1 Prologue

Alastor, one of the five Elder Gods of the world, entered her abode. Her servants greeted her upon sight, for it was their great honour to serve the devilish majesty.

"What is thy bidding, my master?" Her right hand man, a small, doll-like entity stationed just five feet ahead of her, submissively spoke with a bow. Alastor looked down at the marionette with great affection in her shadowy, corroded black eyes.

Taking it up to her lap, she began to caress its squishy, woolly surface as if it were her own child.

"There, there...just rest, your mother will take care of you, my child…" The deity quietly uttered. "...Has the boy arrived yet?"

"No, my master. He has not."

"Is that so…"

The boy she waited on was called by the name 'Christopher Hallowswift.' She had everything she needed to know about him saved in a file she kept close to her dark throne.

Name: Christopher Hallowswift

Age: 14

Height: 5'1

Date of Birth: 4th July, 2000

Blood Type: AB

Race: Human

Death: Pushed own sister out of way of speeding truck, died in her steed

Current State: Static. Eligible for reincarnation by Eternal Night.

She stared at the file, savouring it's very contents.

"Mmm...Christopher Hallowswift...my child...please, please come quickly...Mommy is waiting for you...teeheehee…"

Alastor's patience was running out. First the meeting, and then the wait. Just barely, was she able to win custody over him, with Creation taking the second. The entire situation amused her.

"Teeheehee...hahahahaha! Hahahahahahahahaha!" A fox, and a demon, together in the new world as siblings. Just what had the universe come to? The entire situation was deemed as blasphemous, as it violated the balance between the two planes of existence in the world, went against all that was put into place to protect the treaty.

Death, Animation and Sorcerer were all against it, whereas Creation and Marionette were in favour. Due to Creation being against the majority vote, the case was terminated, and Christopher was given the race 'Demon' whereas the other, 'Fox.'

One was to be born in the Overworld, the other in the Underworld. It wouldn't have been long until they both crossed each other's paths. Depending on what occurs beforehand, the two may very well be the other's greatest ally, or worst enemy.

"Which one, I wonder...which one should it be…" Alastor wondered. "...No matter. I'll just leave that up to fate." She ultimately decided not to tamper any more with their futures than she already had. After all, it was more entertaining that way.

"Ahhh, fate is a cruel mistress…" The future awaiting the boy was far from kind…one could describe it was 'too much' for someone his age. But Alastor here, she saw it as perfect for him.

A sudden shock flowed through the entire abode. That was the signal for his arrival.

"Oh my, you're finally here…" Alastor lifted the servant in her arms, and stood to her feet, her long, black, flowing gown reaching down to her ankles. "...Mommy will see you soon. Just wait there..."
