Two indomitable forces met at this moment, both fighting for supremacy as it seemed to be a draw. Suddenly a spark grew among one of the forces. A head flew out, aswell an arm.
The wolf's body fell limp as blood spurted out of it's severed neck. On the other side a young man lay in a pool of blood; being near dead if one looked closer they'd notice that the man only had 3 limbs, his left arm gone.
An unknown period of time passed before a ding sound woke Leon up, his eyes heavy from exhaustion.
**Gained 53,000 Qi!** Leon's spirit was lightened as he heard the reward of his struggle, breaking through multiple times.
However his moment of bliss ended rather soon as he felt the numbness in his left arm.
"Why can't I move it..." Leon said in a tired voice.
**It's gone. That was your sacrifice for using power beyond you, it will heal the next time you return don't worry. The cost was deducted from the wolf's Qi** Leo's voice echoed in Leon's mind
"So I had my first loss huh, losing to someone a bit ahead of me, what kind of a genius am I?" Leon said as he mustered up all his strength to sit up
**You beat someone a major realm ahead of you, while being at a 4th of your maximum strength in the Meridian Realm, you're a genius. Now look at your compensation for the pain.** Leo said, almost smirking at the end in anticipation.
"Hmm... Status." The familiar black panel appeared Infront of his bloody eyes, though there was quite the noticable change in it.

"Oh? New items, what's this Aura for Leo?" Leon questioned as he tried to sense his inventory only to find it empty
**Aura's are just that, the feel you give off, some have a weak aura others have a strong one. Ever heard of the immortal Aura? That's an item like your Heavenly King Aura** Leo explained
"What's it do? I hope it's not just a flashy cosmetic to make me look cool" Leon thought of the games he played as a kid...
He wouldn't become like those Chinese main characters, right?
**Of course not! I couldn't care less about being cool, the strongest is naturally the coolest. Aura's weaken those who you deem enemies and strengthen your allies. Some special Aura's exist too, Asura's Aura, Healing Aura, Death Aura...lots of different ones.** Leo explained the intricacies of Aura's
"So what does the Heavenly King one do? And why does it say (2/8)?" Leon asked what had been on his mind since the start.
**Your Aura weakens you enemy by 50%, aswell as strengthens you by 50%. As for why it says 2/8, that's because your Aura is a set. You need to gain all 8 Aura's to have the full power. You'll need to beat someone 4 Major Realms ahead of you if you want the final reward.** Leo sighed as he thought of the impossible task to get "that" Aura.
"4 Major Realms? Are you nuts? I don't even know if the progenitor of my bloodline can do that." Leon fell back on the ground, going dizzy from the thought of that craziness.
**He could, his record was 6 Realms. Don't measure his strength by normal standards Leon. Now get up and start slaying those Foundation Realm Beasts.** Leo egged him on
"Oh yeah, thanks to the aura I have strength equivalent to 22.5 meridians, which is 67.5 for me..add on the 50% decrease on enemies. Screw my left arm, I'm gonna paint this forest red with one hand!" Leon declared as he jumped on his feet.
A few minutes later....
Leon focused on a huge black bear, with a foundation of 46m it was much stronger than the Wolf from before.
Nonetheless add on the ridiculous boosts Leon got and the debuff's the bear received and in a mere fraction of a second, it's fate was severed with one swing from Leon.
**Gained 96,000 Qi!** A ding sounded, followed by several breakthroughs for Leon.
"Status!" Leon said excitedly as he honed in on his next prey

"I'll make it quick" before the powerful foundation beast could react a bone chilling voice entered it's ears as it's head was cut clean off.
**Gained 90,000 Qi!** The burst of Qi once again opened a few meridians for him, helping him to breakthrough the Eighth State of the Meridian Realm.
About an hour later, a Mid Tier Foundation Beast lost it's head as a magical ding rang out in Leon's head as his status popped up by itself
