Evelynn became comfortable knowing that it was her own misunderstanding and was thankful that Davis didn't let her make a mistake. Even though she knew that it wouldn't be like that, thoughts were something people couldn't control as 'what ifs' would always keep resounding in their minds as long as it is not confirmed.

"Yes, I apologize if I had made you worried..." Evelynn clapped her hands with a smile.

Perhaps, she would've fallen prey to that but was glad that Davis quickly resolved her delusion.

'Gosh, caring for everyone's mental health isn't as simple as it would seem...' Davis imaginarily wiped off the sweat from his forehead with the back of his palm.

If he needed to keep this up with more wives, he must work hard!
