Lover's Quarrel and an Emergency!

<|Jasmine's POV|>

Just before Touka and Esdeath can begin ripping each other's throats out, they were frozen in place before suddenly being kicked out.

[Due to breaking one of the regulations of the Dimensional Chat Group, members Sleepdeprived and The Empress have been kicked out of the Side Mission and are temporarily banned from entering Missions for 24 hours. Repeated offense will garner more punishments.]

Seeing the notification, I raised an eyebrow. This had not appeared when we tried our little experiment before, but I could only guess that the DCG knew of our intentions and hadn't given us punishment. However, going back into the present, I gave Marinette a withering smile.

"Penny, I'll go talk to Touka. Can you...can you take it from here?" Penny and 2B had grown a lot, knowing more about how normal interactions worked, so I trust that they could deal with the explanations here. Plus, Kim was still with them.

Smiling sadly, Penny placed a hand on my shoulder as she replied. "Go. You don't have to worry about us."

With her permission, I abandoned the Side Mission and immediately found myself back in my room. As my phone began blowing up with notifications, I took the time to gather my thoughts. Once ready, I went to the Chat Group.

[Yuri had entered the chat.]

What I found in the chat was Touka and Esdeath exchanging expletives, and I cringed at the more dangerous threats they were giving to one another. Honestly, I wasn't expecting such a reaction from Esdeath. Well, I didn't even know that Esdeath was one of the new members, but still, I didn't think I could get her to be this...into me? This was some Yandere level shit. I mean, I'm flattered I just charmed the insane woman with an innocent smile, but this was just absurd! Though, most of all, this makes me feel...blue.

[Yuri: @Sleepdeprived, @The Empress, shut it. Touka, we'll talk privately while you, Esdeath, wait.]

I didn't even give them time to react as I went into a private chat with Touka.

[Sleepdeprived: Jasmine! Waht the fucj was that!!?]

[Sleepdeprived: That bitch just suddenly creot up and tells you this!? In front of m y face!!?]

[Sleepdeprived: What does that slut htibk she is!? Huh!?]

[Sleepdeprived: Fuckibg bithc!]

As I read Touka continue to talk smack about Esdeath, I can't help but feel hurt and guilty. I didn't like Touka being this made. I don't like °anybody° being this mad. It hurts to know that Touka's mad and it makes me a little scared for myself, Touka and Esdeath. And I felt guilty because I also had a hand in this. So, after calming my erratic heart, I finally began.

[Yuri: Touka. I love you. You know that, right?]

[Sleepdrived: Yeah]

[Yuri: I'm flattered that you would react like this....but I'm also disappointed...]

As I admitted this, Touka was understandably livid.

[Sleepdeprived: Huh!? The fuck do you mena!?]

Pushing down the hurt, I trudged on.

[Yuri: From now on, will this be the way you way you'd react whenever someone expresses their attraction for me? Attack them?]

Touka had gone silent at that, so I continued.

[Yuri: I know I don't make it easy for you with me checking out every hot piece of ass out there, but please, Touka, tone down your possessiveness! I myself am possessive of you, heck, I'll probably do the same thing as you did if someone kept on hitting on you in front of me, but to just suddenly attack them? Touka, please, don't.]

Touka was still silent, and I can't help the feeling of dread that was beginning to clasp its grasp around me. Until, finally, Touka answered.

[Sleepdeprived: You're a slut, Jasmine.]

Reading this, I can't help the tears that begin to cloud my eyes. This wasn't the sexual-slut, but the insult-slut and it °hurts° that Touka's saying this.

[Sleepdeprived: You're a fucking bitch that would like to hump every fucking attractive woman she sees, and I hate you for that.]

At this point I was having a hard time to breath as tears began to fall. But still, I kept on.

[Sleepdeprived: But you're my bitch and I'm not letring you fucking go.]

A gasp of relief escaped from me as the tension that weighed down on my shoulders left, allowing the numb feeling to quickly disappear.

[Sleepdeprived: I've known you for months. I know that you love sweet desserts, you drink a fucking lot of milk tea, you probably have a multiple personality disorder, you fucking think old people are adorable, you desperately want to be strong, and you keep on saying stupid shit like being part of a harem. I hate that a pair of tits can distract you so easily. I hate that you could so easily choose a more beautiful woman than me. I hate that you're so °human°. I hate that you're so °you°!]

[Sleepdeprived: I've known you for months, and despite everything I hate about you, I love you too much to let you go.]

As I cried there on my bed, reading as Touka pointed out my flaws, a teary smile became a permanent fixture on my face.

[Sleepdeprived: I'm sorry about what I said, about my previous actions, but I'll do better.]

[Sleepdeprived: You can go around smelling another bitch's ass all you want, but in the end, you are °my° bitch.]

In the end of it all, I can't help but laugh at loud at Touka's stupid use of expletives. Touka was a standoff-ish woman that would normally not curse, but when she's mad or in the middle of something emotional, she gets like this, expressing her feelings through words like fuck, shit, and bitch. Still, to end all this, I replied with,

[Yuri: Woof.]

