25 Chapter25-Activating the Caravan, Legend Point +1

Next, Jason hurried on.

"Sir, yes, it's me, I've brought the herbs you requested!"

[Congratulations, you have completed the quest and received a 1-tier unit box *1]

"Hello, I have slain the thieves of Old Losfall."

[Congratulations, you have completed the quest and received a 2-tier unit box *2]

...

[Congratulations…]

[Congratulations…]

After making his rounds through Losfall, Jason stood at the entrance of the Lord's Manor, accompanied by a Dragon Tombstone Guard, with the still unconscious daughter of the city lord behind him.

"Quite the haul," Jason mused, in high spirits.

This series of completed quests had rewarded him with three basic resource packs, one portion of Divine Waters, and several consumables.

[Fury Potion]

[Effect: Increases soldiers' attack power by 150 points upon use.]

A total of five.

[Emergency Healing Scroll]

[Effect: Restores 2000 HP to surrounding soldiers.]

A total of three scrolls.

[Town Return Scroll]

[Effect: Returns you to your currently bound main city.]

A total of two scrolls.

These were all practical early-game items.

Jason would likely use up the first two types in the next few days of pioneering; otherwise, as his soldiers' strength increased, these benefits would become negligible.

As for the Town Return Scrolls, they are not sold in the novice main city, so Jason had secured two through questing, ensuring he wouldn't explore too far and risk Carolina not being able to fly back in time.

What followed were various soldiers, including those directly provided and others that needed to be summoned through specific arrays or boxes.

The quality of the soldiers was primarily 1-tier and 2-tier, with a few being 3-tier. Jason swiftly managed his troops, significantly bolstering his forces.

The final evolution result of the Underworld Baptism was—

4-tier units, totaling two thousand, of which twelve hundred were [bone magi], equipped with skills for area attacks and passive damage enhancement.

The remaining eight hundred were melee [Ghouls], possessing decent HP and defense, capable of devouring enemy corpses to regenerate health, and also having a self-destruct skill upon death.

There were also five hundred 5-tier units, [Death Knights], with the skill [Cluster Charge] causing stun and damage, and another skill, [Phalanx], where all Death Knights converge to form a special formation, significantly reducing their movement speed but considerably boosting other attributes.

Although these soldiers weren't as powerful as Jason's trump cards or hidden units, an instant reinforcement of fifteen hundred troops was monumental.

"The soldiers I lost earlier added up to only about fifty or sixty, but now my army totals in the thousands!"

"Is this the power of the Undead Plague?" Jason envisioned the terrifying scene of his forces converging in battle tomorrow, an overwhelming force like a vast ocean of smoke.

In his past life, just the number of soldiers, not considering their strength, took him years to accumulate to this level!

Of course, Jason's plan to massively increase his troops wasn't over yet, as the grand prize for rescuing the lord's daughter and his reward was about to be claimed.

One of the rewards was unlocking the training rights to a powerful unit!

Without hesitation, Jason once again approached the two guards at the entrance of the lord's manor.

"Please inform the lord that I have rescued his daughter."

Jason walked into the city, nonchalantly dropping the still unconscious lord's daughter onto the carpet.

"Hero from another world, thank you for your assistance. Your kindness will never be forgotten," the lord said, tears mingling with his gratitude.

Then, seemingly out of nowhere, he produced a treasure chest and began stuffing orbs of light into Jason's hands.

[You have received the lord's heartfelt gratitude, obtaining the following items: 20,000 gold coins, Anthem of Heroes (A-level), Runes: Mountain *10, 3-tier unit [Losfall Hunter] training permission, [Tarot Card- The Moon].]

[You have completed a major storyline event.]

[You have eradicated the bandits entrenched in Old Losfall and rescued the lord's beloved daughter, your glory is gradually spreading across this land.]

[Your Legend Point +1.]

There was more than just these items.

The lord earnestly added, "Hero from another world, these items alone cannot express my gratitude towards you. Is there anything else I can assist you with?"

