28 One Warmth-filled Hug

"Your real parents?" They asked looking at one another, a strange look on both their faces.

Annalise nodded. She had tried to ignore it for a long time, she had been more angry at them than understanding but now, she just wanted to meet them, she wanted to know them. It didn't matter to her the kind of people they were or that they had abandoned her, what mattered to her was knowing who they were, seeing what they looked like.

Her heart was pounding despite the calm outward appearance she was maintaining, this might end up horribly. But she had thought over this idea on and on for days and finally, she had concluded this was something she simply had to do... She had to find her parents.

"Yes, I would like to meet them." She replied to the Armillos. "I appreciate what you've done for me and please do not in any way consider this a betrayal of some sort. You matter to me, I see both of you as my parents but..."
