A make up date

Kelvin...

"Drive faster" Kelvin roared at the driver.

The pent-up rage he was trying to keep at bay was about to be set free.

He was halfway into shifting to his wolf.

His nails were already claws and his eyes were a different story entirely.

They kept flashing between brown and black with bits of sparks in them.

"Please stop, you're hurting me" said Emily trying to free herself yet each layer of her skin kept dropping like saw dust in the car.

Blood was everywhere.

On the fancy leather car seat, the floor of the car, her exposed legs...

"Shut up" roared Kelvin facing her, his eyes ablaze.

Kelvin turned his attention back to the pale driver who was shaking out of fear.

"If you don't drive faster, I might just have to kill you and drive this mother fucking car myself" said Kelvin in a low tone making the driver press down hard on the accelerator.

Emily bit down on her lips as the metallic taste filled her mouth.

The driver was breathing so hard that Emily thought at this rate the driver might pass out from inhaling excess oxygen or exhaling excess carbon dioxide.

Emily, on the other hand had no time to play good Samaritan.

Her right wrist was no doubt infected.

Her sweat mingled with that of Kevin's sweat and saliva when he yelled dropped into her opened wrist wound.

Emily was scared hell she was petrified.

She didn't know a one syllable and four letter words could get Kevin this enraged.

If she gets to live another day, she would believe in God at once.

Sadly for her, she knew her life was going to end soon.

She could literally see it flashing in front of her eyes.

It was either death by accident or death by a werewolf.

With the way the driver drove, she would go with the first choice.

Soon the car stopped making Kelvin wrenched the car door pulling it from the hinges and flinging it to God knows where making Emily wince as he pulled her out of the car.

She stumbled on her feet trying to walk in line with Kelvin's long strides making her fall to the ground.

Kelvin didn't stop to help her stand up like the gentleman she thought he was instead he just kept on moving making Emily get scratches from the scattered gravels and dead twigs.

By the time she got pulled up to the porch, she had blood everywhere.

Her arms and legs were covered in blood and not to forget her wrist.

Her poor wrist.

She was pulled inside the house and was flunged to God knows where as her head came in contact with the coffee table.

She winced in pain as she tried lifting her hand to feel for any bump on her head.

"Why didn't anyone tell me and Cole and where the hell is Kira and Ashley?" roared Kelvin making Emily flinch.

She was having a concussion that much she knew and she needed pain meds ASAP.

"Oh my" Rosie gasped once she sighted Emily.

Rosie hurriedly assisted Emily upstairs to her room.

Leading Emily to a chair in front of her dressing table, Rosie ran off to get the first aid box.

Emily could no longer hear the growls coming from Kelvin and it did little to calm her.

What if something bad had happened to Kira and Ashley? Was he about to kill the driver? Would she be next?

All this thoughts plagued Emily's mind and the sound of her room door unlocking made her jump in fright.

It was Kira and Ashley holding the first aid box.

Emily couldn't believe her eyes.

Ashley ran forward hugging her first before Kira did.

Emily hugged her as tight as her injured wrist would allow.

It was when Emily said ouch did they release her.

"Oh my goddess, Emily you look horrible" said Ashley as she began searching through the first aid box.

"Thanks Ashley for stating out the obvious" said Emily with a roll of her eyes.

A cotton wool dipped in antiseptic was raised to Emily's face.

"This is gonna hurt" said Ashley before dipping it into Emily's injured wrist.

Emily sighed in utter relief as the last plaster was kept on her leg.

She managed a small smile of gratitude to both Ashley and Kira.

They sat at each side of her and as soon as Kira opened her mouth, a knock came on the door.

Kira replied with a come in and soon the driver came in holding all the prizes Kelvin won for her at the park.

"Where does this go, ma'am?" the driver asked making Emily point to a corner in her room.

As soon as the driver left, Ashley spoke up.

"That's a lot. Anyways, tell us everything that happened"

Emily nodded and in details told them how Kelvin took her to an amusement park, how he played and won every single game and then they went on some rides.

She told them how they were hungry and how they decided to visit a restaurant and how in the process of telling Kelvin all about her life, Cole slipped out.

When she was done with the story, Emily immediately apologized making both Kira and Ashley scoff in disbelief.

"You have nothing to apologize for. Besides, this isn't your fault" said Kira making Ashley nod.

"She's right, Em. Kelvin shouldn't have manhandled you the way he did. He's wrong for treating you like trash"

Emily wasn't sure if that's how she felt but she nodded nevertheless.

Ashley and Kira didn't seem mad at her at all and that brought relief to Emily.

The main purpose was to escape and in order to do that she had to still be on the same page with the both of them.

And then it struck Emily that she didn't get to see the route that led to the park and back.

She was too nervous on her way going there and on her way coming back, her wrist was trapped between claws.

"So tell me, did you enjoy the date?" Ashley asked interrupting Emily's train of thoughts.

She thought about it. She enjoyed her time in the park and in the restaurant.

But what she didn't enjoy was the way her body was reacting to Kelvin.

Her pants were soaking and even Cole didn't make her feel that way.

"Yes" Emily answered nodding making Ashley and Kira flash smiles of their own.

"I know you're thinking my brother exaggerated but just the name Cole changes his mood. They haven't always been like that. There was a time when they shared everything and anything.

Until, Cole decided he couldn't share his mate. He called WAE and you know the rest. So obviously, Ken is worried about losing you to Cole. Imagine thinking your brother is dead and then hearing from your mate's mouth that she was actually married to your brother and has been living with him all this while. Obviously the reaction won't be one of happiness" said Kira smiling at Emily.

She was right but still...

"Go take a shower" said Ashley standing up alongside Kira," We'll wait for you outside your room"

Emily smiled at them as soon as they left, she let out a huge sigh.

She had to go on another date and she had to control her body if she wanted to get out of here alive.

Emily was brushing her hair when she heard a knock on her room's door. She muttered a quick come in and turned around expecting to see Ashley and Kira but instead came face to face with Kelvin.

She rolled her eyes and turned around facing her dresser while brushing her hair.

"What do you want?" Emily asked in a fake cold tone making Kelvin flinch.

"I came to apologize" came his honest reply.

"And what makes you think that I'll easily forgive you?" asked Emily again ignoring him.

Kelvin released a huge sigh before going down on his knees making Emily shocked to the core.

She had never seen a man on his knees before not to talk of a werewolf.

Wow, Emily you're good.

"I'm sorry, Emily. I just hate my brother so much you know and to hear you say you were married to him, I flipped and said things I didn't mean to say. Just let me make it up to you tomorrow. I'll take you on another date just me and you"

Emily almost cried in praise to God.

This was happening.

He really wanted to take her on another date.

A date where she'll study the route to leave this God forsaken place.

Happiness surged through her veins but she knew she had to play it cool.

She pretended to be thinking about it when Kelvin's voice cut through her train of thoughts.

"But I understand if you aren't interested" said Kelvin getting up to his feet.

"No! I mean I would like to go on a date with you again but on one condition"

"What?" asked Kelvin in pure confusion.

"I'll like us to take a walk there" said Emily making Kelvin nod in agreement.

"Anything for you" said Kelvin and with that he was gone.

Emily smiled as she twirled a strand of her dark hair.

She had managed to kill two birds with one stone.

Her body won't react like that when she was walking with him and not driving in a confined car and she could mark some places in order to get the hang of it.

Picking up the red lipstick Ashley had used on her that morning, she had found the perfect marker.
