(Part 6)

The human eating corpses kept approaching them until they reached at the other side of it. The sun had already rose and the silent city was right in front of their eyes. Just with the fight from the human eating corpses six of the tribesmen also fell off from the bridge. Hongqi's expression and anger was seen vividly. The tribesmen whom they had walked together with had a sudden change of expression on their faces.

Some guilty, some hurt and some immensely angry and that included Hongqi too. Xianwu with the other three walked behind them none uttering a single word. The fog seemed to clear up. The silent city in front of their eyes was huge but barren.

It was a land clearly in ruins. Not even a single life seemed to appear near it. The bridge ended at last. Xianwu with the other three hopped off. They stood in front of it. Looking behind they saw Hongqi and the others staring below the cliff. A sudden sadness took over Xianwu.

The sun had already rose up but the fog has always stayed at the pit of the bridge. None even can see through it, even if it's day or night. Xianwu walked towards him "Leader Zhong, I deeply sorry for your loss…" she consoled him wholeheartedly. "We lost them in front of our eyes…" he complained "They were asking for our help but we couldn't even give them that…" he continued. His expression was hidden under his hairs and he gripped his sword harder. He suddenly gritted his teeth in anger "It's all their fault!" he hissed.

Xianwu who kept looking didn't dare to say a single word. After all, she had already faced it. The pain of losing something important. Losing the people who believed and trusted you. Xianwu stepped back as she spoke up "Leader Zhong… I'll leave you here and head towards the kingdom.

The time you find yourself being able to move on… you can search the areas you wanted to." She excused herself. In fact, even she too had no words to console him with. With Senlin and Shijei she walked towards the kingdom.

"Lady Xianwu!" Hongqi called. Xianwu turned around to face him. Standing with his back in front of her he requested "When you successfully find the herb, let's meet here again…" Xianwu gazing at Xiao yin replied "Alright…" Leaving Hongqi behind, they made their way towards the kingdom. Xianwu asked walking ahead "Senlin, there are so many buildings around here. Where is the kingdom?"

Xiao yin who stood over a long rock gazed while he spoke "There was a tradition in the silent city. The buildings were made due to hierarchy. The slaves lived in huts, the merchants lived in one storey buildings, and the nobles lived in 2-3 storey buildings. So for the kingdom of this city, it will be eventually be the highest building and there it is!" he called pointing at the longest barren walls.

Senlin looked at Xianwu slightly annoyed. "Why do you even need us?" she asked frustrated. However Xianwu had too replied on her face without even noticing herself "I didn't think I needed you. You came to me on your own…" She corrected. Shijei looked at Senlin who had turned around in embarrassment. He couldn't help but laugh secretly. "Then, let's go to over there." She said.

Fa ling stood up outside her hat and stretched himself. "Good morning, Fa ling." Xianwu greeted with a smile. He instantly wrapped himself around her hugging her tightly. "Alright, alright. If you do like that, I won't be able breathe." She patted him gently. Fa ling retracted himself and caressed her cheek. He looked at Xiao yin rushing towards him and surrounding himself over his neck. Xianwu chuckled at the sight.

Xiao yin smiled gently patting him back. "You really have been inside for a long while..." he said. Senlin and Shijei stood behind them as they coughed in between causing an interruption. Xianwu looked at them while Xiao yin clicked his tongue in annoyance.

Shijei looked at Xianwu as he coughed "And… for how long will the two of you stay like that?" he asked pointing his finger on the red ribbon which were tied on both of their wrists.

Xianwu was surprised "Why haven't I untied it yet?!" she thought awkwardly. Immediately, untying the knot around her wrist. Xiao yin glaring at Shijei turned away pulling Xianwu behind him. "Wait, Xiao yin, let me untie it first." She said.

However, Xiao yin sauntered even faster leaving her unable to peacefully untie the ribbon. In the end, after running they found themselves standing in front of the kingdom walls. "It's huge…" Xianwu gasped. Senlin taunted "It's a castle. Of course, it's going to be huge." Xianwu laughed awkwardly.

"But if it's this huge… then that's a problem. How are we going to find the herb in this less time?" Xiao yin questioned. Xianwu pondered "It's true… if the kingdom is that large. We would obviously have difficulty in finding it. However…" "How about we split up?" she proposed.

"Huh?!" Senlin and Shijei asked together. Xianwu continued "We can move in a group of two. I and Xiao yin can search from this side and you and Senlin can search from that side." She said pointing towards right and left.

Shijei slammed his hand on his forehead. He eyed Xianwu with a cross expression. Instantly, he pulled Xianwu's arm and took her further away from Xiao yin. "Do you trust that brat that much?!" he yelped in anger. Xianwu blinked her eyes incomprehensibly. "Xiao yin?" she asked again. "Of course, who else am I talking about rather than that rascal!" he snapped.

Xianwu sighed. "He may be a rascal in your eyes but right now he is my best friend and my only companion. I trust him more than I trust anyone here even myself. You might not like him, but I don't share the same view as you." She cleared herself walking back.

Shijei's expression went stiff but he may not even have any words to say to her. Xianwu glanced from the corner of her eye. "I'm sorry… Our friendship of the past is too heavy for me to bear now…" she reflected. The two of them went back.

Xianwu spoke up again. "Just like I suggested we should look for the herb in groups of two before night hits." Xianwu and Xiao yin looked around for a passageway. Shijei stood behind Senlin. "So, did you change her mind?" she joked with a laugh. Shijei remained silent making her turn around to grasp a look at him. Senlin stood dumbfounded.

Shijei's hands were clenched hard, his teeth gritted in remorse and his expression was regretful… regretful to the point where his eyes went lucid and his nose red. Angrily he turned round and fumed "Let's go! i don't care anymore!!" Senlin looked at him with a sigh. "What did she say now?" she asked. Shijei turned around "She didn't say anything! That's the problem!" he roared. Senlin sighed heavily.
