GRIEF

In the dark we listen shamelessly to the secret screams of silence

Tears flow in a steady torrent washing all traces of a blissful past with it

Pulsing painfulness grips our fragile hearts breaking our prides and egos

Death becomes a thought we wake up to and sleep with

Emptiness engulfs our entire being pulling our rationality in the mire of despair

Desperation to live and dissatisfaction with the life we live sets us on edge

Ghosts from our past , of the people we once loved haunt our memories

Grief resides in us till we look inwards and find the strength to see happiness and light in the darkness of gloom
