Perched beside the ancient tree on the core island, the beating heart of Nexus's world, Nexus opens his eyes and utters, "It was fun."

Turning his gaze toward Lumos, he inquires, "What do you think?"

Lumos, once a transparent screen resembling a system interface, has undergone a remarkable metamorphosis. No longer confined to its previous appearance, Lumos now manifests as a vibrant sphere enveloped by three dynamic, colorful trails. These trails elegantly spiral around Lumos, weaving a captivating dance of hues.

Hearing Nexus's questions, Lumos responds, "I think it will be gratifying to play, with amazing combat options, strategies, and unique enemies. However, Master, I believe increasing the drop chances of the rank 6 and above artifacts will enhance the fun for all players."

Nexus nods and says, "Do it then."

"Certainly, Master," Lumos acknowledges.

As Lumos begins implementing the changes, Nexus reflects on the past few origin months. Amid occasional moments of leisure, Nexus devoted his time to crafting, modifying & testing the game, and making various enhancements to his realm. The most prominent change is Lumos's appearance. Considering that Lumos never relied on a text-based communication panel, Nexus found the previous appearance unnecessary, leading to the transformation into the current vibrant sphere with dynamic trails.

Additionally, Nexus decided to simplify the time units' names. Initially experimenting with unique names, he found himself occasionally having some problems with it. So to fix it he decided to maintain simplicity. That's why he added the word "Origin" before each unit name, resulting in terms like origin second, origin minute, origin hour, and so on. This made sure to have unique time zones along with simple time unit names.

Another aspect worth mentioning is the duration of the time units. Initially, when Nexus introduced unique time zones, he structured it with a hierarchy where 100 units equated to another larger unit, and so forth. At the onset, Nexus believed this system to be flawless. However, as he continued to acclimate to his existence as a human, drawing on memories of his former homeworld's time zone, he began to realize a discrepancy. One Origin year, a term he introduced, seemed excessively long, nearly equivalent to 80 years in his former homeworld—an impractical span.

Seeking equilibrium, Nexus revisited and rectified this temporal inconsistency. Beginning with the foundational units—Origin second, minute, hour, and day—he considered his sporadic sleep patterns. Equating 2 of his former homeworld's days to 1 Origin day, he adjusted the speed of an Origin second, resulting in 100 Origin minutes, or 1 Origin hour, being equivalent to 2 hours on his former homeworld. This adjustment maintained harmony, with 25 Origin hours equating to 1 Origin day.

Moving on to Origin month and year, Nexus deemed 365 days too brief for a year. Reflecting on this, he opted for a structure where 500 days of his former homeworld, comprised 1 Origin year, translating to 250 Origin days. For Origin months, Nexus settled on having 10, rendering 1 Origin month equivalent to 25 Origin days. This recalibration aimed to strike a balance between the cosmic and the familiar, providing a more coherent temporal framework within Nexus's realm.

Amid these adjustments, Nexus also modified the Game Creation Dimension and its functions. But we will get to this part later.

Reflecting on the past, Nexus thinks, "Over the past few origin months, I made numerous modifications to the realm. The changes consumed a considerable amount of Origin EC, and I almost faced trouble if not for Lumos. It was a bit of a setback, but it taught me a valuable lesson—never rush all the changes at once. Taking it slowly ensures a perfect result. Haste, more often than not, leads to problems."

Nexus smirks, contemplating, "And I've got nothing but time, after all."

As Nexus pondered over his recent endeavors and contemplated the foundational structure of his future plans, a sudden interruption jolted him from his thoughts. Before him, Lumos materialized in a shimmering display of light, bearing news of completed tasks and proposed modifications.

"Master," Lumos began, his voice echoing melodically in the serene atmosphere. "All is done according to your arrangements. And while I was at it, I took the liberty of formulating some plans for gameplay modifications. If you would permit it, these changes can be applied at once."

Curious, Nexus inquired, "What might be the changes?"

In response, Lumos conjured a panel before Nexus, displaying the proposed modifications. "These are the modifications that I deemed necessary," Lumos explained. "I believe these can increase the fun of players. I also included the reasons for it."

Nexus carefully scrutinized the changes, considering their potential impact.

After thorough consideration, Nexus regarded Lumos with a thoughtful expression. "Proceed as planned, Lumos," he said, nodding in approval. "Your insights are invaluable in refining the gaming experience."

"Right away, Master," Lumos affirmed with a nod, acknowledging Nexus's directive.

With that Lumos prepared to implement the modifications, Nexus eagerly anticipated the transformation that would further shape the virtual realm he had meticulously crafted.

After applying the modifications Lumos announced, "The modifications have been implemented, Master."

Nexus nodded in approval. "Well done," he commended.

Curious, Lumos inquired, "What are your next plans, Master?"

Nexus paused, pondering his reply, then shifted his gaze toward the horizon. "Well... For now, I don't have any concrete plans," he admitted. 'However, upon careful consideration, I concluded that it's essential for me to gain some experience firsthand, as I currently lack any. While I may not have detailed strategies or plans at the moment, I do harbor some general ideas. Nonetheless, I remain open to adjusting them based on the outcomes of our initial run."

Nexus then turned to Lumos, his gaze earnest. "What do you say?"

Lumos replied with a thoughtful tone, "Considering the concerns you describe, along with the fact that we will be dealing with the Infinite Universes, I believe it is the best choice."

Nexus nodded, affirming Lumos's assessment. "Great then. Now, as I had instructed before, did you find one suitable universe for me to start?"

"Yes, Master," Lumos replied promptly. With a flicker of light, Lumos conjured a panel before him, displaying the chosen universe. "This is the Universe I found, Master. While it is relatively new, it holds the potential to be a great universe. Various civilizations inhabit it, some significantly advanced compared to others in similar stages of development. Moreover, it houses advanced civilizations with low corruption rates, ideal for your initial experience, Master."

Nexus carefully reviewed the information presented on the panel before nodding in agreement. "Hmm... Let's start with this Universe then."

"Certainly, Master," Lumos acknowledged, ready to initiate the next phase of Nexus's journey.
