Chapter 78: Calamity Strikes All Equally! Pt.2
~Third POV~
As the members of the Elite Seven that were above the river attacked the last remaining Tengu Mercenaries for the Empire they suddenly noticed that their instincts kicked in at the presence of someone dangerous approaching them.
Looking at the sky wearing his mask the first to respond to the situation was Tsukushi as she notified everyone with a serious face, "Everyone! Look it's the walking calamity! That guy on the wanted poster!"
Gai that was finishing off a Tengu Mercenary looked up seeing the wanted person as he stood on his guard voicing his opinion to the members, "What the hell! The poster never said the dude could fucking fly! The wanted poster never said this was this how he escaped from being captured?"
Glaring at the man coming towards their direction Cornelia began to ready her fist as she motions her family members at this, "Whatever the case is his someone that we can kill. This villain needs to be brought in by the might of the Empire Justice!"
Hearing that as Tatsumi kept the high ground using the wind he generates to keep himself floating above them he saw the numbers and frowns at this, 'I see Green above but no Akame… that means she's underwater taking care of the grunts. Damn but from seeing their auras with my Haki each of these kids are no slouches. Best to pull back my punches for now as I still need to conserve energy.'
*Tap*
Tatsumi began to float down to the ground level on one of the boats they already cleared the enemies of as he openly mocks them with his hand motion to bring it on as he talked down to them, "Come on now? I thought this Elite Seven would be at least entertaining to me at the least. Let me see… Poney, Cornliea, Gai, Najasho, Green, and Tsukushi is it? Shame Akame and Gozuki the Killer aren't here to play as I wanted to meet the two. Sigh…"
Hearing their names being openly called out made their blood freeze on the spot.
Each of them was thinking how a wanted man knows him or the fact was how he knew all of the members.
Worry was apparent in their minds but being trained as assassins during a young age they knew they can't falter here with a dangerous opponent in front of them.
Tatsumi was meanwhile laughing inside his head already beginning to mess with them with some simple truths as he thought to himself seriously, 'Hahaha… I guess the minute their identities are revealed they froze on the spot guess they didn't expect that. But seriously though I have to be careful with them.'
Taking a stance Tatsumi waited patiently to see who would go take the first move as he doesn't want to use any of his Danger Beast abilities of [Big Leaguer] and he already used [Shambhala] to take Chelsea.
He can't exactly use too much stamina or else he might get caught so the next chance was CQC for him to use to spare some of his stamina.
*SWOOSH*
The first to strike was Gai with his Shingu [Rare Suit] as it takes the form of armor. Rare Suit can manipulate soil. It is unable to create soil out of nothing. Its biggest advantage is burrowing underground, which can be used to surprise attack unaware foes, however, using it puts great strain on the user's body.
Gai rushed in to attack Tatsumi with his mole-like shaped fist came intending to crush his skull as he attacked, "NO WAY A BAD GUY LIKE YOU WILL WIN AGAINST THE HEROES OF THE EMPIRE!!"
At that Tatsumi merely scoffed at that as his memories of a certain rabbit hero were reminded of those words as he narrows his eyes at Gai for using those words while working with a true evil country.
*Plat*
Just as Gai was about to attack Tatsumi raised his hand catching the surprised Gai as he began to crush his fist as he spoke out to him coldly, "You sure have the balls to say that about being a hero working for a corrupted Empire?"
*BAM*
*CRACK*
*SPLASH*
That was when Tatsumi began to slam Gai as he used his fist and slammed him into the boat causing it to break down on the platform as the other six began to hurry to their family member aid.
But Tatsumi wasn't done yet as he began to use barrages of punches as he uses this chance to get Gai Shengu [Rare Suit] in the process, "Listen here punk let these words go through your head for this is the meaning of a true hero! ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA! ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!"

