Yeying smiled "Are you sure?" Xianwu however still nodded. Yeying spoke, his voice dull "What if one day you can't stay here anymore. And it turns out that I turn against you as well. I stand on the left and you on the right. You see a side of me, a side you've never seen before and that side kills your beloved ones. At that moment, who would you choose them or me?" he asked. Xianwu stood shocked "Who… will I choose?" she thought.

"Yeying is a demon king. No matter how kind he is to me whatever happened in the Heavenly City the last time, clearly shows how much he despises them. I follow righteousness, if one day… I'm really told to leave his side, what will I do?" Xianwu stayed silent for a long time, more likely she had no answer for his question and her mind became blank. Yeying walked towards her standing by her side "Don't worry, milady. If you don't have an answer. Don't give, but think about it thoroughly and wisely. And Remember one thing… you were born for yourself, not for others. Thinking about yourself comes first." Xianwu pondered seriously.

"However," Yeying added. "In the meantime, if someone tries to steal what's mine or take what's mine away from my hands, then his life and the lives of people surrounding him would disappear into ashes… never seen and never existed!" Xianwu felt intimidated the instant he said those words. His murderous intent made her whole body shiver in fear. What Yeying had already said, sowed a seed of fear in her heart. "Ye-ying, you won't… do- th-at right?!" she stuttered. Yeying smirked at her. His gaze even unseen felt murderous and his voice fatal "Who knows? I might do, and you won't even get a glimpse of it!"

Xianwu's heart beat, a hundred times faster. Her mind turning blank. "Are you telling me…? I shouldn't come here anymore if I want to save those people who come after me?" she asked her voice shaking. Suddenly Yeying chuckled turning around he walked closer to her, but Xianwu stepped back in unknowingly. Yeying smiled his expression untold under his parasol.

"See? I asked you if you were sure." He smiled. Xianwu confused thought "What? Was he testing me?!" Yeying continued "Now do you get it? My true self, I was born in darkness, breed in darkness, I am darkness myself and my only light is darkness but, in that darkness there is a tiny fire which fulfils my hope of living… My lady, the right and the wrong walk on parallel paths, and there will surely be a time when we'll grow apart. Not now but maybe tomorrow… until then if you ever want to see me or go somewhere far leaving me. Grab that pendent, think of any place and escape!!" he advised.

Xianwu felt dizzy and her heart felt heavy. She asked panicking "Yeying, what's wrong? Why are you saying like that? Tell me if I did something wrong? Tell me if you don't like it when I go to the mortal world or the heavenly palace? Tell me I won't go! But, don't play with me by saying something like this!!" her voice echoed through the garden.

Since, Xianwu had left the mortal world today, all she did was listened to people mocking her which she never wanted to hear and cried to her fullest getting hurt from them. She had no strength left to do it anymore but, time felt like repeating itself and tears stood at the brink of her eyes, her eyelashes already turning moist and her vision turning blurry. Anger to the peak of unacceptance for everything that was changed in such a short amount of time. She didn't want to think anymore. She was here to be happy, and make him happy. She didn't want anything to pull them apart but here it was.

Yeying without turning around spoke calmly "You are a spirit born in the Demon world but seek the energy of Heavens to live. Demons despise heavens and defy there every rule but you are a creation who lives in the demon world but accepts each and every one of their rule. The wings at your back are the source of your life and you need Heavenly energy to live. However, the more Heavenly energy you collect, the more will the demons despise you and at the end you won't be able to live here anymore. The power of your purity will repel my impurity creating a disaster…"

Xianwu was thunderstruck. "What? Why didn't you tell me all of this before…?" her voice cracking. Yeying clutched his hand tightly on the parasol. Xianwu taking all her emotions in her body spoke up "Yeying long, listen to me carefully… I won't leave the Inferno city. Even if I die!" she argued. "My heavenly power is my problem. I was born to stand by your side. If in the end I have to stand against you, then what's the use of living? What's the use of being born again?! I don't think I defy the rules. I already died once. If I die once more with my will by my side and the person whom I am grateful to for the rest of my life. Then, living for a short time is all worth it!" Xianwu walked towards the Arcadia manor leaving Yeying behind.

Suddenly Yeying grabbed her arm "I refuse! You won't die. Not now not ever! You'll live! And that's an order!" Xianwu in anger refused "No! I don't want to!! Let me go!" Yeying letting her go opened a big portal. His expression unseen. Behind Xianwu a blank black hole like space opened.

Xianwu felt herself being sucked in like wind. "Stop! Don't do it! I won't leave! Please! Don't do it! I beg you!" she cried. Suddenly many moonlit nightingales surrounded her as Yeying smiled. "Milady… no need to cry. You already cried a lot today. Even if you don't come here anymore. Yeying Long, swears from the bottom of his heart, he watches over you, he has always watched over you and will forever watch over you…" Xianwu stared at him dumbfounded, her tears into a halt. He continued "If you need me think once, I'll come twice. No! A hundred times. If you want me to come call once, I'll come a hundred times! No! Even more than that. But, live! So bravely, so courageously that the one in front of you thinks in awe."

Xianwu was at a loss of her words. There was a portal behind her which was about to teleport her to God knows where. And, in front of her was a person who asked her continuously to live, when she was contented to die. Xianwu felt as if she betrayed him unknowingly as her lips parted "I'm sorry… and thank you!" Yeying looked at her, his expression widened. "That's more I like it!" he complimented with a smile.

Xianwu was flying in midair and being sucked in the void right behind her as she asked one last question "Yeying long, did you regret meeting me?" her smile brighter than the chandeliers around the Eden. "Meeting you… was my one and only happiness. Milady, time passes by and the leaves wither, people meet and depart. Our separation is only temporary. We will meet again!" Xianwu gleamed with a nod. She gently touched his long black hairs, her hands touched his crescent crown and the back of his head, earnestly pulling him into a hug.

She whispered "In the mortal world I made a friend and I told that person. He was my best friend. But here in the Demon world, I made another friend. So I'll honestly tell this person too that he is also my best friend and no matter what the world says about him, he'll forever be my best friend! Thank you… You know you give a scent of the flowering crabapple trees which stands in front of my little cottage." She let go of him and as soon as she said those words. She found herself sucked into the portal and her world going black.