After doing one of the things to make a relationship work, communicate, I finally had a chance to deal with our one and only ice-user.

[Yuri: Esdeath.]

[The Empress: Though I have not given you permission to use my name beforehand, I will allow you to do so.]

Reading this, I can't help but feel my eyebrow twitch.

[Yuri: Anyway, I'm sorry about Touka attacking you. It's been a rough month-ish for her seeing me be all-over every beautiful woman I see before we recently got together. She's rather possessive of me, so I'm sorry she got triggered by the way you...approached me.]

[The Empress: Oh no. No harm was done. To be honest, I am amused with how ferocious that tiny woman can be! I also commend her for fighting for what is hers! Truly romantic!]

Seeing that Esdeath wasn't taking any of this in a bad way, I was just glad with it all. The only insane one of the group was fine, doesn't seem to want blood, so, yeah, things should be swell for the time being.

[Esdeath: It just makes fighting for your heart all the more exciting!]

"Huh?"

[Esdeath: Know this, Yuri, you have the most beautiful smile I have ever seen, and no matter what, I will strive to make it mine.]

"Huh?"

[Esdeath: Well, sorry to cut this short, but I must be going now. Goodbye.]

After calming down and checking up on the rest, I re-entered the side mission. Using the chat group, I found the group eating at a stall, where they were seemingly in the middle of a competition. 2B and Penny, our androids, both had stacks upon stacks of...udon bowls?, beside them as they ate and ate °everything° that gets placed in front of them.

Seeing Kim and Marinette who were both cheering on for them, I decided to go join them. After passing through the crowd, I sat beside Marinette, who offered me the menu. While searching for something new to eat, I began questioning the woman.

"So, how have the girls been treating you?" Too bad Touka wouldn't get to be here to join the pair in their eating contest.

"Oh! Everyone has been so good to me!" Hearing her praise, I felt quite proud of my friends. No matter who it was, Penny's sunny disposition can bring out a smile on their faces, 2B's curiosity paired with her innocence simply makes someone want to give her answers, and Kim was an all-around good girl.

"Are you having any trouble understanding the DCG's quote-on-quote purpose?" Would Esdeath be interested in spicy food? She seems to be the type to only eat fancy stuff, but she is a General, so maybe she'd eat anything as long as it is edible?

"None at all! Though it is quite scary knowing that my whole life's a TV show in your world." The existential crisis was something they just recently experienced during our explanations, but it was better for them to deal with it now and not when they eventually find it out. Sooner or later someone would find something from their world and start questioning things if they didn't know about what they know now.

"True. The rest already went through that, and even I had my moment of existential crisis." Since everyone here are characters from two forms of media, the chance of me being the same was also likely, right? It was a scary moment when it came, but I eventually moved on from it like the rest.

"Well, from now on we're friends! So whenever you need something, just ask, okay? No need to bury any negative feelings or depression, no need to be like, super secretive, 'cause I'll either sniff it out or 2B or Penny would eventually find out and bring it out of ya!" I read too much Miraculous Ladybug fanfic with bullied Marinette. God I need more good Marinette x any female character fanfics.

Then, suddenly, Marinette dropped a flashbang! A smile so sweet and gentle that it was as blinding as the sun! It was like Penny's, only flashier!

'If Esdeath saw Marinette's smile, would she drop her interest in me and go after Marinette, or chase for both of us?' It was an amusing thought, something I hoped was more of the latter case, because as Touka had said, I was a slut.

A few days passed, and after Touka and Esdeath were unbanned from accepting missions, we proceeded to do what us original members would usually be doing whenever we have free time. Train, spar, have picnics, and do friend stuff.

Objectively speaking, Esdeath was the strongest out of all of us, and now with her aura awakened, she was now even more so! Unsurprisingly, her Semblance, Savage, made her stronger the longer a fight was going on, similar to Kim's!

Marinette, on the other hand, being unable to use any of her Miraculouses due to the regulation of not being able to say anything about rhe DCG, was on the level of past-past-Kim, like before the the alien invasion. With her aura awakened, she gained a Semblance that, surprise surprise, gave her incredible luck, which was aptly named Lady Luck.

Then, after gaining information from them, I now knew that, like with Kim, Marinette was way pass her canon timeline. She was currently 18 and going through college in Paris since they hadn't defeated the new Hawk Moth yet. As for Esdeath, she was at the start of the anime, and I swore to make sure none of the main cast dies! Bullat was a bro, dude didn't deserve death. And, with some swaying, we should be able to influence Esdeath enough to at least have some good in her heart and be less bloodthirsty than she is in the anime.

You can't forcefully change a person, despite all the items in the Shop that contradicts that, and my own Semblance for one, but we're talking philosophically here. You can't change a person, you simply influence them. So that's what I aim to do! Plus, I would not want to be friends with a child murderer or an extreme sadist, that was just something my psyche wouldn't be able to handle. I mean, I may be somewhat fine if it was past killings, but present acts will surely affect not just me, but also our obviously good-aligned friends.

As the week comes closer and closer to an end, we surprisingly gained another mission! A very important one.
