1 Chapter 1 Divine In vol 2

It was four am, Diane and Gabriel had just had an hour and a half of breath-taking, heart racing, and exhilarating sex. The guy had her in positions she didn't even know she could do, but his favorite was when she rides him, he absolutely loves that. She was currently lying on his chest listening to the steady beating of his heart as he sleeps. He had fallen asleep a little while ago but she was too pumped to sleep. She raised her head and look at him. The guy was beyond gorgeous.

He likes to wear his hair down his back but because he was now a Christian he had cut it to the nape of his neck. Just long enough so that he had a small bouncy ponytail when it was held back with a hairband. She smiles as she gently removes a lock of his hair from his face, she then leans on her hand and watched him sleep. They had been married for almost a year but she still couldn't believe that this guy was her husband. Laying her head on his chest again she let her mind drift back to her life before she met him.

The branch of her church in Montego Bay was having a weekly crusade; her group had arrived early so she went into the church and sat down. It was six-thirty pm and the service would begin at seven. So with nothing to do for the next half an hour she had begun reflecting back on her life. She had lost her mother when she was nineteen years old, then at twenty, she had moved in with her boyfriend of two years.

Then two and a half years later she got pregnant and then to her dismay, her boyfriend denied the child. He kept on telling her he wasn't the father and if he wasn't the father she didn't know who was, seeing as though he was the only guy she had ever been with., then as if denying the child wasn't enough to her utter dismay when she was four months pregnant she went to work one day and came home to find everything she owned outside in garbage bags, The only thing he said to her was that she should go blow her nose where she catches her cold.

At that point, she didn't know what she was going to do. So she called her sisters. They came, got her stuff, and her sister Doreen which was the second child of her mother took her home with her that night. She stayed with Doreen for a month but soon found herself going from one sister's house to another. Their lives weren't all that stable so she couldn't stay with one for too long. They all had husbands and boyfriends and children to think about and she didn't want to be a burden to them, but being their baby sister they wanted to help her as much as they could.

Their mother had lived in a rented house and after her death, Desreen which was the oldest took over the house along with her two daughters and her husband and began paying the rent. Diane was depressed throughout the rest of her pregnancy; she couldn't understand why Kevin dumped her and why he didn't want their child.

Diane was a day's work and she had worked right up to her eight-month. After her daughter was born she stayed with Desreen for one month and then on the second month she stayed with Doreen. Her other sisters Diana which was the third child for her mother and Dana which was the fourth both took turns babysitting for her when they weren't working. But because she couldn't work for two months she had lost two of her days work, but one lady had decided to wait for her so thanks be to God she still had one day work left.

The lady she was working with noticed how much she was struggling financially and extends her one day to two days which Diane was very grateful for. Four months after her daughter was born Diane christens her Jasmine Elizabeth Walker. Diane gave her daughter her last name. Two months later Diane got baptized at the same church that she had christened Jasmine.

One year later Dana had found her a small one-bedroom apartment in the same area that they were all currently living, so she was still close to her sisters. Desreen went to the Courts department store and took out a bed for her, Doreen took out a stove, Diana took out a fridge and Diane took out a dresser for herself. And with those, she moved into her apartment, and with her sisters checking up on her every chance they got she began rebuilding her life. Over the last four years, she had faced lots of struggles and difficulties but with the help of God she had made it through. She got more days work and with a steady income had manage to stay on top of her bills.

She was also able to support her daughter in school and buy food. Diane couldn't say that her life was easy but with the help of God she was determined to make a good life for her daughter and herself. Thinking about how badly Kevin had treated her keeps her away from all men. She hadn't been near a man since Kevin dumped her and if it was the will of God she was willing to return to him just the way she was.

Diane saw when he came through the door. He came and sat on the bench right in front of her, he didn't notice her of course, guys like him didn't notice girls like her, but she couldn't take her eyes off him. She knew the lady who was sitting beside him, her name was Miss Lisa, and Diane had met her last year when the lady had come to their crusade in Kingston. She had sat beside Diane and they had begun talking. Diane had told her of her situation and the lady had encouraged her not to give up.

Miss Lisa had also taken her number saying that she would call her if she heard of anything. Two weeks later Miss Lisa had called her back. She gave Diane the number of a lady who was seeking a day's worker. Diane went for an interview and had gotten the job. Diane then called back Miss Lisa and thank her for the job. So now whenever Miss Lisa heard of any work she would call Diane and tell her about it. Diane even got day's work for her sisters which they too were grateful for.

She still couldn't take her eyes off the guy beside Miss Lisa, he was gorgeous beyond words. There was another guy sitting beside him, he was cute also but nowhere as gorgeous as the one with blond hair. She knew a few ladies who would kill to have hair with as much volume as he had. He seems to be very uncomfortable during the service. She saw when Miss Lisa dragged him to the altar, for a while he just stood there but then the Holy Spirit brought him to his knees.

It was strange to see such a huge guy on his knees crying his eyes out and then to her surprise she realize he was about to be baptized. They took him outside and for a long while she just sat there. She then realizes she needed to use the bathroom, so she heads towards the restroom areas. She was heading back inside the church when Miss Lisa stop her and told her that her nephew had just gotten baptized and she was wondering if Diane could be his mentor and look out for him in case he needs someone to talk to. Miss Lisa had told her that her nephew had a friend who would like nothing more than to see him remain a sinner.

Diane had never met her nephew, but if Diane knew anything about guys, this man may not want anyone keeping an eye on him but she told Miss Lisa that she would do her best. A few minutes later the door of the changing room opened and to Diane's surprise, she came face to face with the guy she had been staring at all through the services.

Diane realized that staring at the back of his head was one thing but standing in front of him was quite another. His eyes were as blue as the sky on a clear sunny day and they seem to be looking right through her, but as gorgeous as he was Diane realized that it was Kevin's looks that draw her to him in the first place, so putting up that defense she had come to rely on so well she put out her hand for him to shake it as soon as Miss Lisa had introduced him to her.

But she wasn't ready for the surge of sexual current that ran through her as their hands touched; she hadn't felt that way in years, but knowing that there couldn't possibly be anything between them she quickly pushed the feelings aside. But as she sat in the bus on her way home that night she couldn't think of anything else but that guy. She had learned that his name was Gabriel, it was a very beautiful name and she was sure that she had said it at least a hundred times in her head since she heard it.

She knew she had promised Miss Lisa that she would be there for him if he needed someone to talk to but how in the world was she going to keep an intimidating guy like him from walking away from God if he chooses to. And even though he had taken her number, she really wasn't expecting to hear from him again.