Najasho analyzed the attack as he narrowed his eyes at Tatsumi as he thinks to himself the odds of winning in a serious tone as Gai is getting the living shit beaten out of him, 'Odds are will lose one member if we fight together on the river. If it were land we can win sadly though our odds are not in our favor. Fortunately for Gai that father and Akame are underwater but he can just fly out of the river…'
*Swoosh*
What Najasho thought was correct as soon as Tatsumi was about to land in the water covering everyone as he got himself on the air but not before he used [Overhaul] to forcibly remove Gai [Rare Suit] into his hand as he was holding after beating the living shit out of him.
As soon as Tatsumi got up in the air his [Observation Haki] detected an attack coming in his direction as he swirls around the attack that took the shape of a bullet that came from Tsukushi from her Shingu [Prometheus].
[Prometheus] is a Shingu it takes the form of dual pistols. The weapon can cause the trajectory of its bullets to twist and turn and is capable of an array of different forms of firing. When used many times in a row, its accuracy declines, making the timing of its use critical making it able to manipulate the bullet's directions.
Moving away from the spot Tsukushi scoffed at this but then noticed that Tatsumi was holding on to the [Rare Suit] belonging to Gai as she spoke, "Hey! That's Gai's weapon how did he get it from him!"
Now more than ever they saw the suit suddenly vanish as Tatsumi used [Pocket] on it for safekeeping as he spoke to them landing on another boat, "Ah… that's one down and few more to go. And please make this a challenge kiddy."
This annoyed Poney as she immediately rushed overusing her Shingu [Yocto-bottoms] to quickly increase her speed to outpace her enemy in front of her.
[Yocto-bottoms] is a Shingu that takes the form of a pair of trousers, more specifically its fabric as it grants the user accelerated abilities and amplified leg power. Since it doesn't increase either of them very much, it still relies on its user's original strength.
*Bang*
*SWOOSH*
Tatsumi manage to dodge the incoming attack from Poney as she continued to attack with her speed using leg strikes but Tatsumi managed to dodge them with his reflexes and guidance of his [Observation Haki] detecting where she'll attack next.
Thinking this Tatsumi compares himself to the rest of the Elite Seven of their abilities in an honest tone, 'Huh? Have to hand it to them they can certainly keep up with me in speed or surpass me when I'm not using my abilities. I can safely say that these guys are my equals if I was not going all out. But…'
As he continued to dodge, he noticed that two more of the Elite Seven came over to fight against Tatsumi as Cornelia and Najasho both rushed in from behind to come to an attack as one to take him down.
[Crushing King] is one of the Shingu that took the form of a gauntlet. The Shingu granted its user super-human strength, but it could damage the user if used improperly.
[Water-Dragon Sword] is a that takes the form of a broadsword. Its special ability allows the user to become extremely powerful for three minutes, but at a cost; the user becomes extremely fatigued after that time limit is expired. When the Shingu activates its ability, the user's hair grows much longer and their eyes become slit, akin to that of a dragon's.
Najasho activated his Shingu to quickly deal with the Walking Calamity as Cornelia readies a pressurized air punch using her [Crushing King] as Poney was distracting Tatsumi to get the two readies to attack.
Cornelia then began to attack Tatsumi along with Najasho ready to use a pressurized air blade slice at him as Poney quickly evades Tatsumi position to another boat as she spoke, "Your evil ways have come to an end 'Walking Calamity' we will be the ones to bring the peace to the Empire! Good riddance!"
Tatsumi just smirked under the mask as he activated [Eyes of the Lord] and copied down their moves with his eyes.
*SWOOSH*
*BOOM*
*SHING*
At the moment when they released their united attack of a pressurized wind punch and slash attack Tatsumi dodge it at the moment they released it he used [Bullet Time] to quickly go behind both of time…
Although Tatsumi was surprised that Najasho managed to track him his eyes narrowed at this as he thinks to himself as he began to move to attack him, 'I see I guess that [Water-Dragon Sword] gives him a buff bonus to everything. Even enough for his reaction time to see me come near them from behind… not a bad weapon.'
*Bam*

At that moment Tatsumi used the [Hasshoken] jab strikes to the sides of their bodies as Tatsumi takes the [Water-Dragon Sword] from him and used [Overhaul] to disassemble the gauntlet of [Crushing King] onto his arm instead as time began to resume to normal time again…
*BOOM*
*Splash*
*BOOM*
*Splash*
In that brief moment of hitting the two to the sides and Najasho transformation undone since he no longer held his sword, they were sent flying to the sides as Poney responded to this with worry in her voice as her two family members landed on the river, "Najasho! Cornelia! You damn bastard! I'll make you – "
That was when she got hold by Green as he carefully examines the situation with him pushing his glasses telling her to be calm having faith, "Poney! We need to be calm right now or else the Walking Calamity will take our Shingu's as he has with Gai, Najasho, and Cornelia… from the way he's been acting he has been only taking the Shingu's for what reason we don't know but we can't let him take the rest!"
Tatsumi for his part nodded his head lightly at Green quick thinking as he only came here for the Shingu's, Green, Akame, and [Murasame].
Taking his direction to the last three remaining of Green, Poney, and Tsukushi as he began to get tried over stressing himself to them, "Sigh… you three are the only ones left standing. Your friends Gai, Najasho, and Cornelia are annoying but take them out that leaves you three standing. The noncombatant for close quarters my specialty."
Green gripped his long whip-like object with a snake-patterned handle weapon Shingu [Sidewinder]. Sidewinder is a Shingu that moves per its possessor's will. Its strong characteristics can make it difficult to maneuver.
Tatsumi already stored the [Crushing King] and [Water-Dragon Sword] away into his [Pocket] but that was when he frowns of whose coming next…

Multiple people started to come out from the river as Gai, Cornelia, and Najasho came out wet and looked incredibly angry at the Walking Calamity in front of them. But Tatsumi afforded to ignore them as he focuses on the two real threats.
Akame and Gozuki finally came out as they both narrowed their eyes at him.

A/N: Here's Part 2 of the encounter as the next one will be one on one fight with Akame. Also, the reason the MC spared them was so that he can convince Akame to his side but that won't be as easy as he thought.
A/N Extra: Also one more thing by chance do you want the MC to fail at things to make seem... realistically possible? Trust me it won't or will be important for what happens next. Hehe...
