6 Hospital

Eyelashes fluttered as kamui began to regain consciousness. He was greeted with an all encompassing darkness tinged with purple. Most would react poorly to this but it wasn't Kamui's first rodeo. So he reached out with his sore arms and stretched towards his waist.

Feeling something solid yet squishy he gave a squeeze "Ahn~". Yup Nemuri was sleeping atop him again. Swivelling his jaw revealed that he wasn't wearing a helmet, the breeze he felt means he's either naked or that he's in a hospital gown.

Blue eyes appeared from the purple bush of hair to stare at him. Nemuri pushes herself up "your finally awake!"

"How long was I out?" "It's been 73 years" "Well you've obviously had work done then~". That comment got Kamui a swift smack on the shoulder from his girlfriend which made him laugh. She dismounted him allowing him to sit up.

He looked around and found his phone nearby, a courteous girlfriend does wonders. Unlocking the phone displayed that he's been unconscious for 14 hours. Nemuri began to narrate the aftermath of the events before the doctor arrived.

When the sound of doors sliding open echoed out Kamui was shocked to see recovery girl walk in to his room. Her first action was to prod him with her walking stick making him wheeze before she rattled up medical terms.

She looked at him and realised that her jargon was over his head so she dumbed it down. "You got a concussion because of the shockwave of the explosion quirk. The burns were superficial, the slime wasn't acidic, no lung or brain damage from inhaling the fumes, your body is a little stressed due to your rigorous training regime so you need a break and to tone it down."

After that she gave me her personal recommendations to improve myself after Nemuri asked her. When she left I asked how she managed to get recovery girl to heal me. "Wasn't me sweetheart~ all Might called her personally to heal you. Said something about you being a true hero before he sprinted away."

I nodded and continued making small talk with her, she was a little handsy compared to other times when we're in public but I guess she was scared for me. When I asked her if I had any visitors she scowled briefly.

"Mount lady, death arms, water hazard and a hero called borderline made an appearance. Wanted to thank you for doing the hard work I think." She finished with a "tch". I guess there's more behind that which I'll unpack later, or not at all~.

I chilled out in the room for three more hours whilst the medical professionals cleared me to leave. On my way out I managed to spot two pomeranians in the lobby. One had a lesser scowl than what I had assumed it would have whilst the older one looked happy to see me.

They approached me with recognition in their gaze, I wonder how they knew I was Kamui woods because I wasn't wearing the woods. The older woman of the pair obviously being the bakugos asked for a more private venue to speak I couldn't help but oblige. Nemuri just smiled at this, not many heroes get personal thanks after all.

After we found a private space Mitsuki grabbed Katsuki's head and lowered it slightly, surprisingly he offered little resistance. She said with passion "thank you for saving my son!" Mirrored with a murmured "thanks for helping me".

I was in shock! What the fuck happened while I was KO'D!!!! Did all might pick bakugo as his successor or some bullshit. Oh lord did I fuck everything up?!?!? I remember bakugo taking a shot to the spine in the manga, the OFA Wielder needs plot armour otherwise this world will go go shit!

The bakugos raised their heads, the young man had a blank look on his face as he stared at me like a dog waiting for his meal whilst the mother smiled at me.

I scratched the back of my head "ah well it's what any hero would have done" was all I said. I noticed a minute jolt from the pair, my analysis from that is that they both had opinions on that. I doubt Katsuki forgot the other heroes perched on the sidelines and I really doubt a mother wouldn't analyse them threat that happened to her child.

Mitsuki spoke in selected words "No I'm afraid they wouldn't have Kamui san, we know your a plant hero and they typically avoid fire. The fact that you hopped first before the guys with water and durability quirks speaks volumes. Not to mention how you tried to block before you..." she said going quiet at the end.

Could have sworn I saw a glint of adoration cross Katsuki's eyes. I turned to him "kid, do you want to be a hero?"

He frowned slightly before nodding "I wanna surpass All Might! I also wanna surpass you Kamui Woods! First I'll start with UA!"

I smiled and said "I look forward to seeing that, let me leave you with a little advice. No talent that works hard will always beat talent that hardly works! You reacted well in that incident, you have something that most others will lack going into UA!"

He asked gruffly "what's that?!"

I smirked "experience" his eyes widened and I could tell he started to record my words. "You were in a hostage situation, you now know how it feels as the victim and what you wished for any of the heroes to go during that situation can now be applied to yourself. When you become a hero and the shoe is on the other foot, you can be a much better hero than we were to you!"

Cheesy I know but in an anime world that shit is super fuel for character development. Hopefully my words make him less of an aggressive ass and more helpful outside combat situations.

The boy stopped talking as he reflected on things, his mother noticed this so she bowed slightly once again and led him away. I noticed that she walked towards a pudgy green haired woman who was sucking her lip slightly whilst looking at Nemuri. Clearly that's Inko Midoriya, she must have wanted to convey her thanks for saving her hero complex son.

She didn't approach us though but just left with the bakugos. Nemuri walked up to my side and wrapped around my arm. "Let's get you home mister, I'm sure your hungry and stressed. A nice meal and bath among other things~ will help relieve you".

God every words out of her mouth is an innuendo and I can't help but love it. So I tightened my grip around hers and walked back to the apartment.
