Chapter 8

"Anna let's go now," shouted Azel from in front of Anna's bedroom door.

“Give more time — I don’t wear lip balm.”

"I'll wait out front."

Today Anna has morning class and she doesn't really like it. For the reason that the morning class disturbed her sleep time and her sleepiness was intolerable in the morning. This was due to her irregular sleep at night, which made her hate morning classes.

Anna's bedtime is really messy, how could this girl often sleep in the early hours of the morning? Usually she will sleep at one in the morning, that's the fastest time she falls asleep. Worst of all, Anna couldn't sleep until dawn. This means that Anna didn't sleep at all, at most she only slept an hour or two before sunrise.

Unfortunately, today is a subject that Anna doesn't like. It's not that he hates her subjects. It's just that the lecturer makes Anna not like this course. Because for Anna, if Mr. Sapto explains, she doesn't understand, but instead she gets sleepy. It felt like it was just adding to the burden of life, not getting a good night's sleep plus useless lectures made Anna even more annoyed, if this wasn't a mandatory subject it would be better for her to skip class and continue her delayed sleep. Because of this, in every course, Anna chooses to sit in the back seat. Because if she suddenly fell asleep, she wouldn't be discovered, she thought.

When they arrived at class, the atmosphere was already busy because Anna and Azel liked to come to class at the end of time. This means that if the start time is eight in the morning then they will enter class ten minutes before class starts. Even that was the earliest time for them because usually they came when the class had already started. It really doesn't reflect a virtuous student.

"Isn't Mr. Sapto coming in? Not like usual because he diligently comes in on time," Anna asked her classmate named Salia.

"You're so strange, usually you like it when Mr. Sapto doesn't come in," Azel responded to Anna's words, asking where the lecturer was.

"Mr. Sapto is not coming in," Salia answered.

"Yippee, today is an empty hour. Let's just go to the canteen."

"Today is not empty because there is a new lecturer who will replace it," the class president replied to Anna's soft words.

"Well, I guess it's free time."

“That's what you want, but the reality is that there are no free hours. Because Mr. Sapto has been transferred to another place. So there will be a replacement lecturer later."

"It's not fun, it should be free time."

"It's up to you Anna, but today the new lecturer will come in."

"Rian, do you know who our new lecturer is?" Azel asked.

"I also do not know. Because the teaching staff only said that today substitute lecturers have started to come in to teach."

Anna and Azel just gave in when they heard the explanation from the class president. Because they felt there was nothing else important, they headed to their favorite sacred seat, namely the seat in the back corner. The most comfortable place, according to Azel.

After more than twenty minutes of waiting. Finally someone knocked on the classroom door. The person walked into the front chair usually occupied by the lecturer. It has been confirmed that Rian was referring to the new lecturer.

"Good morning."

"Good morning sir."

"First of all, I apologize for my delay, is this really Mr Sapto's class?" asked the lecturer.

"Yes sir, that's right."

"Excuse me, sir, may I ask, is it true that you will replace Mr. Sapto?" asked the head of the polite class.

"What is your name?" asked the lecturer.

"I apologize in advance sir for forgetting to introduce myself, my name is Adrian Putra, usually called Rian."

"Yes, that's right Rian, I am Mr Sapto's substitute lecturer. "Before I introduce myself, my name is Diofano Alghiffary, you can call me Mr Diofano."

"It looks like that nickname doesn't suit you," said one of the students in the class.

"It's okay, the provisions are like that," answered Diofano. After a brief introduction himself. Now Diofano is ready to take attendance on the student attendance list which is written on the students' attendance sheet.

Anna, who was sitting in the corner chair, didn't pay attention to the situation in the class. She knew that her lecturer had arrived, but she didn't know who the new lecturer was. Anna chose to be indifferent to the new lecturer, she thought she would know herself. So she didn't care about who the new lecturer was. As long as the new lecturer isn't annoying like Mr. Sapto, that's enough for him. Anna was busy tidying up her unfinished summary in her notebook. This notebook is Anna's ultimate weapon, because a summary of every course she takes is contained in the note.

Anna was engrossed in her notebook. So when it came time for her name to be called Anna didn't listen.

"Anna Aliga."

"Anna Aliga."

Anna didn't respond to the first and second calls because she didn't hear them. Anna is focused on her notebook. Until the third call, Anna still didn't hear it, "Anna Aliga." Diofano increased the volume of his voice to call one of his students, but to no avail, Anna still didn't respond. Because of her deafness. Azel, who was beside Anna, was furious and then pinched her friend's arm. Azel told Anna that her name had been called.

"Anna your name has been called!! Are you deaf," Azel scolded his best friend.

Stupid! Anna cursed herself. Then she raised his right hand to show that he was present in class.

"I'm here, sir," Anna finally answered. At the same time Anna also raised her head and she gasped in surprise.

"What's wrong with you? I know that our new lecturer is young and handsome. But your reaction is too excessive," Azel said to Anna because she saw her friend's excessive reaction.

Anna didn't budge, neither did Dioafano. Diofano was also surprised to see Anna in his class. It turns out that Anna is one of the students he will teach.

"Oh my God, it turns out the world is really small." Anna muttered to herself.
