Smart zombie

The apocalypse began two days ago and the atmosphere seemed much calmer than the first day.

Calm down doesn't mean that there aren't a multitude of zombies trying to eat you or that the streets weren't littered with and torn limbs - in fact, they were.

Calm means that screams of terror could no longer be heard in the far distance and that the zombies were no longer running frantically everywhere, now the zombies were walking at a slow pace without any particular direction, waiting for a living creature to approach them to eat them and enjoy their vital essence.

When Adriel started to walk away from the store, a multitude of zombies noticed him and headed towards him, their rotting bodies and dull eyes creating an image that would make small children and even many adults cry with fear.

Adriel stopped, not because he would take zombies seriously, they were so weak to his current me that he could destroy them with a single thought.

The reason he stopped was that there were some things he wanted to try, and these undead are the perfect experimental subjects.

With a thought, he used [Universal Control] to control the particulate particles in the zombies' surroundings, he slowly made them congregate around him, increasing the density of the air.

With the increase in the density of the air, the zombies gradually slowed down until, when they were a few meters from Adriel, they remained static in place, unable to move a single muscle.

Quite satisfied with the result of his experiment, Adriel went on to try to control the zombie heads so that they exploded into pieces.

He wanted them to explode instantly, but to his surprise, it took a second for the undead skulls to explode.

"Poom!"

With the explosion, chunks of skulls and rotten brain material spread across the ground as the zombies' bodies fell to the ground, their rotting bodies going completely still.

A moment later, a bit of essence left the body of each zombie and entered Adriel's body, the amount of essence was insignificant for the current Adriel, but it was better than nothing.

He looked for another group of zombies to continue experimenting, not a minute passed until he found another group, this time it was a smaller group of zombies, seven zombies hanging out in a small alley without anything special or noteworthy.

He prepared to experience [Universal Control] again when six of the zombies realized his existence and started running towards him with the typical slow zombie pace.

Adriel was not in the least impressed by the scene of the undead that intended to devour him, instead, his gaze went to the only zombie that had lagged behind the rest of the group.

Compared to the rest of the zombies Adriel has encountered, this zombie's body looked a little less rotten, his skin seemed a little more human and his eyes weren't completely dull, there was a faint flash of intelligence shining through. Those red eyes, although very faint, were present.

This zombie just watched him while the other zombies were heading towards him, he seemed to be waiting for his companions to tear him to pieces.

"Oh, has it already started?" Adriel ignored the undead who wanted to devour him, completely focusing his attention on this zombie who clearly showed slight signs of intelligence.

He controlled the airborne particles, this time with more power, to paralyze the zombies, including the smart one, on the spot.

He made the skulls of normal zombies explode and headed towards that smart as his body absorbed the essence that arose from the deaths.

The last zombie was struggling desperately, trying to move, but to no avail, the surrounding air is simply so much that a being of his level cannot get through.

When he was within two meters of the creature, he used detection on it.

"As I feared"

Although this being looked like an ant compared to him, he had an essence rank!

This was quite an impressive thing, you know, he was able to have an A + essence rank right away thanks to his ridiculous talent, but this creature didn't have that advantage, so getting an essence grade in just three days is actually something very admirable. And it showed that his talent was very high and, he had the enormous luck of being exposed to something of concentrated essence while he was still alive.

Adriel looked at the zombie that was fighting in front of him, he wondered if he had not met him. Would this creature have morphed into some kind of zombie king, leading a horde of the undead all over Ásalos, when he terrorized every living being?

Shaking his head, Adriel stopped thinking about it, with a thought, the zombie's head exploded and his body fell to the ground.

Adriel turned and left the alley, there are many things he wanted to do and many goals to accomplish, he couldn't wait to start.
