2 Insane Luck!

"Let's go boys, he's not here!" The bandit leader shouted, commanding everyone to retreat.

"Whew... They are finally gone." Daniel heaved a sigh of relief as soon as he saw the bandits retreat.

"I've to be careful on my way back to the city." He was well aware that the bandits had many connections around the city.

"Alright! Let's go, little fox!" He hadn't named the fox but could always do it later, so there was no rush.

"Nya!" The fox jumped on his shoulder and made a cute sound.

"Aww... It is so cute!" Daniel couldn't resist his urge to kiss the little fox on the cheek.

"Let's go now." He started walking through the forest. He was currently in the deepest parts, so he had a long way to go.

***

After 30 minutes, Daniel finally made it to the city entrance. He was wearing a black mask to hide his face. He was aware of the fact that the bandits had a bunch of connections around the city, and they

He hid the little fox inside his coat because he didn't want anyone to notice a divine being's presence, especially those top-tier magician NPCs.

"Hold on for a while, lil fox. I will let you out once we're safe." He went through the large gate and entered the city.

As soon as he stepped inside, large, crowded streets came into sight. Large, crowded streets came into sight, revealing beautifully constructed houses and shops everywhere.

Trees and flowers of different types were planted everywhere, giving a different level of charm to the city of Greenwood.

Daniel straight up went to a well-known inn, "The Magic Wood" and rented a room for 10 days.

He barely had enough money for it, but he was sure about earning much more in the coming days.

"Ahh, this is not a bad room for 20 gold coins per day." He looked around, and it was quite decent. It wasn't really fancy or something, but it was enough for him.

"Okay, lil fox, you can come out now." He let the little fox out and played around, as he was now in a safe place.

"Let's check the titles now." He suddenly remembered about the titles he had achieved after receiving the gift from the Goddess.

[First witness of a goddess: the first mortal to ever witness a goddess in her true avatar. The churches will be more favorable to you. All stats + 50]

[Luck's blessed one: the first person to be directly blessed by the Goddess of Luck. The chances of getting a higher rarity increase by half. +30 to all stats, + 100 to Divine Luck stat.]

[Luck's Benefactor: Greatly helped the Goddess of Luck. You will be favored by luck forever. + 30 to all stats, + 100 to Divine Luck stat.]

[Divine being's owner: the first owner of a divine being. All pets under command will level up 2 times faster and will be loyal to you only. + 30 to all stats, + 100 to intelligence. ]

After reading all the descriptions of the titles, Daniel was flabbergasted.

"No way!! These are simply overpowered! This is like a cheat!" He felt like he was in a dream. Such buffs were insane! Not even the top titles achieved so far could provide such buffs, but these titles were insanely overpowered.

It was common knowledge that every player only gains 5 stat points per level, but Daniel had +140 to all stats because of his titles, and the Divine Luck stat had +200 to it as well as the intelligence stat had +100 to it. It was a total cheat, no one could get such buffs even with high-level equipment and titles.

"I can see a bright future ahead." Daniel was really excited to test out his new powers and abilities. His level was 80 but his stats were those of a level 108 player now. He could hunt even higher-level monsters with his new strength.

"I can't wait for later, let's go out now..." He was excited to test his strength against higher-level monsters.

"But before that..." He opened his inventory and took out a golden treasure chest.

"Little fox, can ya bless me with luck?" He said it for fun, but the little fox actually did something that made him glow.

"Ahh, maybe this is a skill?" He found out that it was a skill of the little fox.

"Okay, nothing could go wrong now. Let's try opening it and hope for the best!" He closed his eyes and pressed open.

The chest glowed brightly as its lid opened up.

[Congratulations! You have received a unique grade, 'Sword of the Slayer']

"..." Daniel kept his mouth shut for 2 minutes. He kept staring at the gigantic sword lying on the floor.

"This can't be..." He slightly touched the sword. "A unique grade... How could I get this?" He wondered if this was because of his Divine Luck stat or his pet's blessings.

"Maybe both?" But whatever it was, he was sure of one thing now. "Weapons with higher grades than Epic exist! And only I have a weapon above the Epic grade!" He very well knew that he could instantly sell it and make a hefty sum of money, but he wasn't dumb enough to miss on a chance to grow exponentially.

"Instead of selling this to others, I can try to level up at an overwhelming speed." He decided to keep the weapon to himself instead of just selling it. Moreover, there were many other reasons he didn't want to sell it. If he, a not-so-well-known user, tried to sell a unique-grade weapon, it would surely raise suspicions about him.

"Time to check the attributes." A screen suddenly appeared in front of him.

[Sword of Slayer]

[Grade: Unique]

[Requirement: None (blessing)]

[Atk Power: 800~1400]

[The sword of the famous monster Slayer of the Legends.]

"!" The details astonished Daniel.

"No requirement?! And on top of that, the attack power is monstrous!" He felt like the blessing of the goddess was a cheat. "It's not a bug, right?" He felt like laughing out loud. His luck was unparalleled. Who would've thought that giving a potion to a fox would lead to such fortune?

"Alright, Imma go hunt now! I am eager to test my new stats and sword." He went outside the city and entered the forest.

He had to be on guard, as the bandits could still be looking for him. He didn't want to get into trouble again.

He was standing outside a dungeon. He entered it and the gate behind him closed.

Dungeons were hunting grounds for the players to level up and earn a fortune by killing the boss.

Daniel was currently in the dungeon of Orcs. As soon as he walked in, he spotted a few green orcs.

He took out his sword as soon as the orcs noticed him. The orcs suddenly sprinted at him with killing intent.

"Hyah!" Daniel leaped into the air and slashed the chest of the orc at the front.

[You've slain an Orc, gained ... xp]

The orc dropped dead, and a notification panel popped up before Daniel's eyes.

"Ah... This power is insane!" He didn't expect to one-shot the orc.

The other orcs tried to grab his left foot, though Daniel managed to dodge their hands.

"Go away!" He kicked an orc in the chest and pushed it away.

"Hyah!" He then swung his sword and easily slashed through two of the orcs.

They instantly dropped dead on the ground, and a level-up message followed.

[Killed 2 orcs! You've leveled up!]

"Good grind!" He was happy with the results. Just killing three orcs leveled him up by 1.

"Imma hunt till I'm completely drained!" He swung his sword endlessly at the Orcs and soon, all of them dropped dead.

"Ahh, I leveled up 2 times!" He was now level 87 after hunting all the Orcs.

"Let's move on to the next stage." He was about to walk further inside, but he suddenly noticed that the little fox was not inside his coat anymore.

"Huh?! Where did she go?!" He looked around, only to find her lying comfortably in a corner.

"Ah! There you're! Don't go away like that." He patted her head and picked her up from the ground.

"Nyaa!" The fox made a cute sound, probably telling Daniel not to worry about her.

Daniel patted the dust off her fur and put her gently on his shoulder.

"Ah foxie! I also have to level you up right? Do you feel like you can fight?" Daniel wasn't sure if he should let the little fox fight or not.

"Nya!" The fox nodded her head. Daniel felt like she could understand what he was saying.

"Alright, if you think you can fight, I am no one to stop you." Daniel walked deeper into the dungeon and suddenly halted when he spotted a group of orc warriors.

"Foxie, be careful... These guys are far stronger than those at the start."

"H-huh?! Foxie?" Daniel panicked when he saw something unexpected.