As he finished speaking, a prompt appeared before Jason.

[Prompt: You can make any request, but the Lord of Losfall City has limited capabilities and may not be able to fulfill your wish.]

With a smile, Jason said, "Lord, there is indeed a small favor I'd like to ask for… I wish to register my own caravan here in Losfall and open a shop. However, it seems to be quite troublesome for us folks from another world to deal with the paperwork."

The lord readily agreed.

"No problem, I will take care of the procedure for you." After a moment's thought, he pulled out a set of keys, "Here are the keys to a shop in the bustling part of the city."

"Tomorrow morning, I will send someone to deliver the caravan and all necessary documents to your inn."

"Furthermore, you can recruit new units at the city's hunters' hall."

Jason nodded in satisfaction, pleased with the outcome.

Normally, opening a trade guild is a route for lifestyle players, involving a series of specialized quest lines.

However, bypassing these restrictions through the lord's assistance was a significant shortcut.

Having obtained what he wanted, he decisively bid farewell to the lord: "Please, spend some quality time with your daughter; she must have been terrified by the bandits."

After exchanging pleasantries, Jason finally left the lord's manor.

He headed straight to the hunters' hall, where normal players could only recruit 1-tier units [Hunters].

Jason thought it over and decided not to bring Carolina along, entering alone.

Indeed, with his ID hidden, Jason went unnoticed by other players.

He walked straight up to the hunter instructor, clad in leather armor.

The instructor immediately exclaimed with excitement, "Oh... You must be Mr. [Smith], right? I'm honored to meet you. You're here to train the special soldiers granted by the lord, aren't you?"

"Allow me to assist you."

Other players around were stunned.

When we came here, wasn't this NPC notoriously aloof?

Who is this guy getting such flattery?

Hmm... Could it be [Smith]??

Jason, unconcerned with the bewilderment of others, calmly proceeded to the recruitment section.

The training cap for [Losfall Hunter] was 2500 troops.

For other players, this number would be more than sufficient, as training them would take a considerable amount of time.

But for Jason, it was merely about recruiting 2500 troops.

Accelerate by ten thousand times, activate!

The training cost for [Losfall Hunter] is 60 gold coins each, totaling exactly 150,000 gold coins.

Since it's a unit awarded from a quest, no additional materials are required.

After Jason input the gold coins, a prompt lit up before his eyes.

[You have started training, remaining time: 180s]

Normally, [Losfall Hunter] takes ten minutes to train, but with the ten-thousand-fold acceleration, training 2500 of them only takes two and a half minutes.

While waiting, Jason didn't idle, reviewing the rewards from the quests he had completed earlier.

The first was the reason for the hunter instructor's enthusiastic demeanor.

[Legend Point +1]

This system was something Jason had little contact with in his past life, as it's exclusive to Divine Age, where heavy involvement in regional storylines earns you points.

He had heard that the higher the Legend Points, the more likely you are to receive high-difficulty quests.

And just one Legend Point means that in Losfall, Jason can accept any quest without needing any reputation.

The rest of the quest rewards, aside from the gold coins, included:

[Anthem of Heroes (A-level)]

[Description: Can be used at the Hero Altar to randomly summon an A-level hero.]

An A-level hero is definitely something Jason would summon himself, although it's a pity he can't choose which one.

[Runes: Mountain]

[Effect: Increases all soldiers' defense by 100% for three hours.]

An excellent item for pioneering, doubling defense for three hours is enough to conquer many dungeons and Monster Lairs, undoubtedly a valuable asset.

[Tarot Card- The Moon]

[Effect: Upon use, grants S-level class [Crown of the Moon]]

The last item brought a flicker of excitement to Jason's eyes again.

An S-level class change item!

Exaggeration aside, it's immensely valuable.

Jason, who was an S-level class in his past life, certainly understood the power of such a class.

However, he had plans for another hidden class initiation, making this item unnecessary for him, but valuable for sale.

Considering the current early-stage scarcity of resources in the game...

He could definitely put this item up for auction to several nations.
