19 The Beast

Yo before we start this chapter I want to thank you all for giving this fanfic power stones so as a thank you 3 chapters will be posted on the same day, and since I have a few non English readers who use the translator I sadly have to stop using the font changer so if Ophis is speaking to Victor within the devil bringer it would be ('Like this' )

Well anyways I hope you enjoy this chapter as after these 4 chapters the schedule would be changed as I will be trying to increase the 2k word count to permanently be 3k-4k

In one of the many Forest of Kyoto was a shrine and a few buildings surrounding it as if it was village which it of course was, the sound of children playing and adults gossiping could be heard as the group passed through as they followed the girl Chisaki.

"So you saved a bunch of people form being enslaved?, pretty heroic for a demon" Aizawa jokingly remarked at Victor who didn't mind him as he was to focused on the timer of when the location of the east would be revealed

'48 Minutes...'

Victor looked around and was worried about Village as he wouldn't like it if it got destroyed because they didn't take care of the beast in time so as he followed Chisaki to what was apparently the head priest of the shrine which was basically the position of their village leader, they actually had to walk around 20 minutes with twist and turns and a few checkpoints since this village was a secluded Yokai village and they allowed Victor in was due to the fact he had a good reputation with the Shinto faction for saving around 60 Yokai's and the group chat members we're allowed to come since they we're his companions.

Rem on the other hand was looking at the whole village with Nostalgia she was raised in a village similar to traditional villages from the Edo Era of Japan, so as she observed the children who played and the clothing and structures she felt like she was at home.

On the other hand Aizawa and Raku we're both acting like tourist(With aizawa being a little more subtle) due to the fact it was their first time in an authentic fanasty related village, they we're both eating dango's on a stick when finally the group reached the main shrine and was met with an old lady that seemed to be a Kistune and a very old one as her hair and tails we're all gray and white along with the completion of a normal granny. But Victor Rem and Aizawa felt a different aura form a kind old lady since it was as if the kind smile and the aura she was emitting was like a small spark that could immediately become a flame and consume you, while Raku on the other was so oblivious he went up said hello.

"My such a kind boy~" The old kitsune spoke out amused by Raku she immediately knew that he was just a normal teenager with a gun and the robes of an exorcist, she observed the others and smirked seeing how they we're obviously more trained and experience.

"So why did you bring us here?" Victor questioned as he worriedly looked at the old kitsune but instead of getting a reply she came forward observing Victor a bit closer before grabbing his left hand and pricking it with her finger

"Ow!" Victor pulled his hand back regeneratrd the wound but was more worried about the old lady infront of him as after obtaining the devil bringer his durability in every part of his body was starting to get affected by it so right now he couldn't even be injured by a Peak Middle-Class Devil, So when a Random old kitsune lady was able to injure him in his current state he was worried.

Suddenly the old lady grabbed a piece of parchment from her pocket and wiped Victor's blood on it, and soon enough it glowed red before the piece of parchment became a tome.

"On the half of our village we thank you for saving our people from the hand's of the Devils, we we're always targeted due to the fact that the we are a small village compared to the others so we couldn't ask for help. So now I give you this a tome that's linked with your very being allowing you to use spiritual spells once you learn the proper way of using it"

Victor looked at the tome he now held in his hand before placing it in his pocket, he would have asked on why the old lady didn't just save them by herself but he then realized that since they we're always targeted by devil's this old lady infront of him was probably the only reason the whole village wasn't destroyed since she might be old but she is still a kitsune.

"Well thank you for this, but me and my companions have to go now"

"Oh that's a shame since we would like to ask for your help one more time"

This caught Victor's attention and with a sigh he just nodded signaling the old lady he would help

"You ever since 3 days ago a sort of rift had appear in the Hot-Springs near the village and we we're hoping you would know something about it"

Not only did the old lady's word caught the attention of Victor but as well as the other members even Raku, so they all had probably linked two in two but still hoped that they we're wrong

"How far is the Hot-Springs from the village.."

"Oh not that far"

And as if their minds we're linked they all thought of one word

'Shit'

It was as if the very Fabric of space had been torn, the rift that was shown to them gave them all a sense of dread as they knew that this was the source of where the beast would come out from.

('That tear in space is some sort of pocket dimension that leaks the same energy in the Dimensional Gap')

Suddenly the tear grew larger and slowly a claw came out of it before slamming it straight on the ground causing a huge crater to form

"Everyone get ready Aizawa take Raku with you and just focus on range since you two are normal humans, Rem get the Yokais out of here and once you get them back to the village help me fight this thing!" They all nodded in unison as Raku tried to keep up with Aizawa who leaped off the grow on one of the many tree branches

"Kid take cover!" Aizawa who saw an incoming attack Pulled Raku away just in time before a huge tentacle landed on where he once stood

Now they finally saw a clear figure of what seemed to be a Chimera with with many faces all over it's body and malformed parts from human limbs and other creatures, the beast turned it's attention to Victor and charged at it him while forming 2 horns

"Bitch!" Victor was surprised by the speed of the beast before he caught it by the horns before it could impale him, suddenly all of its face began glowing red before it directly spew a torrent of flames at Victor. Aizawa who saw this was immediately saw this shot 3 arrows at the beast at once it winced in pain before it tried to charge at Aizawa before it realized it couldn't move.

"Can't believe you did a Percy Jackson on me buddy!" Victor then slowly began spinning around while keeping his grasp on the beast horns and soon after he began to pick up speed before tossing it to the sky surprising not only Aizawa but Raku who had his mouth wide open, and soon enough the beast began falling due to the wonders and gravity and as soon as it was close enough to Victor, he pulled back his arm

"Here comes the money shot!"

