When all hell broke loose….. Literally all hell broke loose.

Ariel with his newfound strength and focus, tirelessly slayed one nightmare creature after another like a hunter slaughtering its prey mercilessly.

But all the fighting was not without cost, As every once in a while, Ariel took on serious injuries that would render a normal person, and some of the normal awakened. weak in their knees just imagining it.

At the end of the night. When the sun was rising, dotting the sky with a golden hue, Which Changed into a ghastly bloody colour when it reached the battlefield beneath it. That was littered with a large amount of dead carcasses of abominations.

And in the middle of a patch of desiccated bodies. Was a naked teenager, Covered in black blood from head to toe. The only thing noticeable about him aside from the blood, Was the glow of his piercing blue eyes that shined like two beacons of light in the deadly atmosphere.

Ariel. Now with just one arm and one leg crawled along the blood soaked ground. Slowly making his way out of the encirclement of the group of beasts, That were now dissolving at a rapid pace, Turning into black particles. And flying away by the occasional heated wind.

Pushing the pain away to the back of his mind, Ariel grunted in annoyance at the blinding light of the sun and its warm, Heated, Presence. Further amplifying his pain and suffering.

Stopping at a good distance from the area of the battle. Ariel let his tense, Wounded, body lay on the ground limply. His calm eyes staring at the blue clear sky in contemplation about his hopeless situation…..

'What's more strange, is that I never got anymore memories from any of the damn beasts. Even though I killed a shit ton of them.'

Ariel narrowed his eyes in thought 'Maybe this was supposed to happen, Maybe the branch of fate I've created ended with the soldier receiving this powerful sword. In order to slay all the nightmare creatures in this hellhole.'

Ariel issued out a hoarse sigh out indignation 'If that's the case then I'm royally and utterly fucked. And with the spell's addiction to the number seven. I'm guessing I have to keep killing those bastards for 7 days…. Or 7 weeks or more terrifyingly 7 months, And the worst case of all, 7 years...'

'FUCK!'

'Ah man just kill me already! I can't do this anymore!'

Frustration, anger and stress. Were visible within Ariel's blue eyes, As he stared at the sky in hopes of waking up in his comfy restraining bed, And just treat this as a mistake to never mention again in his rather non-eventful life of wanting to survive.

While Ariel was complaining about his situation, A tremble ran through the ground, before an earth shaking roar that shook the very air itself, rang out. As far as it could.

Which resulted in a devastating shockwave, that made Ariel's healed body tumble like a rag doll across the ground for thirty meters straight.

Clearing his mind from the distracting thoughts clouding it. Ariel focused on the very, very big. Black scaled worm that was flying through the sky like a hurricane, parting away the clouds in its path. And its destination was not surprisingly. Ariel.

'Oh great. Just great!.'

Ariel shook his head in disbelief. In the face of the advancing abomination. He Readied his body by straightening it into a stance that was both simple and profound, Something he picked up while fighting against the army last night.

After getting into his stance, Ariel's eyes sharpened into slits that began leaking a vast amount of bloodlust. And in response to the bloodlust, The beast once again let out a terrifying roar as it plummeted down. Onto the small human like a behemoth of madness.

Ariel let out a crazed laugh to drown the fear that was beginning to surface in the face of such monstrosity.

In a second, The worm reached ariel with its maw open. Just like the first one. Intending to swallow him in one bite...

'In your dreams!'

Ariel did an intricate overhead slash that he practiced into his body forcefully. with just one night of countless battles. To meet the maw of the worm...

*BOOOM!!!*

A compact shockwave so powerful, That it cracked the ground around them. Rang out. With Ariel barely holding his ground thanks to his sword's enchantment.

His body tasted the after-effects of the confrontation, Prompting him to let out a mouthful of saliva and blood.

A second passed, As Ariel held his ground by putting almost all of his strength into one final push. To rid the worm of himself, But before he could carry out his plan. The worm spat out a blob of a dark green-substance that was big enough to submerge his whole body.

The blob covered Ariel's body like a parasite. But it was to no avail. Ariel's skin seemed invincible.

Knowing what was happening, Ariel grinned before twisting his hands upside down along with the sword, To swiftly slice upwards in a precise manner that was completely unlike the amateurish display he put on when he first used the sword.

The worm was befuddled noticing its poison not working for the first time in its short life. And with the lapse in awareness. It was only a matter of time…..

Before The worm was suddenly hit with a piercing pain, spreading from its chin to its whole body. Resulting in the beast to elicit a shriek of pain as it tried to dislodge the human clinging to its chin by thrashing about violently.

Ariel stayed glued to his sword. A murderous resolve burning brightly in his eyes…..while also Using his free hand to punch on the thick scales of the monster viciously. Even after the worm buried him with its own weight, Snapping his spine into two halves. He didn't lose his grip on his sword.

Leaving the compiling wounds on his body to his aspect and regeneration. His razor sharp eyes only focused on one thing….. Which was to kill the foe in front of him.

After a while of punching and thrashing, that eventually turned into an animalistic battle between two monsters. To see who had the most resolve, Ruthlessness and anger to stand as the winner.

The only thing left on Ariel's mind was the instinct to.....

'Kill! Kill! Kill!'

Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the amount of pain overriding his body. Ariel blinked his only functioning eye in a daze, quickly regaining his clarity to gaze at the battered head of the still body of the worm.

In the end. Its brain was torn open, its scales not being able to withstand the barrage of Ariel's powerful attacks.

Pounds and pounds of monster flesh was all over the ground for a good twenty meters of space. Painting a nauseating picture of a violently fought battle.

And in front of the dead body of the beast was a more horrendous figure. His flesh was torn off from various sides of his body, With his back being completely ripped of. His spine shining in the light of the day, Clearly fractured and bruised. Barely holding his body together.

One of his arms was mangled beyond recognition, With the flesh melting away slowly. While the arm that was holding the sword was hanging on by a thread of thin flesh to his shoulder, Which was his punishment for not loosening his grip the whole time.

As for his face, his nose was caved in and flattened. The rest of his face was nastily swollen all over. And most importantly his gaping hole of a eye that was left behind after taking a direct hit of the maw of the beast was glowing slightly. As a result of his healing kicking in.

"Well...."

"This was very eye-opening".

Ariel groaned out. His voice hoarse and rough due to screaming all the time before falling into a deep slumber with a heavy thud.

*THUD*
