Execution? Nah

(No I'm not back I just decided that I'll finish this short chapter so I can work on the future one's when I actually return so for now enjoy)

The Soul

It was a strange concept in any reality that science reigned supreme in would tell you that the soul is nothing but tomfoolery, yet even if they deny it's very existence they couldn't truly prove that it doesn't exist

But one of the conceptual parts of the soul an 'Inferno' was present in any demon of the DMC universe even if they were a descendant of one they would still have that 'Inferno' in the, but right now that wasn't the point.

'What the hell..'

Victor sighed as him along with Raku were now in public about to be 'Executed', Aizawa were only looking at them in confusion while Rem took one look at the executioner and understood the situation

"We are all gathered here to see the execution of these two outsiders who were found covered in blood!, with the body of poor Tanaka just around the corner from their location!"

Every citizen gathered all began throwing rocks at them Victor of course wasn't phased by their attempt but Raku on the other hand was enranged

"Not the face!"

"SILENCE!"

Victor began ignoring all their shouts and instead focus on the two new individuals within the crowd specifically a young man and what seemed to be a little that was actually a girl

"Hey Aniki that guy looks alot like you!"

This was Dororo of course talking to Hyakkimaru while mentioning Raku who ever since getting his 'Template' looked oddly similar to Hyakkimaru, but the young man however was more focused on the executioner.

"I'll go first let's just get this over with..." Victor prseneted his nape while slightly yawning while the crowd just looked at him dumbfounded

"Mhm! At least you have the honor to bravely go out." The so called executioner readied his blade while Aizawa pinched his temple in annoyance but he only hoped that it was part of Victor's Plan.

"Shine!!!" With a swing of his blade he swung down at Victor who didn't do anything and allowed the blade to come in contact with his skin

*CLANG!!!!!*

And so the blade instantly shattered to while Victor leaped up and kicked the executioner on the head snapping his neck while Raku broke out of the poorly tied rope and took a terrible boxing stance, the onlookers were about to run when suddenly the executioner Victor 'Killed' began to stand up despite having his neck snapped.

"Damn you!"

The once Human like aura of the Executioner began changing and in an instant Hyakkimaru drew out his prosthetic blades and swiped at the demon who easily caught his weapons

"That aint gonna work!"

Victor commented while out of no where made his Nichirin Katana appear, while the Demon executioner only looked at him in shocked on how the weapon appeared despite him 'Capturing' them earlier and seeing no weapon in their hands.

'Its fine! No weapon can hurt me! I'm just like him!' But sadly for the Demon he didn't anticipate that in the next second he was now on the ground with his head decapitated with his body turning to ash.

"Another Demon down" Victor sheated his Nichirin away while the civilians watching who were initially terrified finally placed the dots together and deduced Victor and his friends were a demon hunter, and the demon was probably the cause of poor Tanaka's death

Since unlike people would think if they see something supernatural and dangerous instead of fearing the one that eliminated the threat they would obviously praise the person responsible for it.

"THAT'S WHY YOU GOT US CAPTURED!?!?!" Raku on the other hand couldn't believe it as he believed Victor had some other plan but killing a demon he could have killed earlier would save them less trouble.

"I can see that look on your face, I want you to come up with a plan to explain why the two of us were covered in blood to the townspeople that wouldn't make us sound crazy saying a demon exploded on us"

Victor's claim made Raku immediately closed his mouth as he understood what Victor meant, they were covered in blood and couldn't wash themselves quickly as well as the apparent corspe of some man name Tanaka that was near their location it was suspicious as hell!

"Amazing!" Dororo looked at with an astonished expression while Hyakkimaru was frustrated as he didn't get any of limbs back and it was of course natural since unlike other demons this one is a biologically made demon(Basically Demons in this world can actually make spiritual deals with humans while any demon that isn't actually a demon like the ones in the demon slayer universe can't )

"God this quest is gonna be the death of me..." Raku was slumped down but looked at Hyakkimaru and to him it was like looking at a mirror

"See see! He looks just like you Aniki!" But Dororo suddenly remembered his dear Aniki couldn't even see so instead of looking at Raku he turned his gaze to Victor and his face had a confused expression

The reason for that was Hyakkimaru use his ability to see the 'Flames' of living beings 'Soul' as sight he only knew 4 colors which were green for anything of plant life and those of true good, red for demons or anyone who were pure evil. Yellow for something that's between those which he 'Saw' from the spirit in the village both he and dororo last came from.

And finally Grey for anything and anyone that were none of the above and nothing but normal humans, but just a few seconds ago he witnessed what he believed to be a normal human change from Grey with a few red spots to instantly pure red in the form of the now dead demon executioner. But now here stood Victor who were neither of these but his was the color Blue with hints of purple that ran across his whole body like lines two colors he had never seen before

Victor of course didn't know this as he had never even seen his souls color before, but that wasn't the main point as he frustrated since the only thing he found out today was not only were Kimetsu No Yaiba type demons in this world but the Reincarnator they were targetting definitely wasn't someone who was recently reincarnated

'Its either the system lied which is a low chance or the targets system tricks the system of others with fake data...' Because Victor knew he wasn't the only reincarnator with a group that did missions with a verified system he theorized that there was probably some society and after asking the system about this topic once before alll he got was a simple your Rank is too Low.

'Damn it this could be bad...'

Victor knew they now had to be more careful ad the next thing they know they would probably fighting someone who was above his and Rems Rank and that could be a problem since even after all this time despite reaching the strength of the actual DMC4 Nero he was still far weaker as his Devil Trigger wasn't even his true one but hopefully that Yamato would somehow help with his progression but right now it was just a broken sword inside his Devil Bringer collecting his Energy.

"Oi V you alright?" Aizawa asked Victor who only nodded at him as before coming to the village he had asked everyone to call him V as his name was obviously foreign from theirs as it would cause trouble Japan hasn't even made contact with other countries that much until later on after in the mid 1500s so his name would cause trouble, thus in public he would be known as V

"Yeah just a bit stiff around the neck" Victor cracked his neck a few times before suddenly all of them now had a system panel infront of them and it wasn't good news.

The Targets system was designed by a higher rouge 'God' and was able to trick the system in collecting data but now said data is available, and since the missions is underway the system cannot cancel as the members have already been too far in said mission