And with a quick movement he immediately performed an uppercut that caused a Shockwave around him

"Oh no...." Raku who saw this was at first convinced Victor had easily defeated the monster but instead he saw that all of its faces we're now crazily smiling and in the next second it's scorpion like tail charged up a red beam and fired at Victor who was hit point blank and launched back and for Aizawa and Raku he was a blur

"Damn it!" Aizawa shot 2 Arrows before coming down and dashing towards the beast before Raku went behind the tree's to take cover and began shooting it all of his bullets basically did nothing while Aizawa's arrow who had been able to pierce it's skin were ripped off any form of damage was regenerated, Aizawa slid between it's legs while dodging a swipe from it's claws and soon after fired another arrow towards its nape but the arrow had 3 Grenades and as soon as they made contact exploded but alas it did nothing to the monster except enraging it further.

(Meanwhile with Victor)

"Well ain't this a predicament"

'Great it's on the same level as me....' Victor complained as he got up from the rubble of a house he crashed into before coming to a realization

"SHIT! IT'S THE SAME LEVEL AS ME!" Victor regenerated his wounds before charging towards the direction he came from and as he was running he came across Rem

"REM THEY NEED OUR HELP!" Rem seeing his serious expression began releasing her mana and eventually a pink glowing horn grew on her forehead while Victor began running demonic energy across his whole body and due to the fact his strength is now considered to be as strong as a peak High-Class Devil his body ahd now adapted to not take damage from his own lightning

*ROAAAAAAAAR!!!*

Victor and Rem winced on the loudness of the monstrous roar and finally they we're able to come across it and saw a bloodied Aizawa protecting a heavily injured Raku

"Rem if you can try to heal them!" Rem nodded while trying to control herself as after releasing her horn her instincts we're trying to get a hold of her

Victor leaped towards the beast finally pulling out Red Queen and slashing it's throat and immediately had to dodge a tentacle and finally slicing towards it throat once again before finally backing away

'The second cut was shallow and I know it isn't me so it's probably it's adaptation skill, if I cant damage it with blunt attacks.. "

Victor began releasing demonic energy before it slowly projected a figure that was now floating above him this figure was holding a long katana that looked alot like Yamato but It didn't end there as Victor equipped it with overture.

[DEVIL TRIGGER INCOMPLETE!]

Thanks to finally awakening his Devil Bringer he now had access to the incomplete verison of Nero's true Devil Trigger from DMC4, but the strange thing about it was that thanks to Ophis resting inside the Devil Bringer it affected him as his Devil Trigger was not only releasing a blue aura but purple and black sparks of energy from time to time.

Victor leaped at the beast and cleaving its front paw off while his projection slashed a wave of energy that as fired at Victor, Rem on the other hand retracted her horn to save mana as she was finished healing Aizawa and now focused on Raku who was shaking from fear. Rem wasn't that proficient healing but she had enough experience with water magic to heal wounds but not any decapitated limbs or life threatening wounds like a strike to the heart

BAAM!

Victor couldn't dodge or block it's tentacle as both him and his projection had to block 2 other tentacles

Victor was able stop himself from being launched any further with his wings but the beast then began charging Mana from it's mouths and fired it at not only Victor but as well as Rem who had barely used her Morningstar to block the attack on how it was able to perfectly fire at where Rem was while in high-speed combat with Victor was due to the fact that one it's faces had a pair familiar white eyes white veins seemingly clenching around it

'What broken privilege bitches we're reincarnated here!?' Victor began dodging it's attacks that we're slowly catching up with his Victor decided and threw BlueRose and Tomboy towards Aizawa who caught it while he pulled out Ebony and Ivory after tossing RedQueen at another arm he projected

"AIZAWA PLACE THE GUN DIRECTLY UNDER THE PAL-" But before he could say anything any further Victor was interrupted with a tentacle being swung at him

*BANG!*

"Hah!?"

"DIRECTLY UNDER THE PALM!"

"Got it!"

Aizawa doing as instructed with a click connected BlueRose with Tomboy and the Devil Breaker expanded around it.

"Pull the chord!-"

Aizawa with all his strength did what Victor told him and Tomboys engine roared to life as it began pumping demonic energy though BlueRose

'Its getting heavier!' Aizawa was slowly losing his grip on the handle and Victor knew it as the density of demonic energy gathering on it was too much for him to handle, Rem noticed Aizawa struggling and grabbed the handle along with Aizawa and despite her being many times stronger than him it BlueRose was being overloaded with energy and even with Rem's help they could barely hold it up.

"WAIT FOR MY SIGNAL!" Victor rushed towards the beast and tackled it grabbed it by the chest and with the help of his projection her lifted it before slamming the beast down snapping it's neck, but of course it didn't kill it as it began regenerating it.

" NOW! NOW! NOW!"

And with the signal Aizawa pulled the trigger and wave of demonic energy rushed towards the intended spot Victor aimed for, the blindspot of the Byakugan

BANG!!!

As soon as the blast made contact with the wekspot it exploded destroying half of its figure but that wasn't the end as Victor gathered his Demonic energy and released in the remaining parts of its body burning it to a crisp effectively killing it.

"Finally..." Victor landed on his knees clearly exhausted while the other let out a breath of relief

'Wait if we killed it why was there no prompt?'

All of a sudden Victor saw a coin drop infront of him and once he looked up he saw a pure black muscular figure with multiple razor sharp teeth filled jaws all over it's body, and suddenly he felt as if he was being crushed by a boulder
