18 Chapter18-The [Smith] Persona

At this moment, the many intelligence officers understood one thing clearly.

This deity named Smith was on a completely different level from ordinary players; if he wished, he could single-handedly slaughter all the players in Losfall!

There was never a chance for equal dialogue or invitation to cooperate. They were unworthy!

"Of course, of course, how could we dare to obstruct you?" "We'll do as you say, looking forward to future collaborations." …

One by one, the intelligence personnel lost their nerve, speaking in hushed, obsequious tones.

Jason remained silent, gracefully stepping onto Carolina's perfect draconic form.

Then, the White Dragon spread her wings and soared, leaving behind only her elegant figure, etched into the eyes of the many players present.

Yet, aside from their panic, these players harbored a sense of helplessness mingled with aspiration.

What if they could connect with such a deity?

Wouldn't that catapult them to new heights?

The representative from the Valoria military was the only one who appeared somewhat composed, for he had a secret weapon.

In a nearby alley of Losfall, a girl in a pure white robe stood quietly, her visage serene and solemn.

Contrasting her holy demeanor, her cheeks bore a blush, and her eyes, watery and alluring, seemed to draw one in.

Soon, the middle-aged man representing the Valoria military approached her and inquired, "What's the analysis?"

"You are the ace of Project Swallow's seventeenth phase; surely you can discern something?"

The girl merely smiled sweetly and said, "This player named [Smith] is very cautious; I couldn't make out much."

"His appearance and ID reveal almost no personal information, which is surely intentional. We can only infer that his character is extremely meticulous."

"From my communication with other intelligence personnel, the first list of materials Smith requested involves many tasks within Losfall city, and about seventy percent of these tasks reward various soldiers."

"Thus, Smith's talent or some item he possesses must be related to enhancing soldiers."

"The materials needed in his second list are clearly a notch higher; he likely has one or several rewarding tasks at hand."

"Furthermore, Smith could have chosen to wait a while, allowing other players to gather most of the materials from the first list to complete some tasks and strengthen himself. However, he immediately departed Losfall via his dragon hero, clearly valuing efficient use of time, suggesting that Smith has a precise and optimized development plan."

"This indicates that the family behind Smith has profound control over various pieces of intelligence concerning the starter city of Losfall."

"Additionally, Smith showed a rare emotional fluctuation when rejecting the player who attempted to seduce him with male allure, displaying annoyance and dissatisfaction."

"He likely hails from a conservative state, possibly even a Puritan family, and his basic manner of speaking and grammatical habits suggest that he has received or is currently receiving higher education."

"Based on the demographic data from all Valoria Game Chamber sales, there's a high probability he is a college student."

"It's possible that the college Smith attends also has a conservative atmosphere; he might not be mindful of related taboos, and there are not many universities like this, which could narrow down our search range."

The girl claimed she couldn't discern much, but even Jason himself would break into a sweat if he heard her analysis.

Her speculations about his in-game objectives directly pinpointed Jason's intent to rapidly strengthen his forces, and her guesses about his family background were also accurate.

Lastly, her conjecture about Jason's status as a college student and the narrowing down of potential universities he might be attending, though based on statistical data, were spot on.

This is precisely why Jason chose to interact as little as possible with other players; not being a professional spy, any extensive interaction could reveal flaws.

The best he could do was to minimize the chances of exposing his personal information, lest he risk a major slip-up.

After the girl completed her analysis, the Valoria military's spokesperson smiled satisfactorily and added, "You missed one thing; we can be sure Smith likes women…"

"Your task needs no further clarification, exert your charm to the fullest, and establish a solid connection with him at all costs." The middle-aged man patted the girl's shoulder.

"At all costs?" There was a trace of sorrow in the girl's expression, mixed with a sense of relief.

As the ace, her body, or specifically her virginity, was the most precious card in espionage and defection missions; she had thought that this card would be played much later…

"Yes, at all costs."

The military spokesperson nodded affirmatively, his expression turning stern as he stood upright, saluted, and then loudly declared, "For making America great again."

The morning sunlight shone upon the man, making him appear as steadfast as a steel spear thrust into the ground.

...

At this moment, Jason sat atop Carolina, with fierce winds howling around him.

His destination was [Old Losfall], a neglected cluster of buildings that also encompassed surrounding hills, forests, and several ruins.

The area was rich in resources, and the town lord's daughter had fallen into the hands of a band of robbers within this district of Old Losfall.

The [Ascended High Tier] had already been activated, and Jason was about to engage in "map-licking" mode—slaughtering all grouped monsters, kicking every passing dog, scattering every egg's yolk, and splitting every earthworm in half.

He planned to exploit every resource point with a thousandfold acceleration, ensuring that his path was scoured clean as if locusts had passed through.

As for the outdoor bosses and low-level dungeons, Jason wouldn't actively seek them out unless they dropped the required items, since the [Ascended High Tier] didn't require high quantities of those.

Arriving at the first resource point, Jason first opened [The Town Lord's Gift], and with a flash of light, several items appeared in his hands.

[You have opened [The Town Lord's Gift], receiving an Alchemy Device: Explosives x10, Old Losfall Map, gold coins x20000]

Jason nodded; the rewards were moderate, but the map was crucial for him.

[Old Losfall Map]

[Description: A map drawn by the guards of Losfall, marking all resource points, monster congregations, and monster dens on the player's map after acquisition.]

This would significantly save time during Jason's map-licking endeavor.

As for the other item—

[Alchemy Device: Explosives]

[Effect: Causes massive damage over a wide area when used.]

The description was simple, yet its output was formidable in the early stages of the game, an absolute boon for pioneering new territories.

Jason scarcely glanced at the last of the gold coins; his bag was already brimming with too many, hardly a shortage in sight.

After collecting the rewards, Carolina gradually descended, and right below, a pack of 4-tier monsters—Razorclaw Werewolves—roamed an abandoned square overgrown with various bushes and trees.

Jason remembered these beasts; they were the nightmare of players pioneering Old Losfall in his past life, with their high intelligence, ability to ambush relying on the terrain, and their vampiric powers combined with high damage output, making them extremely tough to kill.

But now, descending from the sky, Jason had all their positions locked down.

The next second, the Banshee in the air started its wail.

[Agonizing Wail]!

The echoing sound waves induced terror, scattering the werewolves.

They were quickly encircled by the instantaneously summoned Subspecies Bone Dragon, while the Dragonsepulcher Sentinels also landed, drawing their weapons to strike.

With their attributes doubled, Jason's soldiers easily slaughtered the werewolves within the three seconds of induced fear, with notifications of experience gains resonating by Jason's ears.

Subsequently, he marched through the old district's streets, clearing out scattered werewolves, and in a vast hall, he wiped out a small squad of 5-tier mutated werewolves.

The vicinity fell eerily quiet, utterly devoid of life, and in the southwest of the old district, where the monsters had been thoroughly vanquished, a treasure chest appeared with a soft sound. Jason casually opened it.

[You have opened the treasure chest, receiving…]
