"Happy birthday, Annalise," Marco said, his face beaming.

Nicolás glared at him. "It's not her birthday," 

Annalise laughed, reaching out a hand to the dog - it was quite small, its body covered with deep brown-colored furs and with dark, almond-shaped eyes, it was the cutest sight Annalise had ever set upon. His tag wagged just before he let out his tongue licking the side of her hand causing her to giggle before falling to her knees and hugging him to her chest.

"Do you like it?" Nicolás asked with a small smile on his face.

She nodded eagerly. "Thank you so much, Nicolás, you have no idea."

"I'm glad," he said before walking away and shutting the door to his office behind him.

"Thought of a name yet?" Marco asked.

 Annalise stared at the dog, her fingers caressing his furs while he watched her too with such beautiful eyes, she wondered how she'd ever managed to live without him.
