"And that's why I should lead the war," Briar said concluding her speech that I zoned out of. Briar Beast is the last surviving member of the Beast family, just as her last name implies she can take on any form of animal or any animal characteristics as she pleases. Briar is 20 years old, has light skin, usually has horns curving backwards and short, blonde hair.
"What war? This is a meeting about what to do now that Blacksmith revealed herself to the public," Humiya said annoyed, Humiya Nurse was also the last surviving member of her family. Humiya's manifestation allows her to heal anyone as long as they're either breathing or their heart is still bleeding. Humiya is 24 years old, with shoulder-length brown hair, circular glasses and a mole under her left eye. "I can't believe we really sat here for 3 hours listening to her spout such nonsense," Humiya said looking extremely irritated.
"There's no war this time but don't worry Briar maybe in another lifetime," Ruri Jewel said, her manifestation allowed her to solidify air into the shape of any gem working like a shield, well that's what she usually did uses it for. Ruri and Briar have always been close to each other since both families have always been close. Ruri is 21 years old, and has dark skin, and long black hair.
"And where is Sunako?!" Humiya asked slamming both hands on the table.
"Ugh, why are you so loud?" Sunako said sliding out from under the table, Sunako Shadow allows her to blend in with any form of darkness and she can stay within a dark space for up to 3 days before needing food or water.
"What are you doing under there?!" Humiya asked.
"Briar was going on about something that was unimportant so I thought I'd find a nice, warm, dark place to sleep but someone disrupted my nap," Sunako said glaring at Humiya, she then looked at me, " Was the exposure that bad?" Sunako is also 22 years old, light-skinned, and has short black hair.
"Whaaaatt? Nooooo, I just thought now was the time to socially kill off my Demon Director phase," I said rolling my eyes.
"I'm just glad you followed my advice and did something different," Humiya said.
"How's my hair Ruri?" Briar asked pulling it downwards.
"Your hair always looks good," Ruri said with a smile.
"Does that mindset apply before or after your public execution?" Humiya asked me folding her arms.
"Just don't have a lover's quarrel with Katsuo over the departments," I said sitting back into my seat.
"Yeah, how is that going by the way?" Briar asked looking interested.
"T-that's not what the meeting is supposed to be about," Humiya said looking away blushing.
"That means it's going well," I said laughing.
"How do you know D?" Sunako asked me.
"Because she didn't speak badly about him so they aren't mad at each other nor broken up annnnd Katsuo hasn't been a stick in the mud much so it's most likely going well," I explained.
"This meeting is not about my love life!" Humiya shouted.
"I'm leaving," Sunako said getting up from the table.
"You will stay!" Humiya yelled.
"Suuunnnnnaaaaa, you gotta stay this meeting is for meeeee," I said attempting to get her to stay but not actually trying.
"You're lucky I like you or I would've left a long ass time ago, Miya is too loud," Sunako said sitting back down.
"My name is Humiya, address me as such or not at all,"
"You do know that gives her free reign to just pretend you don't exist," Ruri said.
"And I will take it as such," Sunako said putting on headphones.
"Just go ahead with the meeting, I'll give her the rundown later," I said turning to Humiya.
"Fine but at least teach her some discipline,"
"I won't even teach my niece that so I cannot promise that," I said putting my feet up on the table.
"Whaat? Your brother has a kid?" Ruri asked.
"Kid?! Ruri, didn't he die in the raid?!" Briar asked.
"We went over the story already, both of them managed to get out of the house but got separated, "Humiya explained briefly.
"Oh, and how did that happen again?" Briar asked, Humiya sighed.
"Let's not bring up the past when we have present issues," Sunako said.
"I'm glad at least you get what this meeting was for," Humiya said folding her arms.
"Let's just ask Destiny what to do," I said taking a sip of my tea.
"Destiny doesn't talk," Briar said.
"Of course she does," I said "Destiny tells you everything you need to know in the upcoming weeks just by looking at you," I explained.
"Since you seem so acquainted with this Destiny I assume you knew this was coming, hence your nonchalant behaviour," Humiya said.
"Exactly, now let's go," I said finishing my tea and getting up from my seat.
"But how will we find her?" Ruri asked me.
"We won't need to," I said.
"But then how do we speak to her?" Briar asked.
"Knowing her she's already looking for me, we just need to stop by the department building. If we're lucky she'll be there and possibly harassing Hiro,"
"How do you know that?" Briar asked me.
"Because it happens every so often, Hiro has a specific vibration when she calls so he purposely ignores it and just said his phone was off," I explained.
"Backtrack to my question, how do you know that?" Briar asked again.
"She's probably developed a thing for Hiro after all these years," Humiya said smirking.
"Why is the one with the stick in her ass making jokes about me?" I asked as Sunako bursted out laughing.
"Damn, well she didn't lie you act as if you have sticks in your ass," Sunako said.
"Let's just go guys, Director you have a way to get in right?" Ruri asked me.
"We can just go through the front I doubt people have come for me yet," I said getting up from my chair to leave the room.
"Alright but just in case, Ruri be ready to create a shield," Humiya told Ruri, who nodded.
We left the pentagon-shaped table and went outside, luckily we weren't far from the department building. We were about 5 blocks from it but the crowd of Tormentors had stretched thus far beyond where we were standing.
"Oh you are so screwed," Sunako said in amazement at the crowd.
"Ruri," Humiya said as Ruri created a gem that all 5 of us fit in as we walked through the crowd of tormentors.
