Chapter 5: Sending Apostle to HFIL

(3rd Person's POV)

Dild was discussing his plan to tighten the security of the tower to avoid whoever targeting him and his Guild.

After the discussion, he retired to his bedroom.

Although though he got the power to cast spells of all four elements (fire, water, earth, and wind), he was still weak if compared to what other monster mages could do in this world.

Dild might not be intelligent or wise but he wasn't stupid and negligent to ignore the threat lingering around Tower of Heaven.

He could also see what everyone was doing on a screen.

He was always monitoring everyone in the Tower of Heaven. After a brief go-through, he switched the screen to outside the tower. What appeared next jolted his soul.

"Erza-chan?!"

Outside the tower, he could see Erza hiding behind bushes and seemed to be… waiting for someone?

With a shaking finger, he clicked the surveillance outside on door and found the dead bodies of his guards.

'Then if Erza-chan is waiting for someone, doesn't that mean that person… is already in tower?!!'

He immediately opened an Emergency Interface where he could close all doors of the Tower permanently.

But before he could press the button, something moved above him with fast speed and then the area on his left side exploded.

"EIII!" He jumped on his bed with fear and found a jewel sword where the area just exploded.

Slowly turning his head while hoping to wake up from this dream, his eyes fell on a man.

He was wearing what appeared to be an expensive two-piece suit that he had seen in his past life. But it was nothing that terrified him most was the sword on his hand and a Desert Eagle.

"W-who are you?! How did you get here?! And is that Desert Eagle from Call of Duty?!" He was terrified but he managed to ask some questions while also calling his Tower of Heaven System.

'Tower of Heaven System!! System!! Dammit, why is this bit*h not working?!!!' Dild thought but no matter what he did; he couldn't call the system while the masked man was calmly walking towards him.

"This is not a shonen manga where I have to explain shit to an ugly bastard like you. Besides, I am going to send you a place where you should belong called Hell For Infinite Losers." The masked man said while slowly fastening his steps.

Then without announcing the speed of his moments, the masked man tore reality and flashed in front of him in the next second.

"Bye." The masked man said and swung his sword.

However, the sword seemed to pass through Dild.

[Flash Step (Passive):

The user automatically flashes back 3 feet when the enemy makes direct death or lethal attack.]

"Haha! You flashy fu*ker! You should have used Desert Eagle earlier! Now die!!" Dild smirked and shot a big fireball.

The fireball flew towards the masked man with but to Dild's bad luck, the masked man dodged the fireball easily.

"So you want to be shot by my Exclusive Full Silver Desert Eagle 50 AE? Alright then, since you managed to trick me, I will fulfill your wish." The masked man chuckled and showed Dild the magazine of his gun loaded with only one bullet. "Sorry bro but I can't waste more than a bullet for a fuk*ng pig like you."

"WHY WON'T YOU DIE!!" Dild had enough of the mysterious man. He started bombarding with attacks of different elements.

Wind Cutters, Fire Balls, Water Gun, and even Rock Drills but none even touched the mysterious man in black. With every attack, the masked man dodged and moved forward, Dild only perceived him as death approached.

With no ends to run and losing his Magic Power, Dild finally gave up.

"W-Why are you doing this?! I will give you money and I promise I won't do this-" Before Dild could speak more words, with an explosion like a thunderclap, his belly exploded with chunks of meats and other bodily fluids flying away in thin air.

With no energy to even speak or spare for his large body, his legs collapsed.

With blood and tears leaving Dild's mouth and eyes, he saw the monster in front of me. He knew that he is done for. Then as if his soul remembered his past life full of sins, he finally realized that he was trash and trash through and then his vision blacked out when a blade pierced his skull.

However, different from his past life and his ugly emotions, he was finally able to smile and if he could speak a word then it would be-

"-' Thank you'. That's what he wanted to say." I said, retracting my sword from his skull, cleaning it, and putting it back in the scabbard.

For a person who has taken only lives, I know that smile. Sometimes your life is so trashy that, even when you are aware of your own disgust, you can't help but simply sink in the mud while waiting for someone to pull you out in the light of death.

Even though he already died, it was probably due to his negligence for not realizing his mistakes. If he hadn't moved carelessly, the world wouldn't have issued the mission and he didn't have to die again.

"Sigh* Putting these depressing matters aside, hey trashy system, how the hell he was using his System abilities when it shouldn't even be working?"

The dude was using all elemental magic when people can barely use a single element. It was obvious that those were system-granted abilities.

Apostles can still use abilities or magic spells that the system has granted that has a 'connection' to the law of this world. Also, anything new that an apostle learns with the help of his system cannot be disabled.]

"This useless idiot, don't make a habit of it."

I was started to get fed up with this useless system. I did take precautions but I didn't know the mage was so diverse. If there was an experienced fighter then there was a chance that he could have tricked me.

Then I felt a sudden chill and a system notification window popped up.

I knew that I have shaken hands with something even worse than the devil, a useless system with endless trouble.
