge that Lucius was wearing with the envoy. However, Lucius ignored them as he kept looking around the place as he walked.

It looked like he was looking for someone.

"I guess Zoe and others have left the building by now" Lucius muttered under his breath as he walked.

Lucius shook his head.

"Forget it, let me quickly hurry home," Lucius thought to himself. Lucius kept walking for a few minutes. A few minutes later, he reached the end of the hallway.

There was a big gate leading outside which was opened widely. The door was golden in color, the sunlight falling on the gate made it shine brightly.

Lucius could see a crowd of people beyond the gate.

There were dozens of tall buildings in the distance. The floor outside was made up of little golden-colored tiles, lush bushes could also be seen around him.

Lucius was just a few cm away from exiting the gate.

He seemed to be in his thoughts as he stared outside.

"I couldn't have imagined that I would come out of the building as a Divinity," Lucius thought to himself. Lucius took a step outside, he looked around him, and he saw hundreds of students around him.

He kept walking through the crowd of students who were blocking his way, very soon. He had successfully moved away from the crowd of students.

He turned around and looked at the building where the Divinity exams were held.

The building was very tall, it was around 1 km tall, and it was made up of strong bricks that were black.

He turned his attention to the other building around him.

There were also dozens of tall buildings, the buildings were made up of dozens of mostly white, brown, and black bricks.

There were also small shops that were selling various items such as fruits, weapons, magical orbs, and potions.

"Let's get some sweets for everyone before I go home. Emma will surely get home once she sees these sweets." Lucius thought to himself. Emma was his little sister who was around 7 years old.

Lucius walked towards the food stall for a few minutes. He arrived in front of the food stall but there was a long line. Just as he was about to get into the line a voice resounded through his ears.

"You are Divinity, you don't have to stand in the line," A middle-aged woman said as she looked at the badge that Lucius was wearing.

Lucius just nodded his head and walked towards the shop, completely ignoring the line. However, no one said anything when they saw the badge that he was wearing.

He appeared in front of the shop, there were two people in the shop.

"How can I help you, esteem sir," A person said.

There were dozens of trays of food and the aroma of food reached his nose.

"Pack that.." Lucius ordered the dishes that he wanted to buy

The shopkeeper nodded his head as he started to pack the food. A few minutes later, the shopkeeper handed him the bag of food.

"That will be 8 gold coins," The shopkeeper said as he handed the food.

Lucius nodded his head and handed him 8 gold coins.

"Thanks for your service," Lucius said to the shopkeeper.

The shopkeeper politely nodded his head. Lucius walked away from the shop with a bag of food in his hand.

"Let's return home and give them the good news," Lucius remarked with a smile on his face.

He began to navigate through the busy streets of the kingdom, they were mostly people in the streets.

Sometimes, he would see guards patrolling the kingdom by raiding on horses or a carriage but it was a rare sight.

He kept walking for the next hour.

An hour later.

Lucius was standing in front of a small house that was made up of weak bricks. The house was in the middle of two tall buildings. The bricks were mostly black, there were a few holes in the walls but it wasn't too serious.

There weren't too many people around him, only around dozens. There was some crater in the ground.y

"I am home" Lucius exclaimed as he looked at the house.

The small house that Lucius was standing in front of was his home. Lucius took a deep breath and walked towards his home. Just as he was walking, the sound of the door opening resounded through the entire place.

A middle-aged man walked away from it. The middle-aged man had a rough face that was quite handsome. He was around 5 feet 11 inches tall. Some of his hair had turned white.

A powerful aura was being emitted from his body that caused Lucius to have the urge to bow

"Teacher Aaron" Lucius mumbled as tears were threatening to fall from his eyes.

The middle-aged man spotted Lucius, and he quickly suppressed the aura that was coming from his body.

"I see Lucius, you are already back. You don't look sad, which is good since you can just try next..." Aaron stopped talking when he saw the badge that Lucius was wearing.

He had to look at it several times to make sure that he wasn't daydreaming. After confirming it, again and again, he was sure that this was reality.

"You have become a Divinity!! Good job Lucius, I knew that you would be able to do it" Aaron exclaimed, a look of disbelief on his face.

He was also smiling at the same time.

Lucius nodded his head as tears streamed down from his face.

"Yes I have become a Divinity" Lucius replied with a smile on his face.
